So, Rangnick our manager, says in a press conference that Martial refused to be selected, yet Martial goes onto social media and denies it completely. Basically calling the manager, a liar.
What does the club do? Nothing. They allow a player to call the manager a liar, and they're not prepared to take action.
That in a nutshell, is how far this once great club, has sunk.
Since Fergie retired, there seems to be a free for all amongst the players to say and do whatever they want.
Pogba gets injured and decides to go to Dubai for two months while recovering.
Martial is called out by Rangnick, he just comes out and calls the manager a liar.
Lingard doesn't get picked, he starts posing in West Ham United shirt.
The list goes on. Someone at our club has to get hold of the situation and lay some ground rules. If they step out of line, fine them and stick them in the reserves. But unfortunately, this is never going to happen while the Glazer money making machine is in charge. They know taking strict action against these spoilt brats will wipe millions off their market value.
So, the vicious circle just keeps going round and round. It is really sad to see the state this club is in at present.

AAA

Completely agree some of these players should have been out the door fast. Martial’s feet would not have touched the floor under SAF. I worry that Fletcher has far too much influence.

I worry that Fergie has far too much influence and that's why we have Darren Fletcher as 'technical director', Ronaldo back at the club, Poch probably incoming as manager and talk of signing John McGinn.

Red Man, I share your concerns that Fletcher is just too close to Sir Alex and seems to be his ears on the ground. I could be completely wrong, but that is the impression I get.

Its not helped when you see images in the media of Sir Alex out having lunch with Michael Carrick. That might be completely innocent, maybe Carrick is asking Sir Alex's advice on a job offer he has. But it just further highlights that Sir Alex's fingerprints are still all over the club, which will make it hard for any manager coming in to stamp their authority.

Can RR drop Ronaldo without him running to his "father in football", what authority does Sir Alex have over RR? In either an official or unofficial capacity.

Pochettino is the firm favourite for to he the next full time manager. A man Sir Alex has a close relationship with, a man who he has met to discuss aspects of football. Pochettino may or may not be a good choice, yet if the man driving the interest in Pochettino is Sir Alex then where does that leave us?

Great post AAA, the Lingard Instagram stuff has really wound me up! Can’t believe we even let him train with first team, he’s hanging around to cream in a huge signing on fee in summer, blatantly taking the p. out of us so let’s shove him with the kids for 4 months!

It's frustrating for fans and manager to see these actions. In what job can you speak to your boss in this way and keep your job?
No direction from the top has been an issue for some time.
Great institutions are run by great management and great employees. Failed institutions are run by wild employees and weak management.
It's not rocket science.
