Ed. For a bit of clarity, apparently old friend of this page Wesley Sneijder (sorry about the spelling) has not been paid for 3 months by galatasaray. According to fifa rules, His contract could be terminated due to salaries not paid for a 3 month period. This would result in him being available on a free transfer. Now I'm not saying we need him but it is interesting.

{Ed002's Note - No that is not going to happen. It sounds like some web site or paper has been teasing you about this.}

Ok ed yes I've just noticed it's in metro and daily star. Not exactly the gospel but I thought it was worth a mention to our dislecksic fans who historic ally struggle with his shpelling.

Oh the irony

Could we not head to Paris in Jan for pastore or moura?

Believable0 Unbelievable0

{Ed002's Note - Or Madrid for Ronaldo? Or Bristol for Jay Emmanuel-Thomas?}

Nothing new on Ronaldo, Ed?

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed002's Note - No, not that I am aware GAGUS. Perhaps if Messi completes his move to Chelsea MUFC will push?}

If it weren't for the fact that Keano continues to air his grudges against SAF (or at least the media keeps fostering that impression), we would not be having this debate with its silly analogies. We would just accept that Keane was a great United player and Ferguson was a great manager. How boring would that be?

The one thing I've learnt during this divertissement is that Keane is a man of great humility!! I would say wisdom too. For it is a wise man who, having been humbled not by choice but by failure (that promotion season with Sunderland notwithstanding), accepts his circumstances gracefully. One wonders however whether genuine humility is a trait conducive to success.

My advice to Keane - bury the hatchet.

Believable2 Unbelievable3

Im not sure kean has been humbled.
No matter what he does as a manger it will not change the fact he was a great footballer player.
Both fergy and kean had personality issues imo but that's what gave them the drive and made them the player/manager they.

Agree1 Disagree0

No, he displayed humility by choosing to go back to a career he had failed at, and accepting a lesser role, instead of just sitting back and taking the easy option of remaining a pundit. He was making a comfortable living as a pundit, with very little work and zero pressure. Instead, he chose to take up two assistant positions at struggling sides because he wants to become a better manager.

Agree6 Disagree1

Like him or loathe him but Keane is a top bloke albeit a little bitter.
Always a legend in my eyes.

Agree2 Disagree0

My comment was intended to be somewhat to tongue in cheek. I certainly can't criticize him for deciding to work at becoming a better manager - in fact I wish him every success. Still in his own mind he feel his current position is far short of his expectations; especially after such a good start.

I can't wait for the internationals to be done. We have some real testing games coming up, it'll be nice to see how we do against the top teams and see what progress we've made.

Believable5 Unbelievable0

Agree, cannot wait for a return to the PL.

I actually think our season will be defined by our games against Spurs, Liverpool, Arsenal, and Everton . our rivals for 3rd / 4th place.

In some ways I see our games against Chelsea and Citeh as being free hits. We're not expected to win these games this season so pressure is off in some ways. We might need to take a few more knocks against these two teams in the short term but i'm confident we'll be back amongst them soon. And you never know, we may just produce a surprise along the way.

Agree1 Disagree0

Can't wait for it to end but glad it came when it did with a hope of a few players back

Hey guys,
What do you think of Christoph Kramer, i feel he is a very intelligent DM and a very good passer of the ball . He's very similar to Matic + he is young and can play cb. I thinj LVG should go for him in the january transfer window .He isn't the most expensive of players as well, £5m would price him away ! Let me know your thoughts

Believable4 Unbelievable0

I still think we need a specialist cb. Somebody who is a cb not somebody who could play there if needed. Not a bad shout if we get him as well as a cb though

Agree2 Disagree0

Good shout, I would take him over Khedira and I think others will be difficult to get a hold of like Vidal and Strootman.

video clip in the star of little girl from Manchester crying cause her school uniform is blue is brilliant. nice distraction from the keano rubbish and the match tonight vs the factory league team.

{Ed007's Note - A wise man once said:

'Our first session, at Ipswich, was open to the fans. But nobody came. My first day – you’d have thought a couple of school kids would have been dragged in by a dad or grandad. The warmth wasn’t there. Then there was the blue training kit. I don’t like fuckin’ blue. City were blue. Rangers were blue. My biggest rivals were blue.'

Personally with me, apart from denims (jeans) I don't own one piece of blue clothing or anything with blue in it, not even boxers or a pair of trotters! I won't use a blue toothbrush (it has to be green), nowhere in our house is decorated using blue, there's no blue towels or stuff like that either. I wouldn't let my wife have a blue car, I don't buy Yoda anything blue like toys or bedding and if I am going out with the wife she wouldn't even attempt to wear anything blue, I'm the same with my family, my mammy and sis won't wear blue if I am going out with them for a meal or that and my sister and her man know better than put anything blue on my wee niece! Woe betide them!
When Sentanta had the rights to Scottish football if you subscribed on Sly you got CelticTV and RangersTV free, that was me on the phone kicking up merry hell, I wanted them to block RangersTV on my box because I was worried that my wee toddler niece might accidentally turn it over and see Rangers players or supporters and I didn't think she was old enough to have to deal with that kind of trauma, if they can block porn or 18 films why couldn't they block RangersTV? I left Sly and went with Virgin who allowed you to put a paternal block on any channel.}

He's a bit of a nutter, but he was our nutter.
Pure class

Agree1 Disagree0

My son is not allowed to wear blue his room was decorated red before he was born! Good on the lass and the club who sent a tweet out saying they were sending her the 3rd kit and inviting her to a game

Agree0 Disagree0

I have blue toilet paper!

Beast
We've seen you on the xmen. You're all blue

Roy Keane was a great player/captain no doubts. I am finding some comments dissapointing though. He says he can't forgive fergie, the same fergie who signed him from forest taking a risk at the time. The same fergie who made him captain and who stood by him after the infamous saipan incident when a lot of people had washed there hands of him. Some of his comments about Neville and other players have been very disrespectful. For me I was annoyed with keane when he left giggs, scholes and neville out of his United eleven because I think he is trying to get at fergie through United players and I would expect more from Roy. The man was a legend and as a player will always go down as great but as a man he is going to start losing respect of United fans of whom he has also said bad things about. Keano has to remember that as much as he gave to United it works both ways and United did a hell of a lot for him. Respect man utd and all that has been built through Busby, best, Charlton, Ferguson, cantona, giggs and so on.

Believable2 Unbelievable2

A legend has to act like one. Keane has been nothing short of an absolute person since he left. Players who he played with have all been insulted, manager who made him who he is also insulted.
Sorry, but I expect more from my legends!

I've lost a bit of respect for him with some of his comments since leaving. Fair enough he's entitled to his own opinion about certain subjects but doesn't he realise that saying it all publicly isn't going to help anyone and only seems to be tarnishing his image in the eyes of some fans. Seems like he's just doing it for publicity or to make a little more money? If he felt like it needed to be said then surely it would have come out a while ago knowing the type of person he is.

Agree0 Disagree0

Lost respect for Ferguson after his book Keane as a person is nice but should be quiet about United and Schoels hasn't said a good word about us either and Giggs looks lost in the dugout Gary Neville has more fooballing brains and love for United than all of them together

Agree1 Disagree0

Paddy, Scholes is being Scholes, he hasn't been abusive or personal. And as for Giggs, perhaps after his brief spell in charge he realises he has a lot to learn and is happy being assistant to a very experienced manager who will teach him a lot.

Agree about new though! just feels wrong that he isn't involved in a major way.
