Are we now done with the de Jong deal or are are we still playing the game of chicken with Barca.

Its not chicken. Why would we have to pay accrued wages Barcelona owes the player. Barcelona is a mess.

Who knows, until either the player signs and holds up the shirt or the transfer window slams shut with him still in Catalonia we won't know.

There is little is any point reading the "latest" reports, or trying to get a blow by blow account of what happened each day.

Very few people know what happens on a daily basis and none of them will put it out in the press.

At the end of the day do you really care how a deal gets done?

Do you care about the ins and outs of the Bruno Fernandes deal that took him from Lisbon to Manchester?

Of course not, you only care that Bruno is a red.

Likewise, do you really care what happened in all the deals the club have explored but ultimately didn't sign the player?

Again probably not, what difference does it make now. Does how Ronaldinho ended up in Catalonia rather than Manchester back in 2003 keep you awake at night?

The transfer window will be what it will be regardless of what we know or don't know. It won't change who walks out onto that Old Trafford pitch in August.

We will make signings, some you'll be happy with, some you won't know a lot about and some you'll dislike. Again, how you feel or what you know about each signing will bare no relevance on whether that player is successful or not at our club.

Try and sit back and relax, do the things you love doing, spend time with family and friends, watch other sports. But don't get your knickers in a twist over the inane rumblings of the press about the club's summer transfer business.

Shappy, there’s some double standards going on here mate! Your telling the OP to chill and not get his knickers in a twist, yet you spend half your time writing essays on transfer dealings that you know nothing about!

And you read them FiremanC!

FiremanC, have you read those post?

I comment on the news of the day and how it could impact the squad as pure speculation.

Not once have I been worried about the signings we are making or the lack of them. I haven't complained about the amount of time it's taking to get transfers over the line. I'm not worried about which players have left or which ones have stayed currently.

I'm relaxed and chilled, what will be will be. Happy to discuss the speculation, theorise how that might play out for the club, etc. But my knickers remain untwisted, I'm not going to get all bent out of shape because some rag has written this or that about this player or that player.

No mate, haven’t read your posts as I tend to get a bit sleepy after the first paragraph!
