We just have to let the judicial process play out. Even if he is found innocent it will be very difficult for him to continue his career, if guilty then you’d assume a jail term is on the cards. Anyway it’s not really about mason but the victim, hopefully she is ok and can get the help she needs.

Tim, it is the victim who deserves all our support. Too often society ends up blaming the victims of such crimes.

For me the social media thing suggests that it was a desperate call to be heard and listened to. Was this news suppressed, and if so by who. If that is the case then those that suppressed these claims are almost as guilty as Mason himself, as they have at the minimum allowed this abuse to go on.

I hope she now gets the support she needs.

I think this has come up previously on here, I work for the Police ( not GMP) and this is likely to be a lengthy investigation/ process to get to the end.

All I will say is this, I do not want anyone associated with Man Utd who commits such crimes.

And I do not want anyone involved with United in any capacity who has had knowledge and tried to hide the matter or cover it up or do anything in any way to try to make this go away.

It's a shameful enough day to see our club name associated with this, if there has been more than just the actions of one scumbag then quite frankly I hope to God heads roll and they all get booted out and United begin to put it right by giving meaningful help and assistance to domestic and sexual abuse charities.

As for that poor young woman, I hope she finds some semblance of recovery in the future and that she is able to get through this horrific period.

I think who knew what and when did they know it, it is important, if anyone turned a blind eye to this I hope they go down with him .
I'm not saying anyone knew for sure but if anyone did and excused it because he's good at kicking a football then I hope they are out of man utd at the same speed as he is .
