can anyone confirm Bebe's loan out to Besiktas. i have been one of the people to back Bebe to the ground and believe in his raw talent as i definitly think Fergie can mould him into a great winger. i hope he still has this in his plans and the deal does not become permanent. Ed you know anything? {Ed012's Note - Pretty certain its legit but I can confirm no exclusion clause mentioned yet.)

BREAKING NEWS AT OLD TRAFFORD!
reports saying that ryan giggs will retire Before next season due to allegations within his personal life. Apparently it's too much to deal with and he believes it'll take time for him to resolve the issue and therefore he's off

You have got to laugh Ed, Juventus offered us 13m euros for Nani? No wonder SAF told them he wasn't for sale.

Nani has also said that he is happy at United and is unfazed by the speculation that he is leaving in the summer.

But 13m euros? They really do live in a dreamworld Juventus, less than a month ago they said they have put back £12m to bid for Modric?

Ed, if it's only Juventus that are linked to Nani, then there is no chance he will be sold in the summer.

Sydney! {Ed012's Note - I think this one will drag out all summer, if Nani starts the season on the bench I wouldn't be surprised to see a few deadline day bids)

Hi Ed,

Do you think Dimitar Berbatov will stay or go? He only has a year to run and i can't imagine we will let him leave on a free but with Hernandez with Mexico a lot next season do you think he will stay?

Also in your opinion are the de gea, jones and young deals done? And who else realistically do you think we will sign?

Welsh red devil {Ed004's Note - I am not sure if he will leave or not. He is a very good squad player who will score goals, but he is taking a place up in the 25 man squad}

Rainfish, didn't you say a couple of days ago that you'd like to see the club look at South American and Spanish talent rather than English youngsters? I'm afraid the "dodgy Portuguese agents" handle deals for such players.

Anyone know if the sunderland bid 4 the 3 lads is been considered? Hope we see a bit of the young lads next year, cleverly, wellbeck, keane, pogb, tunnicliffe and morrison.

it is true regarding bebe,
this was what i found from a poster on another site , who seems to know his stuff, ...

I am Besiktas&ManU fan who lives in UK and i heard Besiktas loaned Bebe, bad news about Bebe is a foreigner player restriction.
Only 6 foreigners can play (Guti, Q7, H.Almeida, Simao, Manuel Fernandes, Sivok ) 2 players can be at the bench ( Ernst, Ferrari) Probably Bebe and Sidnei will watch Besiktas matches in the stadium but not on the pitch.

not sure what he will gain from the sounds of it

there is still alot of comings and goings at OT before new season kicks in.nasri is 100% coming and the big shock is that its only going to cost £4m with rio as part of the deal as he has had major fall out with SAF having had a bust up wit berba after city game and something wit Gibson at end of season as gibbo complained about always going to rio's restaraunt.nani is also on way out heading to ac milan or madrid for £30m wit sanchez coming in for same amount, goalie kusack going to birmingham for £3m and 3 lads going to sunderland for £15m total, SAF wanted modric but didn't see the nasri deal coming so now is happy wit nasri and will look at modric next yr, johnny evans is on his last chance but has promised to clean up his act which was proven towards end of season.the one deal SAF really wants is de rossi but the stumbling block is they want berba and not kiko and SAF doesn't want to lose berba . expect alot of movement wit the kids wit 8/9 players going and about 6 coming in also few back room staff moving on to make way for new and old faces.one last bit of info is that SAF is furious wit giggs and has told him that is very lucky that he is been let play out his last season, but this might not be over yet ...good friend wit player who is on way out of OT

As much as I would love Ronnie back at OT, the players you mention in the promotionl video are all personally sponsored by adidas. Meanwhile, Ronaldo is personally sponsored by Nike, so that may be why hes not in the video?! Ed what you think?

Bit of a random comment this I know but why does everyone hate Bebe so much? I admit he hasn't been the greatest signing ever and probably not worth what we paid for him. However, the first time I heard we'd signed him last summer was when I read an article slating SAF for buying an unknown player from some unknown Portuguese club without ever watching him play. This isn't the type of start he needed to his MUFC career. For some reason the seemingly majority of fans snapped on him because of this news and so, as we got him instead of Ozil or Schweinsteger last summer, he has been outed from the fans hearts before giving him a real chance, which he hasn't got at all this season.

This is the first time I've posted on here and I must admit that some of these comments are absolute laughable.

However, one question I have is that Barca are supposedly been allocated £40m to spend yet according press reports they've virtually tied up deals for Rossi at £40m, Sanchez at £23m and still chasing Cesc at £30m........ Does this mean we're still in with a chance with Sanchez? Ed who do you think are our realistic remaining targets?? {Ed012's Note - Sanchez would be a steal at £23m, Rossi over-priced at £40m and Fab under priced at £30m. I was under impression they still have Ibrahimovich to sell, think he had an option to buy at £25m then add fringe players etc. United still in running for Sanchez though)

Kaka has literally just posted an addidas promotional video on twitter. The video includes him wearing next seasons kit. Likely to mean he's staying.
The video also had alonso, di maria, ramos, casillas.
Now i'm not claiming he's leaving or that i'm in the know but from a marketing sense who is the number one player at Real... Ronaldo surely!
Conspicious by his lack of presence i'd say...
dreams can come true.. Ronnie coming home?

On another note i'd be shocked in Nasri comes to united. Modric is the target and can come down to final day.

I still believe what I said will happen, I think we will wrap-up three players before we go to the USA, then after people have thought we have finished our spending we will make a last ditch attempt to bring in Modric. I am not convinced by these Nasri rumours, I am just waiting to read on SSN that Nasri has agreed to a new five year deal at Arsenal. 110k a week and the captaincy should do it.

Im an LFC supporter but how sad to read on this site that a Suarez bid has been put in ....... get a grip will you !!!.... I thought you mancs had a bit more class....you are beginning to sound a little desperate now.

I know Ferguson got the shock of his life when you played FCB and the awful truth hit him hard that he has been getting away with daylight robbery for the last couple of seasons, but its all about to end boys.

No more referees in your pocket ( including Webb ), the FA have had enough of Fergies bullying tactics on linesmen and refs ( hence the suspensions he got ) , and be really honest with yourselves........... without the likes of scholes, giggs etc..........theres not much real class there any more.

Rooney and Hernandez are good but Rooneys head is just not in it anymore. Ferdinand is finished, along with Carrick and Berbatov.........Owen was finished before he joined you. You have a MASSIVE rebuilding job to do and Im afraid SAF is gettinga bit too old for all this. You do not have an automatic right to win, and the rest of the teams are now about to overtake you. I think AFC are 2 years away from a real challenge but LFC are about to shatter your dreams. The look on his face when Kenny Dalglish was at OT was so sad.............he just looked so frightened cos his nemesis is back !! Time to go Fergie.........its all about to end boys........the good times have finished.

I predict that Man U will have a disastrous start to the season and by xmas the fans will be calling for fergies head.......go now Alex and stay proud and live your retirement cos youve earned it.

ps this is NOT an LFC rant but my honest assessment of the situation.......its over boys.......Kenny is back !

"If neymar goes to Madrid does that release benzema to us? {Ed007's Note - I'd love either Higuain or Benzema at Utd, preferably the former but I don't know what the chances are}"

On Transfer Deadline day, IMO Higuain or Benzema will be offloaded at a cut price. Real Madrid dont seem to really care about getting good money back on players they're selling.

Robben - 18m
Sneijder - 12m
Van der Vaart - 8m

I agree with 007, Higuain would be a great buy. Especially if Sir Alex could get him for something like 15m.

"I just don't see it. Jones is a good buy and all, but I dont rate Young as being good enough to be a guaranteed starter, which is what we need. And where are the big signings we (and Wayne) were promised? I had real hope coming into the window, but it just appears like we are again scraping the bottom of the barrel. Nasri? Are you serious? I loved playing Arsenal with him bc he doesn't scare me one bit. Why are we thinking taking decent players from non-winning teams is going to improve us one bit? If you take a player from a lesser team, they'd better be the best player on that team. Nasri isn't close. I know I'm the pessimist, and SAF has proven trustworthy. But I'm still waiting for the Ronaldo money to be spent and waiting for another world class player or two to join Rooney. Young, Nasri, etc are not of the level we need to improve the squad. Thanks for letting me vent....KG"

You probably bemoaned the signing of Hernandez as well. World Class is a relative term. Veron and Berba were world class, 30 mill plus signings and look at the general opinion of their combines time at OT.
Football is ateam game and the player has to fit into the way we play. Young will be an exceptional signing, the guy has proven himself on the international stage and will be a big hit at OT. Just look at the number of times Rooney throws his hands up in dissapointment at the way Nani delivers the ball and yet, in the united team, he was the highest assist maker this season just gone. Young will provide us with efficient pace and better yet, he is a much better decision maker than nani. I personally wouldnt want to see nani go, but if he stays, he will be hard pushed to keep young out of the starting 11. Lets face it, Fergie clearly considered nani to be behind park and toni in the latter stages of the season.
Nasri would also be a fantastic signing. He makes very efficient use of the ball, . It isnt his fault that after delivering a great ball the arsenal mentality is to pass it out and in to the edge of the box a further twenty times before their attack dwindles.
If you are a Manchester united fan, you should know that there is just no point questioning anything fergie does.

Ive seen a couple of posts bringing up the subject of Pastore today. Now I dont know who we will sign and wouldnt like to hazard a guess to be honest but if Phil Jones has been signed and will mainly be played in midfield, perhaps, just perhaps that protection infront of the back 4 would give someone the licence to pkay their own game? Someone untested in the PL. Someone who could make the team tick? I cant see it happening as life just isnt that kind, its just one of many possible theories.

I told Sydney a while back that Varane would definitely not come to united to sit on the bench or play in the reserves like Syd had suggested.
This kid wants only to play football and thats what he is going to do he wont join united this season although we might sign him and loan him straight back to france which I hope is what we do.The guy seems to have a good head on his shoulders and is being well advised just hope we wrap up a deal for him and stop Bayern from getting their mits on him.

Good afternoon Guys
If anyone wondered if Fergie was losing his edge and thinking of retirement well think again
Imo 3 master signings in Young, Jones and De Gea.By that I mean their talent and ages .De Gea could potentially play for us for 20 years'
However I think these 3 are great Premiership signings I'm not sure these 3 alone will close the gap to Barcelona maybe Modric/Nasri and Sanchez might.
I have a sneeky feeling for Pastore no evidence just a gut feeling.
What do you think Guys and Ed's

I have been saying this to people for the past 3 seasons. However, this would be what i would do, I genuinely don;t believe Fergie sees it this way. Rooney is fantastic dropping in behind the front striker. Im not sure that he isn;t somewhat wasted in a standard CM role.

has anyone else considered either ribery or robben could be outside bets? (albeit very small chance)

I have a really weird feeling surrounding the Nani to Juventus stories.

It's appearing everywhere lately and most players will come out and squash the rumours straight away, Nani hasn't done this as far as i'm aware.

I don't think we'll sell him but i certainly think we'll listen to offers from other clubs providing they're of a certain level.

sir alex ferguson has pulling off two class signings on the cheap in young who i believe is more consistent than nani and not as greedy and better set piece taker and phil jones who i believe will be the next john terry with smalling as the new ferdinand future england partners at the back now i think we should try and snap up lahm from bayern maybe berbatov and 5 million and for the holding midfielder i would love to see luka modric but i think maybe hernanes from lazio would be a great cheap deal if we couldnt get modric attacking midfield i think nasri would be a snatch for 15 million no matter 25 million !! he is proven in the prem and a goal scorer now sanchez i believe if we do sign him i think he will be played behind the strikers which means we will not need nasri :( so it would be sanchez in behind swapping with young out to left wing every 20 mins or something !

"hi guys, i have been reading this rumour column about manchester united for a couple of weeks now and am confused as to what is actually going on.

Who are we likely to sign? and also who are we likely to get rid of? "

Ins: None are officially done. Though Young, De gea and Jones all seem certainties. Many still believe the final piece to our transfer puzzle will be a high quality central midfielder: the top mentioned candidates are Modric and Sneijder. There is also this continuing talk of a deal being pursued for Nasri.

Outs: Sunderland have bid on Oshea, Brown and Gibson. I expect that this deal will go through.
Other than that it is a guessing game. Many believe Berba will leave, I don't. he will likely run out his contract. Many believe macheda will leave, I think fergie is wary of making the same mistake he made with letting Rossi go. Macheda needs time to prove himself. If we can give it to Bebe and Obertan, we can give it to Macheda.
Other than that i personally wouldnt expect any other major departures, unless Hargreaves does indeed leave.

Hope this helps.

"Can we assume that De Gea and Young are 2 of 3 that Sir Alex wanted to bring in? I dont think we can count Jones as 1 of the 3, as I don't think Sir Alex even knew he'd be buying him this summer.

We can now expect a Scholes replacement. Sneijder's ruled himself out. Harry says Modric isn't going - we'll see. And l fully expect Nasri to stay where he is. So I have no idea who it's going to be. "

You can't rule out the possibility of Modric or sneijder, regardless of what has been said in the press. However, I'm surprised that Van Der Vaart hasn't been more heavily linked to United. When you look at wat is available in this country, he seems to fit the bill.
Like it or not, Charlie Adam is still a distinct possiblity and has the range of passing that Fergie would be looking for.
However, at the end of the day, we do have Anderson, Carrick and Fletcher to play in that role. Unless one of them goes out, there is still a chance that Ferguson will not look to make a major signing in the centre of midfield, what with youth players and returning loanees.
However, at the end of the day, Ferguson ended the season by saying that his choice for player of the season is Modric. You can;t get a much stronger indication that this is the man he wants. Whether he gets him or not is a different matter.

First time poster...
I am very happy with the 99% completion of each of the transfers involving Jones, Young and De Gea. I would be elated to bring Nasri into the team as as we have seen he is a top class footballer, and still only 23. Insofar as Modric has commented on his possible transfer i cannot see this happening, especially if we get Nasri, as Fergie wont have two attacking midfielders, always at LEAST one holding. (which will be either Fletcher or Carrick, the latter of whom had a brilliant second half to the season and i hope we keep him)
So far around £50 million will have been spent, leaving £25-30 million, and with the sale of several peripheral players culminating in £15-20 million, we are well-equipped to buy another player or 2 including Nasri.
And by the way Nani isnt going anywhere, top assists last year in the EPL, not a hope SAF is that silly.

DR7 {Ed012's Note - I wouldn't say Nani is a certainty to stay- he's Portuguese and he's been in Manchester for 4 years... the sun in Spain/ Italy will most definitely be tempting. Brown O'Shea Gibson 12m

Exciting times to be a United fan, Phil Jones has passed his medical & will put pen to paper to finalise his deal with United after the European U21 Championships. Aston Villa have accepted an offer from United in the region of 15 million for Ashley Young, who agreed terms on a 4 year deal worth 80k a week yesterday. He will have a medical in 7-10 days time when he returns from his honeymoon.
United reps held talks with Samir Nasri's people yesterday, talks went well & Nasri wants the move to go ahead, agreeing a fee with Arsenal is the only potential stumbling block.
David De Gea is delaying his move to United as he isn't 100 percent certain he wants to leave Spain, this has raised doubts in Fergies mind & I understand United have now been in contact with Igor Akinfeev. My source does not think we will follow up our interest in Alexis Sanchez, But depending on departures a late move for Luka Modric maybe on the cards. Last but not least, I have also heard that Dimitar Berbatov could be key to any move for Nasri as Arsene would like him as part of the deal to soften the blow of losing one of Arsenals key men.

Many Thanks,

Dont they know the "king" as they like to call him was mad to sign him so he could swing balls in for that ass they spent 35 mill for.Do they all of a sudden think dogleash is not the messiah after all ????
They also now think scott dann is a better player than Phil Jones cause the opta stats says so!!!
Well best of luck to them in their pursuit of Downing Dann Clichy and the other "star" players that they are now turning their attention to seeing as the genius SAF has wiped their eye...yet again !!!

Meaning we'll have 5 first team strikers in our squad for next season(although welbeck doesn't count as 1 of the 25 man squad due to his age.)

I think most of Europe's top clubs would find a way to finance a deal for Sanchez if they could get him to join... Even if we signed Nasri, I can't see Fergie turning down an opportunity to sign Sanchez as well (if it was there). From a Glazernomics point of view, it'd probably be shrewd business too - let's say £30m amoritised on the books at £6m a year for 5 years - worst case is you get to sell him to Madrid or Barca for £50/£60million after 2 or 3 years...

The last 4 windows have come and gone with the usual '' no value in the market '' statement.
We all hoped that statement was a bluff by SAF and he would still make major signings. He didn't but still managed to unearth a couple of gems in Smalling & Hernandez.

mr keightley {Ed007's Note - I think if Nasri only cost £8m it could be the bargain of the century!!! It wouldn't even be classed as a "big money" signing IMO. Plenty of money to chase higher priced targets. FYI what I do with my fingers is between me and the artist formerly known as Miss Moneypenny!}
