The possible appointment of Amorin leaves me feeling very excited.
Not nervous if his track record or his CV but because he plays a totally different type of game to anything we've seen at the club possibly ever.
I can't remember us every playing 3 at the back for sustained periods.
I'm assuming he will stick with that.
This is good news for many of our players in my opinion.
This will also change our shopping g list for future windows considerably I'd imagine.
The squad shape will be different. Requiring 5 or 6 cbs and 4 wing backs. 4 cm
6 forwards.
Currently we have 6cbs lenny ndl martinez maguire lindelof Evans. The latter 3 are all out of contract in the summer so 3 needed there.
Dalot maz could cover rwb
Shaw malcia lwb so 1 new needed there plus amass.
Cm erikson cas ugarte mainoo. 2 new needed there. Bruno and possibly mount may move to towards.
Zirk rasmus rashford mount Bruno Antony garnacho amad fighting it out for 3 places I only see Bruno rasmus and garnacho as certainties to be here next season so work to be done there.
Really excited by the possibilities.

I am more delighted to hear news coming out, that he brings his backroom staff, and is not made to forcibly work with previous coaches like RVN. No news on Rene Hake.

I may be wrong but it could be the reversal of fergie era. Pep was there as fergie was coming to the end of his tenure but chose to go to city. pep coming to the end of his tenure and amorim chose to come to us. Let's hope so.

I am very excited if, as I hoped, Amorim is appointed. Great age, modern coach, attack minded. Some of the things I heard were very positive, seen as potentially very special.
I also saw that he came to Carrington for a week when Mourinho was manager, so he has had a taste of the club.
This is a real change in direction, a decisive well thought out decision.
Easier to come now when 14th, rather than after the cup final when many may have resented the change, even if it was needed. Why go to City when potentially they will have similar challenges we had when SAF retired. Coming to us now, when we hit what we hope is rock bottom, gives a great up side.
I think this is the best choice of manager since they went to get SAF.

I was not in the slightest enthused when ETH got the job. If I am totally honest I’d never really heard of him. That’s not to say I wished he wasn’t successful. Never was a fan since day 1 but no self respecting fan wants the team to lose because they don’t like the manager. I accepted the adults decision to keep him on as they are supposedly the experts but am equally pleased they pulled the pin.
However on this occasion I am really looking forward to an upturn in fortunes. Sadly it will once again be a process as we shift on unwanted players and rest the clock.
As a great man once said. “Ask me after 10 games”.

Keefy
He never made it to 10 games:) In Amorim's case ask me after the season is over. He needs time and people are underestimating the jump to pl comparative to the Portuguese league.
The players will need time to get used to his system and do what they are supposed to and most have never played in a back 3 set up.

A bit of patience will be needed too. He will still have the same players, I doubt the January window will buy much. He will need to get that front line working, at the minute they don't look good enough to me. The only player I have confidence in hitting the target is Erikson.
