I think that's the end of our top four hopes. Always still a chance but it's the slimiest of chances now.

We are a point behind Arsenal with 10 games left for us (Spurs, Liverpool, Leicester, Everton, Norwich, Arsenal, Brentford, Brighton, Chelsea and Palace) .

Arsenal have 13 games left. If they win their 3 games in hand then we are 10 points behind.

We need Arsenal to lose at least 5 of their remaining games. While at the same time we will need to get 26 or 27 points from our remaining 10 games. Meaning we can afford to lose one or draw a couple. Anymore than that then we need Arsenal to lose 6 or 7 of their remaining 13 games which just doesn't seem realistic.

Arsenal have to play Leicester, Liverpool, Villa, Palace, Brighton, Southampton, United, West Ham, Leeds, Newcastle, Everton, Spurs and Chelsea.

Many of the sides they play overlap with us (Leicester, Liverpool, Chelsea, Spurs, Palace, Everton and Brighton) . We have to better Arsenal in all those games.

We need to beat them when we play them, as they have some games against the likes of Leeds, and Newcastle that should be close to bankers for them. While Villa and Southampton might not have much to play for.

Like I said we can still get 4th, but we will need to win pretty much every games between now and the end of the season.

Top 4 is gone, let's hope we don't make europa either this shambolic squad don't deserve to take tbe place of a other team.

I don’t think any games are ‘bankers’ for Arsenal or any of the teams going for top 4. Just have to win our games and see where we end up.

Finishing outside of the top 4 might be the best thing for us in the long term. If we get top 4 we’ll naturally sign a ‘marquee’ signing who will be expected to be our teams saviour.
I think if we don’t get top 4 it will allow us to sign the sort of players we need, which right now are less glamorous players, but ones who have the right work ethic to be part of a new way of playing (hopefully) . Think Liverpool with some of their signings from teams like Southampton and turning them into stars.

{Ed077's Note - "Finishing outside of the top 4 might be the best thing for us in the long term." Someone posts this like every other year. Man Utd have finished below top 4 multiple times in the post Fergie. And are still in deep 5h1t. The recruitment is a mess regardless of whether there's CL footy or not. Sort the mess out. If the players aren't fully committed to the club then get rid, simple. You don't see Salah or KdB being accused of not having the work ethic despite being the 2 best players in the league. So these wanna be Superstars need to buck up and actually earn their place in the team. (SORRY for the rant)

also finishing outside the top 4 means potential incomings may not come to us due to lack of CL football.

As a club we are a mess and agree in getting rid of the pretenders, fakes and non committed - only problem is they (the non football guys who run the club) will simply replace like for like.
We are a shadow of what was Manchester United Football Club, we are merely an advertising board for the highest paying companies, irregardless of the product.
At this moment I can honestly see only further decline and not a glimmer of silverware ibn the next 5 years at least.
Yesterday showed us how far away we are from competing.
