i don't watch much European football I couldn't pick Victor Osimhen out of a line up - we seem heavily linked with him anyone got any opinion on him, would he be a good fit for us and which English striker would you say he most closely resembles over last 10 years which would give me a better idea than you tube clips.

Youtube will make him looks like prime Diego Costa or Didier Drogba.
Think he's more closer to Dominic Calvert Lewin if you watched him for 90 mins for half a season.

I watched him in a European game for the Turkish club he is on loan at. Very impressed with what I saw, looked quick, runs get him into the right goal scoring areas, good angles, dangerous. I don’t know his attitude, but looked a very dangerous goal scoring forward. He looked far better than Dominic CalvertnLewin to me in the one game I viewed.

There's someone who looks exactly like him but wears a mask so it can't be him. Though never seen the two in the same room.
Is he the hero we deserve?

You normally post some good things dodgy but the comparison between Osimhen and DCL is one of the worst shouts I’ve ever seen on this page, and there has been some completion.

In terms of playing style he's a suitable option. Quick, strong, direct and clinical, while he is technically secure as well.
The big problem is his injury record, he has missed at least 30% of available league minutes every season for the past 4 years.
Given that the EPL is a much more physically demanding league do we want a player who will miss at least 1 in every 4 games due to injury?
That's my real worry.
While the fact that he has twice fallen out with his club (Lille and now Napoli) should also be of concern. Although I confess to not know the ins and outs of the situations and who was to blame. Yet he has been the common denominator, so common sense would suggest that he was at least partially to blame.
The fact that he is a good player, and yet no other top clubs are seriously interested in him and he has had to go to Turkey on loan would also suggest that something has put the other top clubs off. Especially as PSG, Bayern and Barcelona have all kept tabs on him in the past. While those clubs have chosen to sign Kolo Muani, Harry Kane and Lewandowski instead of Osimhen in recent seasons.
If his attitude is good, AND he can stay fit, AND he adapt to the EPL, AND we can get him at a fair price and not outrageous wages (possibly with a large proportion appearance based), then he could be a good signing. However, that's a lot of ifs.

Let’s be honest a loan of some kind is all we can hope for in Jan.
I know Osimhen has his critics here and Rasmus is young and has potential but he should not be anywhere near being Manchester United’s only out and out no 9.
I would be surprised to get Osimhen but stranger things have happened and like anyone who comes in on loan will be keen to impress. It’d be good to have someone more experienced and effective up front.

That’s why a loan would be perfect. If he spends all day playing Roblox with Shaw and Mount in sickbay, then that’s enough evidence not to pursue him.
But if we’re a bit morr positive and If he (or anyone else) comes in and busts a gut every game and pushes us up the table for the second half of the season that’s good enough for me.

He has a crappy attitude though. He had exorbitant wage demands which put both Chelsea and SA clubs off. The only reason he is playing on loan in Turkey now is because he burnt his bridges with Napoli after other clubs turned away from him. He has good ability but thinks he is better than he actually is. I'd love for him to join you lot though since I can see it ending in tears for everyone ;)
