Here's an interesting thought. Ajax ae rumoured to want in excess of £68m for Antony this summer. While Leeds want around £60-65m for Raphinha.

Both are left footed Brazilians who play from the right, both will reported cost the same.

If given the choice which would you go for?

The one ETH wants.

Raphinha has the Prem experience. But he also has that South American mopey factor that really puts me off (see Richarlison also) . Prefer Antony personally, seems a bit more energetic but is probably higher risk. Some of his tricks aren't going to cut it against Prem fullbacks.

Ports, that's the one the club should go for.

I was more interested in who the other posters rate.

Spenno, I'd me more inclined to go with Raphinha, who to be fair to him has many admirers. Barcelona, Bayern Munich, Chelsea, Spurs and Arsenal would all like to sign him.

For me there are several reasons why Raphinha would make more sense.

Firstly, he is EPL proven. In a window where we might only get 2 or 3 players to improve the first 11 he is definitely the less risky of the two.

Secondly, he has a good relationship with Bruno and I think that could help him settle and create a better dressing room.

Thirdly, he is older and hitting his prime. This is a twofold benefit in that not only does that mean we get a player who can be relied upon more consistently to perform, but it also means he isn't totally blocking the pathway for players like Garnacha and Shoretire who are only 4 years younger than Antony who would be a longer term road block to their development.

Finally, at this moment in time I think Raphinha is the better player, and would make the more immediate impact. Even if Antony might have slightly more potential.

I'm always dubious when we hear x team is interested in this or that player. Where does this stuff come from lol. Having sold arguably their best player already, will Leeds even want to sell him? Barcelona have various options in his position even if Dembele leaves) . Arsenal seems likely.

I'd take Antony over Raphina as ultimately he's Ten Hag's choice. Younger than Raphinha, possibly higher ceiling and wants to play here / for Ten Hag.

Appreciate Raphinha has more immediate impact being older and with prem experience. Realistically we are building a side now to challenge in 2 or 3 seasons hence the younger man who can already play / excel in Ten Hag's system would be a much better fit long term.
