The whole wesley is a gamble thing is true but there's jst as much if not more in nasri (who I think is quality) n goteze sanchez. Berba was proven in prem n cudnt make the step up. On the market now wes is the best proven midfeilder out there he has won almost evry thng. We wud all of had reservations abt vdv but he proved his class for spurs n I thnk dutch players adapt t prem than most others. So I think wes has t b our no 1 target. Modric is goin t chels n nasri will stay at arse. Wud luv nasri or wes. United99

Im a liverpool fan, but as much as i dislike man utd, i would like you to sign sneijder.

For the premier league it would be great to get one of the worlds best midfielders in england.

but it would be funny to see nasri and cesc leave and see arsenal decline.

Find somewhere in my post I said any of that

also I think he can read himself and doesn't need you to post for him, although having read that response you quite clearly do not read properly yourself."""
dear unnamed sir
how presumptious of ngiak
he assumed you knew what ngiak was talking about the whole day
well apologies all around
ngiak must keep his posts much simpler
those you quoted ngiak writing were NOT your words dear sir
they were what ngiak was trying to say
when you so eloquently with your vast level of maturity
so courteously requested ngiak to acquire a brain
and vehemently tried to put ngiak down
since you continue to persist in misunderstanding and make a fool out of yourself in public
ngiak has decided to back down and allow you to bask in all your perceived glory
gan
ps... maybe ngiak shall come back to you in 15 years when you fully comprehend the current rhetoric

Macheda, welbeck, diouf and owen are not good enough to play for Utd. We would be better off selling all 4 and bringing in 1 quality striker to go with Rooney, Berba and Hernandez.

@ Redfaith.

Sorry but your post on rumours contained some nonsense.

1. Most players were average last year as is the case after a WC summer prob explains the sub standard of the EPL in general But Sneijder only started 22 games in the league last year so that's only 58% of the games not much chance there to set the league alight. Still scored 4 and 5 assists.

2. Are you going to be another 'Sydney!' and say he cant play in CM? Well as I have said to him as well he played there all his Ajax days. Real bought him after they failed to get Ballack so clearly bought him for CM. He started there but was pushed to the wings now and then when needed but still played well. He has only played CAM consistently since going to Inter as Jose seen the best way for Inter was the 2 holding and 1 CAM.

3. Sneijder wasn't good at Madrid? He had a better season personally for Madrid in his first year than his treble winning year. 27 starts 9 goals 6 assists not bad for a CM / LW who is playing for the first time in a different league compared to 24 starts 4 goals 6 assists for Inter. (league stats only). Second season in Madrid was disrupted with a big injury preseason and didn't get back playing till end of Sept. So because of that he looked as though he didn't contribute as much (18 league apps) hence his name being used as the makeweight in the Ronnie deal.

4. Comparison with Veron is way off. Yes they would both be coming from the same league but that's it. Sneijder is way more mobile, has played all round Europe, is used to faster playing leagues and isn't utilised as a static link man as lazio were with Veron (prob why his adapting t our pacey league failed).

I'm not saying that we must get him ahead of say Nasri or Mods but like the guy said I'm sick of people slating him for being 'old', cant play where we need him or cant play in our league when he is a world class player and we should be happy if we end up getting him.

--------------De Gea-------------

Rafael-----Vidic-----Rio------Evra

--------------Fletcher-----------

Nani-----------------------Young

-------------Sneijder------------

-----Rooney---------Chicharito--

This should be our starting X1 next year against the top teams.

--------------De Gea-------------

Rafael-----Vidic-----Rio------Evra

Nani---Sneijder---Anderson---Young

-----Rooney---------Chicharito----

Our team against weaker teams? Berbatov to rotate with chicarito, valencia to rotate with nani, jones/smalling to rotate with rio and vidic, fletcher, carrick, pogba etc can come in at cm, if we sign sneijder we will have unbelievable strength in depth. What you reckon Ed?

this goetze v sneijders doing my head in

goetze

Dortmund
46 app 8 assists 11 goals 6 caps for germany

Sneijder

Ajax
181app 58goals
Madrid
66app 9 assists 11 goals
Inter Milan
79app 15assists 19goals

Holland 76caps 21goals

By the time he was goetze age he had already scored 15goals in 52 appearances for ajax and had 17caps for holland and 5 goals

Individually he was awarded the 2010 Bronze Boot, the 2010 Silver Ball and included in the team of the tournament for UEFA Euro 2008 and the 2010 FIFA World Cup as well as named man of the match for six out of eleven games played by Holland at these two tournaments.

Now can someone explain to me how goetze is better than sneijder, and prolific poster but lack of knowledge Sydney please tell me how goetze is worth 35million yet you wouldnt spend that on sneijder, without the age and sell on value excuse.

Dear gan

unlike yourself I don't look at how fast a player is or what their sell on value is I look at how good the player is and if he could fit in the team, neither do I care about greedy players wanting a wage rise if a player comes in on a big wage, the club will pay the players what they think they should earn if not they sell them on, thats how football works.
So please put your brain into gear before posting, or alternately if you have half a brain do a bit of research about football, and less worrying about what players earn or their (sell on values)."""
dear unnamed sir
ngiak just loves the sight of posters who are unnamed yet spray about bombastic words and phrases
so lets see... where shall ngiak begin
according to you...
"whether a player fits into a team"
well, according to you its not about speed, its not about fitting into the dressing room and its not about "not" creating unrest with the team morale. its also not about the fact that he had an average non descript entire last season, not that he plays in a horrible, corrupted league.
its clearly not about having prove himself in the toughest league in the world like modric or nasri have.(or was a ?"failure"? at real madrid),
and something that ngiak should obviously not mention... cost to the club (and not a small one at that) as clearly according to you, breaking the club's wage structure is also not "fitting in" criteria
ok...
lets see
according to your previous posts he is a "great" player that we must/should buy
wow... ngiak is suddenly so enlightened and educated
thank you dear sir
ngiak shall heed your advice and ...er..whats that again...er....put his "brain into gear" and "get half a brain" and do more research into "who the GREAT players are"...
gan
ps... which website tells ngiak which are the GREAT players that fit our club, please?

Upsetting team morale: considering they can't spend what they earn in a week it probably won't bother them. not too mention if we win more because of him then i'm sure they won't care. I mean who care's about Rooney's wage?"""
dear mr moon
rooney's wages may be almost 2/3 of sneijder's
there seemed to be some grumbling on the part of evra and berbatov and even nani after rooney's contract negotiations were "settled"
then why did rooney ask for a better contract?
with someone earning 5 times what the rest of the players are earning
wont some heads be turned?
you may not have been in any team sport if you did not know what this would do to team morale
and create divisions in the squad
and unrest amoung the senior and better players

i cant believe people on here are complaining about signing sneijder, fair enough if if hes not your first choice, but theres no doubting the guys world class and is one of the elite in his position.
are you saying you wouldn't be happy with this team?

------------De gea/Lindegaard
Twin---Rio/Small---Vidic/Jones--Evra/Twin
---------Carrick/Fletch--------------------
-------------------Sneijder/Ando-----------
Toni/Nani---------------------Young/Park
-------------------Roo/Welbeck----------------
-----------Chica/Berba---------------------

with Evans covering CB, Giggs covering LW & CM Owen covering ST.

also utility players such as Young who covers LW, RW, AM, SS and Jones in CB, DM

and with prospects such as Cleverly, Turncliff, Pobga & Morrison developing you really cant complain, but you cant please everyone.

Sneijder would be a great signing. He isn't too old, for all we know he could be for another ten years and retire at 37. If he accepted the same wages Rooney is on and was willing to come to United, then I think he would be a fantastic signing.

on the Sneijder issue i would love to see us sign him , i think he is a world class player, who has proved it at the top level. I dont think he did that bad at Real and i understand the issue of him playing in a poor italian league but you can only beat the team you are playing and inter beat Barce and won the euro with Sneijder having a lot to do with that. He has also been top quality at international level for a number of years(which is more than you can say about many of the England team) .
I no it will cost a lot but what it comes down to is if fergy thinks his worth the money we should get him , if he thinks his a good player but not worth that much then we should'nt
in fergy we trust

Until Nasri or Sneijder or both seen in a leaked pic for a MU you shouldn't listen 2 the papers. I've already heard that Nasri was imminent to Sh*ty but no proof only that they have alot of money and Sneijder imminent to MU but no proof of any approach for the player. About Sneijder being to old to sign and is past his prime, LOL I'd like you to tell that to Ryan Giggs and Paul Scholes.

i dont know why people are unhappy at the speculation of wesley sneidjer coming. Modric wants the chelsea move nasri will not be sold by arsenal to united and is more strongly linked to city although it is more likely that if he is sold he would go abroad. NOW if we need stability in midfield with a massive reputation and loads of experience that is now probably playing at an age where he will be at his best sneidjer is the only one gerrard and lampard were at there best at that age and carried it into their 30s. whats the point of buying a 21-24 year old with no or little experience but with possible potential? we had that with anderson yes alot of people think it sounds like another veron but look at the tale of the tape sneidjer can speak 5 different languages and has won almost everything in club football and is still only 27 fergie wouldnt chase him if he didnt fit the bill. if he wanted nasri we would of made a concrete bid and he wouldnt be going on tour with arsenal fact For me along with the young and up and coming youngsters and still with scholes coaching thats the player we need.

getting slightly annoyed now, 2 months ago everybody wanted Sneijder but since Sydney mentioned the cost of him in total everyone's comin' out and saying he's over-rated, he's too old, he's a mercenary, etc.

Over-rated: his passing stats and general performances state otherwise.

Too old: he's 27 you'd get atleast 4 years out of him at the level he's at now then he'd probably adapt his style to a more modern day scholes role.

Mercenary: Not really, why would he take a pay cut to join us when he's already at a great club?

Upsetting team morale: considering they can't spend what they earn in a week it probably won't bother them. not too mention if we win more because of him then i'm sure they won't care. I mean who care's about Rooney's wage?

I'm not saying we should get him i'm saying people need too stop bitching and thinkin' they know who would suit playing for us and if that player is Sneijder or Taarabt or whoever else, if Sir Alex signs them then he thinks they're good enough and that's good enough for me...

Buying WS and possibly nasri is good business with giggs retiring soon and FFP rules next year we can't go out and buy loads next year all we need next year will be a striker unless the youths come through like expected

If Sneijder will only join for wages of 250k a week, then f*** him. Who wants a greedy mercenary like him anyway. I would rather pay £35m for Goetze than Sneijder. There is no way Dortmund would turn down £35m for Goetze.

Believable2 Unbelievable1

10 Jul 2011 14:19:13
Sneijder would be a bargain at 35mill, 28 for darren bent, 20 for jordan henderson, 35 for carroll, 50 for torres, I personally don't care how much we spend on a particular player you pay whatever you think they are worth the only people interested in how much you pay is other clubs fans to scrutinize."""
dear unnamed sir
you should try to look beyond bragging rights dear sir
the world is much bigger and meaner than your little superficial pond
what do you think a guy who earns 250k a week affect the senior players who have been here for many years, earning almost half his salary?
how do you think it will affect the minds of the younger (admittedly more greedy) players that someone has broken the wage structure and they can take advantage of that as well?
how will it affect the team, players and manager if he turns out to be an expensive flop
the risk in getting hernanes kagawa nasri etc is just as uncertain
but they are cheaper younger faster more likely to adapt and good sell on value as they are young

Saying he was the best player on the planet is a joke. Everyone seems to think Sneijder will solve our midfield but I feel the money will be better spent on Nasri and Vidal or Kagawa etc. How long would it take for Sneijder to settle in the Prem? How long will he be able to carry on playing past 30? He has been pretty average in an average league last season. We should be bringing players in before they hit their peak not when they have peaked and starting to decline.

REDMOZ"""
dear mr redmoz
well said thats ngiak's point for the last few months
team spirit, by not breaking the wage structure etc
that will cause a lot of probems among youngsters
anyway ngiak has been harping on this point too often.
agreed he has been average in a below average league
he is almost certain to struggle here with a faster pace and a more physical approach. look what happened to his colleague... VDV? wasnt he one of the "REVELATIONS" of the world cup?
anytime, kagawa, hernanes, goetze, nasri would be welcome
certainly proven players like modric (sadly impossible) and parker would be a perfect bridge for the youngsters...

Sneijder isn't my personal choice as I too would rather have Vidal and Nasri/Hernanes for the price of Sneijder/Modric but if Fergie goes down that route then I can certainly see why he has done it and know what Sneijder will bring to the team irrelevant of the price.

dear mr jono
ngiak believes that you are entitled to your opinion
and you give good "back up" to your responses...
you know what? sincerely without sarcasm, for once, it seems that the possibility of getting him is increasing
ngiak hopes you are right
cos if things go wrong, very wrong,
not only our team play, but team spirit will go due to jealousy of his salary.

I'd prefer a deep lying play maker like Bastian Schweinstiger or Daniele De Rossi.

Any one agree?"""
dear unnamed sir
is it a coincidence that only the unnamed posters on this site write "confirm", "100%" certain etc
and disappear when the pendulum swings the other way, ie when there are quotes from the papers that say the player is not coming?
its been swinging back and forth every few days
someone once replied that sneijder is "too old, too slow and too expensive"
its the perfect summary of what ngiak thinks as well
and just to add,
neither schweinsteiger nor de rossi will add anything to our squad either
ngiak rather have the youngsters and our own existing players.
sneijder will break our style of play, he will cause discontent because of his salary and he will take some time getting used to the english style of play, if he gets used to it at all.
none of which ngiak would like to see at man united
