Another tabloid source claiming today that Eric Ramsay the set piece coach is set to stay on under ETH -following on from other tabloids reporting the same story earlier this week.

The success of our set pieces -for attacking and defending against is very very easy to measure and by any standard its terrible, just worse than useless so what's he being rewarded for?

Bfbw. He is a very well qualified and highly regarded young coach.
I agree his cv to date is not exactly glittering. however he obviously has the smarts and knowledge perhaps eth feels he can get more from him with better direction.
Like some of our players will be improved dramatically with better coaching and direction.
Please be patient. Some folk on here are second guessing decisions eth is making on players and his staff. He knows best so let him get what he wants and needs around him and see how he does if in 6 months we are not improving somewhat then let's ask questions. Some players have not even had a proper professional elite working environment since they joined the club. Nor has Ramsey. Its been a mess for 4 years. Patience maturity and understanding is what eth needs. That plus respect for his decisions.
We don't have to agree but we need to understand he knows his ideas and his plans. He knows what he is doing let him Get on with it. Nobody here has any idea what his plan is so until it transpires there is no point in dwelling on what might or might not happen imo.

Is be being rewarded? If you're boss called you into the office and said you weren't being sacked, would you consider that a reward?

He's under contract and according to those who have worked with him he's done a decent job.

I'm sure EtH will work with him and if he doesn't feel he cuts the mustard will look to replace him.

It's always useful to have a couple of guys around who know what the old regime was like, who knows the players and can work with the new management set up.

Who is to say that he had good ideas and worked well in training with the team and that they just did not impliment it in matches. Based on what we have seen from this bunch it would not be the strangest thing.

I think the players refused to actually follow instructions whilst on the pitch. We saw this wher ein the first half under RR they played a high pressing football. Second half they just stopped.

Later on they just stopped altogether. The coach and the staff will always take the flack.

The problem is that the club need to back the manager and his coaching team. If players need to be sold to make a point, then so be it.
