Welcome ETH, although he is not my first choice and I have concerns, he is certainly a far better choice than the last permanent choice.

It will be interesting to see what structural changes are made, if any. Two scouts left, but I am not sure they were the right ones to leave. I don't see that Murtough, Judge and Arnold contribute as positively as they should on the football side. I also read about RR not wanting Fletcher shouting at players from the touchline. Said so many times what was Fletcher doing on the bench. Fletcher and Phelan also need to go. The club needs a shake up and I would be worried ETH is not going to get the structured support he needs.

Lastly, long said the club needs direction from owners down that Football not Finance is the driver. If they want to do that, change the badge back to Manchester United Football Club. It would be a start.

All the best ETH.

Phelan needs to go but fletcher needs to do what his job role entails.

Ive excited to see what he can do but and its a big but, we need to clear the club of the rotten tomatoes and let him build a team tbat suits his style.

Murtough and Arnold can only start to be judged from now imo Red Man. This is the first manager they have brought in, so now he needs the backing like you say to make the calls he feels he needs too.

Very excited to see what the squad looks like by the end of the summer window. More interested in who goes if I’m honest.

Red, we should go back to the 1958 crest with the Eagle, it often got mistaken for a Phoenix rising from the ashes, probably appropriate at this time.

I watch in hope and not expectation that overall things will improve.

Arnold has said the right things so far and seems to have learned from Woodward's mistakes.

Murtaugh apparently was a supporter of Rangnick and for EtH so he seems to understand the need to bring in proven football expertise and isn't seduced by the big brand name people.

I'm excited by EtH as his team's play an exciting style of football and he has a proven track record of developing youth players and turning players into top level players. He also has a winning pedigree and the CV to back up his methods.

However, just like any manager he needs to be given the tools to succeed. Whether real change is happening at the club will become apparent over the next few years. Whether we see progression and an aim to get back to the top of the football pyramid or whether we will see more of the same.

I live in hope it's the former and not the latter.

Ten Hag needs the fans, former players and media to give him time and be realistic about what he can achieve in the short term. Unfortunately, that’s not going to happen is it? Make a bad start and idiots like those making hoax bomb threats to players will be all over social media saying he’s out of his depth and they’ll be followed by former players who wanted Poch and mainstream media who generate clicks and sell papers based on crises at our club. It’s up to the loyal (non-toxic) fan base to support ETH and allow him time to get things back on track. Best of luck to him as he has an enormous task on his hands to turn things around given the way the club is run. Let’s hope he is a thundering success and we get to see some good football with players giving their all on the pitch for the shirt. That’s all real fans want.
