'Yes it holds us back in our levels and also in our league position, when you don't have the players available you can't line up the best team'

Here we go with this bs injury excuse again, I wondered how long it would be until he trotted this out. Worry is though that some actually buy into this crap. Sorry eth but the biggest thing holding us back is you.

Sorry but he does have a point. I mean the injury list again is ridiculous. 3 midfielders went to Turkey. that's just not acceptable for any team never mind utd. Some of these players are wet wipes.

Love him or hate him, he does have a point though lol. Hardly BS.
But injuries or not, I don't think he can get away with it this season again. Man Utd should be able to cover to an extent with a line-up good enough to win most games.
I thought we'd got in 'best in class' to sort out all this medical gumf?

Last night yes but the injury list hasn’t been extensive all season. More excuse building to buy more time.

Norn, he was asked a question last night and answered it quite rightly, what do you expect him to say? We have had injuries all season, like other teams, and to suggest it has no influence is ridiculous.
There are enough valid reasons to criticise without having to rely on twisting and misrepresenting and taking thing's out of context.

Okay let’s try this again. Why are you misrepresenting things norm. Post the entire exchange. What did he say that was like an excuse based on the question that was asked. Don’t be a click bait merchant

If you think having 9 or 10 guys out should have no bearings on a teams performance, you have a very skewed view of football and reality.

My point is simple injuries or no injuries we still play the same way and have the same issues.

Norm,

Your point is you don’t want him and anything he says does or says is wrong.

If you don’t see a difference in terms of what we do comparative to last year, then we are watching a very different game.

I can see what he is trying to do, The results till now might not all show it but clear what he is trying to build.

Last night can only be described as a patched up team.
A draw under the circumstances and the flow if the game was a decent result.
On Sunday he will have and will start start 9 or 10 of his best 11 available this season. Mainoo is the only 1st choice starter from the beginning of the season unavailable, so add Shaw to that and he has them available.

Most of the injured players now are squad players of the ten missing now who would be regular 1st choice?

I have no idea what you are watching Ahmad and i have given up on actually trying to even understand what you have to say. You just have a eth fetish and have an excuse for everything just like eth.

I quite like Ahmad’s posts and feel we are aligned on our views of the game. To me, it feels like there is something brewing in this side, it’s just not clicked yet. With a settled back 4 desperately needed and an actual fit left back, I think you’ll see a transformation as the side can build out from the back.

He’s building a decent young side, and to me it takes time with young players.

My main concern are the constant injuries - what are the players doing in training to mean they’re always injured?

The decision to not buy an actual left back was ridiculous, and I’d expect that to be remedied in the January window, with a loan at least.

I can't believe ETH hasn't stopped the roof leaking yet, what an amateur.

Give me a break Ahmad. What could you possibly be seeing other than:

- inability to retain possession
- inability or lack of desire to press
- inability to score
- at times shocking defensive organisation
- individual moments covering for lack of a team
- random team rotation over selection of form
- overtly defensive substitutions
- (yet clear inability to hold on to any lead)
- a manager that stifles creativity
- a manager that still sounds like a prototype robot
- a manager whose sideline body language is woeful
- ludicrous injury list caused by more than bad luck
- absolutely no clear style of play
- dependence on select players regardless of form
- poor management at left-back (Amass, Alvaro)
- over a year since last win in Europe
- no explanation of what strategy is
- 21st in league 2 of Europe
- 10pts behind PL leaders after just 8-matches
- bullsh*t post match interviews
- worst player signing ever (fidget spinner)
- manager losing the coaching staff yet alone players
- without doubt our joint worst ever manager

He’s down there with Dave Sexton. He’s still there because INEOS dithered. He’s thankfully gone soon. I don’t remember any manager at any club clinging on so desperately without any justification. The only person I can compare him to from a competence perspective is Boris Johnson.

I posted a while back that he’ll probably last the season as a poor placeholder that will seriously test our patience. Having checked our fixture list I believe he’ll be sacked week commencing 6th Jan 25.

Ahmad

Injuries or not we should be seeing a style of play emerge but the first principle should be that we attack, we play to win, however we don’t and Thursday was a very clear example.

So, is this a second season of injury excuses, what about 2025/ 26? Pesky injuries yet again prevent ETH from getting top four.

Anyone playing a right back at No10 is not looking to attack and win.
Anyone putting Antony on before Amad, isn’t attack minded.

Please tell me what he is trying to build? What is this style of play?
Secondly, a leader takes us all on a journey with them, can you tell me therefore, where ETH has explained the process and what it looks like at the end?

26 Oct 2024 08:47:09
There might be a few injuries, but who is missing from what would be our strongest side? The other night Bruno and shaw are the only two who were missing that I’d say would have been nailed on starters.

Yes there’s injuries which impact depth, but what starts on the pitch should be showing some sort of cohesive structure that’s well drilled and working to a plan.

We can complain about 3 midfielders going. But he knew his deck, why was Jack fletcher on the bench in the league then not the Europa? Constant complaints about having no fit defenders last year and having to change every week. Yet he’s doing that this season? Martinez moving to left back and a full back playing number 10. You can’t make it up, honestly.

No one forced the club to buy Mason Mount of which he had a say.

16.) 26 Oct 2024
26 Oct 2024 10:02:50
We haven’t played with an actual left footed left back (not counting Martinez as he’s a CB) for 251 days, Malacia last played 514 days ago, it’s absolutely crazy we didn’t sign a left back in the summer.

17.) 26 Oct 2024
26 Oct 2024 13:54:56
Seems to be a lot of stories about Alphonso Davies cropping up in the last few weeks. Maybe just coincidence with his contract situation or maybe there's genuine interest there. Can't help but feel that it will only take a giant like Real or City to declare interest too and that's that.

18.) 26 Oct 2024

Mainoo, Caolan? I'd say he's already our best midfielder.

Sorry Nou I forgot Mainoo.

So in reality we have a couple of nailed on starters out.
