Well that was. underwhelming!
3 points are 3 points I suppose but some very odd decisions:

1. Bruno is about as suited to playing out wide as Maguire would be.

2. Surely Greenwood had to play through the middle when he came on, rather than Rashford and Elanga?

3. Sancho (7/ 10) coming off before Rashford (3/ 10) was very strange.

In terms of goal mouth action, reasonably luck to win today IMO. Plenty of the ball, plenty of running around, but can't remember Guaita making a save.

What do you expect after 1 training session?

We were on the front foot. Lots of movement.
Team as a whole played up the pitch.
Lots of positives.
Lets get this momentum going .

Is this a serious post? Were you watching a different match? First half we played as we should be playing for 90mins. But our lazy players have not been used to pressing high up the pitch. How many chances did Palace have? We looked more in control than I've seen us in years.
Also, Rangnick has had 3 days with the players, were you seriously expecting us to change our play completely. Give the the man a chance, we gave Solskjaer 3 years and watched us play boring, unimaginative lazy and lethargic football, and yet, we're expecting all that to change in 3 days of coaching and 90mins of football.

I think people expect instant changes.

There was enough to suggest that after 1 training session that we are approaching things differently.

It took Klopp YEARS to get Liverpool playing as they do now.

Rangnick's style is team oriented, that takes time to implement.

I see enough to make me happy after a couple of days then I had seen in 3 years with Ole, firstly he must have bought Fred some new contact lenses because to be fair he was man of match today, every pass found a team mate.
We looked much quicker and found more space then ever.
Although I been saying all along we would look better without AWB and Shaw as fullbacks, because even though Telles are Dalot not so great they can cross and pass a ball and don’t either forever.

Ok we were playing Palace but we looked a lot worse this season against poor teams, and we got a clean sheet, if your not happy with that after a couple of days, I have no idea what you think football is!

Bruno didn’t play wide, we played a 4-2-2-2 and the width comes from any of the front 4, at times that meant Bruno pushed out wide but it meant the front 4 were fairly fluid and could create a lot of options.

It was a very promising performance for me, I enjoyed watching us, especially in the first half when we should have been a couple ahead on the balance of play. Deserved win in the end and I can’t remember the last time I thought that we should have won by more.

Thats 7/9 available points last 3 games. Cut the players and the team some slack as most would have never thought we would do that. It will be a team going through transition. Enjoy the ups and downs. I think we will have a very good second half of the season.
