Heard that SAF has one more season and that Glaziers will use that to prepare the club for sale.
Fergie has all but won the EPL with an inferior squad to City the only funds he will have is from sales -gutted coz I thought we could build on this squad
Possible sales are Berby, Macheda, Nani, Evra, Ferdy, Park, and some of the younger reserves.
The feeling is that Pogba will join City
Not good news but whatever only is raised will be available but no more
There was no news on what happeneds after that as that is all down to how the new ownership is structured
All from a fairly good source who is in for a really good hangover -as am I
Bloody students!! {Ed007's Note - Berby? Ferdy? It has been a long day, I think I will get Ed002 to put me back in my cage.}

He just comes across as either a s**t comedian or a cocky t**t.

Barcelona win 4.0 and are now just a point off Real Madrid. Real Madrid play Atletico Madrid tomorrow in the local derby. Massive game for Jose and Co. Still think Barcelona will win La Liga and CL.

Liverpool seem to be going for the record of most keepers sent off in a week. Lol. But on another note everytimes I see Hoilett he impresses me. Bayern are apparenty keeping tabs on him and on a free could be a great replacement for Park.

It seems like alot of people are whinning about Balotelli's ban not being extended but why does this even matter? He is unlikely to feature for city this season either way and he will be off in the next transfer window. So whats the fuss all about? We need to just focus on winning our remaining matches.
Anyways, i think 2moro's squad will be something like this:
Gea
jones evans smalling evra
valencia carrick giggs young
rooney hernandez

subs:
scholes, welbeck, park(he may start ahead of young), nani(not sure he is fit yet, if he isnt, he could be replaced by ferdy or even progba), amos, twins.

I hate to suggest this, and it might not go down to well. But i'm going to say it anyway just to see the reaction.

I think possibly we need a bit more experience in the squad as Giggs/Scholes etc will probably retire at the end of next season. So a top player who has experience would be great. Sneijder would be a good signing i think, but it depends whether we would go back in for him.

I came back up with Sneijder's name because i think that we need a top quality striker up top, and the only truly world class striker we have is Rooney. If we were to play Rooney in front of Sneijder i think that would be great. Furthermore i still think Welbeck and Hernandez would get plenty of games. Hernandez off of the bench and Welbeck can of course play on the left hand side as well.

If we signed Sneijder i would give Owen a new one year deal whilst Keane gets experience on loan. Petrucci as well will get more games next season i feel. Sneijder, whilst being expensive, would save us a lot of money as splashing out on a striker and probably not buying a left midfielder would do us well. Although i'd still like Rodriguez, Hazard or Moura.

On top of Sneijder i think that Clyne would be a good, risk free buy. Other work i could see being done would be a striker like Victor Fisher for the future and perhaps a squad typle central midfielder, young and British perhaps for example Barkley, Rodwell, Allen, McCarthy, or if we wanted to we could get Dempsey. Lastly, instead of splashing out on Rodriguez or Hazard, we could get a quality option for free in Hoilett. I think there is a lot of good business available out there this summer, some of which i'm sure SAF will find.

__________De Gea
Rafa___Ferdy___Vidic___Evra
_______Clevs___Carrick
Toni______Sneijder____Nani
__________Rooney

We'd have good options then without splashing too much money (although Sneijder would be a lot). All in all we could get something like Sneijder, Allen, Hoilett Clyne and Fischer for around £50 million at most. The wage bill wouldn't be a problem either as Berbatov amongst others would leave.

The 20th title is in sight guys. Congrats to the managers and to the players. With one of the worst injury records in history of the premier league, our players were able to step up and carry the burden ( Valencia, evans, carrick.... ) while some other players were slotted in the team ( jones, cevers, pogba, fryers...). Our failiures in europe have drawn attention to the imperfections of our squad ( most notably the lack of vision ) so the supporters have been crying out for a worldclass midfielder who could add the steel to our midfield and another atm who would allow rooney to get back into his more advanced position. The likes of martinez, ericksen, gotze, strootman, de rossi .... have all been suggested on here. And because im seriously bored im gona examine every department of our squad.

-GK:

no comments whatsoever for de gea and lindegard. on another note im really exited about sam johnstone hope hell get his chance in the next couple of years and i beleive amos should be on his way out ( 21 and far from the first team, too good to be 3rd choice keeper )

-Central defense :

.Vidic: excellent, hope he still has the quality we are all used to
.Ferdinand: at 33, he is in the final stages of his career and is a great influence for the youngsters. Maybe the next season will be his final because of his back problems.
.Evans: first choice or not, evans is a very talented individual and has a bright future in front of him, hopefully hell be here for a long time.
.Smalling: quality and on his way to becoming world class. Probably the second best defender in our squad ( injuries permitting ) and will be part of our CD for a very long time.
.Jones: a lot have been slating him for his performances in CD and saying he is a better central midfielder, i beleive he is top class and can be the new john terry. He has been inconsistent at the back but come on! he is a 19 yo kid who has been asked to play at rb and central midfield and he is probably a little bit lost.
We dont need any new central defenders especially with michael keane having a lot of potential.

Full-backs:

.Evra: great influence in the dressing room, has a couple of seasons in the club left in him but should really start beeing benched.
.Fabio: injuries... the guy is class but his injury record is bad and unless something changes might be on his way to la liga. ( i beleive barca is his future as a replacement to abidal ).
.Fryers: not seen enough of him to judge but by what ive een he is the best athlete in the reserves, calm headed and good workrate, not unlike liverpool's jose enrique but if his contract situation is true than i would want him out of our club imo. Should be gien his chance next year if not.
.Rafael: brilliant. Supports valencia extremly well and is becoming less rash and at 21, he is future worldclass.
Now i dont think we need a new leftback imo because fryers and fabio need to be given their chance ( especially fryers ) and blackett is not far behind and potentially better than fryers. But we do need cover and competition for rafael and that would be clyne.

central midfield:

.Scholes: worldclass. Has another year left in him and should be rotated with clevers and anderson next season so no need for luka modric imo ( unless they both turn out to bee too injury prone ).
.Carrick: top player. A calming influence in a game and a must in every squad. Should be rotated too next year ( with pogba especially ) but still has a job to do.
.Fletcher: unlikely to recover and get his form and workrate back. Would be awesome though if he stays and can still do a job.
.Cleverley: might be the type of players we are lacking with his ticki tacka style ( not a big fan of barca style but a good passer in the midfield is a must ) . I dont think he is injury prone and hopefully i wont be proven wrong. Ill post a video later on of him with the under 21 squad and the type of play he can create.
.Anderson: i am a big fan of anderson to be honest. The boys talent is unbeleivable and gven the right circumstances can turn out to be a top top player. Everyone seems to forget that anderson was the catalysyst of our attacking play the beginning of tthis season. While cleverley was doing a good job, it was anderson who was always chasing the ball, running at defenses, dribbling past players and unlocking defenses with his astute passes. Decent passing range too and beeing played in a more advanced role should bring out the best in him.
Now for pogba, unless he agrees a deal in the next couple of weeks he is pretty much off to another team. Unbeleivable potential but is more like a seedorf than a vieira imo. Ryan tunicliffe is the reason why i dont think fergy is eager to get martinez. beleive it or not, we ve got a young roy keane on our hands lads. Oliver norwood is proving to be a veery good player with a good vision and might have a future at united.

Attacking midfielders, wingers:
.Valencia: worldclass and is the reason why we are able to say we re 8 points clear imo. Hope he cuts inside more and thats it.
.Nani: i rate him higly. While he is extremly inconsistent, i do beleive he needs game time to improve. His talent is undoubted and the fact that he can use both feet and dribble through the tightest defenses might make him more suited to be an attacking midfielder.
.Young: lost respect for him since his dive and never rated him highly. Decent player, great shot and can draw a foul or two but not good enough and should be sold in a couple of years.
A lot of talents are coming through the reserves who are able to play as forwards and atm but the one that impresses me the most is davide petrucci. Should be given his chance in a couple of years. Ando should be able to do a job here too. The other academy graduates are far from the first team ( cole lingard .... ).

Strikers:
.Rooney: he should be played as a striker. His through balls are not those of silva and his dribling is not effective. his shooting and finishing is. He clearly wants to become a playmaker but he is a better striker.
.Chicharito: needs game time and might prove to be one of the best finishers man utd has ever seen. But his game relies on the chances created and unless theres a good attacking team behind him, he cant be effective. I do rate him highly though.
.Danny welbeck: looks like a complete package, also able to play on the wing. Watching him is very funny though as he seems to trip over his own shadow but i do think he has a bright future.
As for the academy/ reserves level we have a lot of decent strikers coming up. will keane cant seem to stop scoring even when hes having a bad patch. Cofie looks like the real deal : tall strong and good with the ball. Bebe i know nothing about him and king looks to find his form and he looks like the closest thing to ronaldo ( brazilian ) and should earn himself a loan to a pl club.

So in conclusion i dont think we need half as many players as some think. Bringing quality signings who would change the team might be good for instant success but building a team around homegrown players who know the meantality of the club and know how to play together. We might not be able to challenge on the champions league next year but in a couplle of years time we would be the english version of barcelona : a team built around our own academy.
martinez would claim a starting place for the next 10 years so i would take strootman over him because hes cheaper and wouldnt claim a starting place but improves the quality of the squad. As for the wingers/ atm i would love if we can get hazard but rodriguez looks more likely and clyne should be on his way. Lets raise our own players, not buy them guys, especially now that we have enough wuality to challenge for titles but maybe not win them all. 2014 season should see the rise of manchester united on a european scale ( on budget ) and the following policy would allow us to get rid of the debts gradually.
.strootman: 15 m
.rodriguez: 20m
.clyne: 1-2 mil

if the money is available than hazard is a must and martinez should be on his way to OT. umlickly to get both though.

we should also try our best to sign the best youngsters for our academy. I beleive both of the following players are top talents and might become world class: lucas ocampos ( fast tall strong and a great shot: the new ronny ) and mateo kovacic !

Very very disappointed with Ashley Young. Diving has never been Manchester United's way as Rio pointed out to Ronaldo and Nani. Let's hope he points it out to young who went down like Norman Wisdom. Just wished the boss had come out and condemned it. Just cos everyone else does is not a reason for us to cheat as that is what it was cheating. I AM KLOOT

Hi eds nd fellow reds of manchester. Read two different posts regarding two different things.
The first one regarding spending £100m to improve the squad. My list goes like this:
£14m- C.Azpilicueta- RB/LB. Versatile and solid in my view. Wud b a welcome addition to the squad.

£11m- Kevin Strootman- CM. Solid, young, talented nd exactly what we need. Also a very gud squad player.

£45m- Iker Muniain plus James Rodriguez-WM/AM. Both guys talented, versatile nd left footed. Both wud improve the squad.

£15m- Andre Schurrle- Forward. Good players with a lot of potential nd vesatile as well. Again wud improve the squad.
£15m- On young players for academy nd a new experienced striker

Also the £100m doesn't include money from sales.
The outgoings will be:
Kuzsack- £1m
Anderson- £8m
Nani- £25m
Park- £8m
Berbatov- £8m
Macheda- £1m
De Laet- £1m
Scholes- retire
Giggs- retire
Owen- free
Our team for next season will look like this:
Starting 11:
----------DeGea----------
-Azpi--Vida--Small--Evra- -----Stroots--Clevs----- -Toni---Muniain---James- ---------Rooney---------
Subs:
Lindegaard
Rafa
Jones
Carrick
Schurrle
Welbeck
Hernandez
Rest of squad:
Amos
Fab
Evans
Rio
Zeki
Pogba
Fletch
Young
A striker
Other Youngsters

The other post was bout replacing SAF and i think it has to be a top manager who is good tactically nd i believe it sud b one of them:
Loew
Mourinho
Guardiola.

Reading this page and the banter between Arsenal and Manchester United fans is very funny. IMO we had two huge blips this season. The first one was the beginning of the season and the 2nd one was in janurary. My main point is that the reason why we haven't won anything in the past 7 years was the stadium move and inexperiance. That is the difference between Arsenal & Man Utd. They both have great managers. Ferguson imo words can't describe wat he's done for Man Utd and I believe what Wenger has done for Arsenal and English football is remarkable. ATM my combined Man UTD-Arsenal team would be:____________Shezza/DDG____________
_Sagna___Vermaelen____Vidic____Evra
__________Song__Wilshere___________
Valencia______Rooney___________Nani
______________RVP__________

Would have Carrick but due to Adrian Durham over rating him I didn't pick him. (Stupid reason). This is a guy that said Man city would win the champions league.

I think alot of people have managed to get ahead of themselves with "number 20" there is six games left between now and the end of the season and to be honest I would say that Villa and Everton are experianced prem teams who coyld easily cause and upest, the City game will be huge. Swansea have caused many upsets already this season and are playing great football and Sunderland away on the last day of the season will be tough, O'Niell is a great manager and there are alot of ex united players who will want to prove a point. If City win every game between then we only need to slip up twice against the likes of Villa Everton Swansea and Sunderland and the title will slip between our fingers. And thats discounting a wigan side that cause a problem tomorrow. So lets not be arrogant and wait until its won to celebrate it.

This ben guy and all the arsenal fans are starting to annoy me now. Our squad is superior without a doubt, after all were 8 points clear of citeh, and all but set for a 20 title, I don't understand how he can come on here and slate us and say Arsenal are better and to even compare his youngsters to our is ludicrous, our youngsters more than likely compete and get far in any competition they enter, I never hear Arsenal youngsters winning anything in their youth squads.. It has been a poor year in the EPL this year, your only in 1st because SAF is a genius.

A lot of people excluding Man U fans, agree that Rio is past it and no where near what he use to be and that Jones looks shakey at the back.

Nani has done F'all this season. (Dont give me assist stats) Get to grips with your team.

I am an Arsenal fan, we are only 3rd because of the poor display of the EPL.

If we were up there with united then fair enough, but were not and for that reason alone you dont go comparing players...

United have a squad of players that know how to win, and win trophies year in year out, period.

Until we can do that I honestly dont think we can go comparing players, however good we think certain players are.

Am I the only one that think the possible 9 game ban being reported on Balotelli is ridiculous. Why was his tackle thought to deserve punishment longer than a violent conduct ban? I think it's a shame how Mancini has treated him and tried to 'tough love' him but ultimately he's probably caused all the downfall of City with his man management.

I mean watch a City game and you see him flailing his arms about like a madman, screaming at the players, clearly cursing in Italian. That rashness and excitement clearly bleeds into the players and causes that lack of concentration and calmness.

Not only that, watching the Arsenal game, I noticed that when Yaya Toure went off who did they have in midfield? Barry and Milner, which is essentially Aston Villa's old midfield, which is far from a championship winning midfield in my opinion. I think they are both vastly overated because they are enlgish and have no idea why Barry gets in the England side over Carrick. Barry is slower than Carrick (which truly is some feat), he is negative, he can't tackle and pretty much the same age I think but he's in worse team. Now, Milner, I am so glad he never came to us. I think his work rate and physical attributes make up for the average footballing skill set he has, in my honest opinion.

Bit of a rant but, I fully expect to spark a lively debate.

also why are you bantering with us, shouldn't you be on the Tottenham or Newcastle page talking about your mediocre club?

PS: there's only RVP, wilshere and maybe vermaelen id have from the arsenal side.
AOC looks like a good youngster, but the only reason he turned down united was because his dad, he knew he'd get more playing time at arsenal because their poor team is easier to break into.
also if you want to get into a "he turned you down for us" then just remember rafael, fabio, ronaldo and jones all turned you down and look at what they have won since doing so.

Carrick has to go. Scholes at 38 is still a superior player. Carrick offers nothing defensively or going forward ( averages 2-3 goals a season).

He can't tackle and does not create many assists.
He is a very average player made to look better than he is by the quality around him.

I'm sorry but your last post has made you look a bit of a knob. You say Scezney supports Arsenal, I remember watching an interview he gave where he said he supported Barca and its his dream to play for them. You also say that all the players that left you have failed, you clearly haven't been watching Fabregas. Next you say you have the best youngsters, I think LFC and Man U would have something to say about that.
