Am I the only person that De Gea's bad start may actually be a good thing ?
I only say this is because teams that we are playing are taking shots straight away instead of working a better position.
But saying that before this weekend he has made the most saves so it cant have been that bad of a start this season.

Outstanding again. A fantastic team performance complete with some superb football. It's hard to pick out individuals today as the whole team were great but Rooney has started the season in the form of his life. Really no need to try to nitpick today but once again we show that our squad is brilliant.

What a performance by the lads, what an immense squad we have. Didn't even use Valencia, Fletcher, Fabio, Berbatov or Park. We have Vidic, Rafael & Welbeck out injured. I hope Evra is okay, he played very well today and if he is injured after a performance like that, then that is just cruel. Not too bothered about Evans' knock as I would prefer Smalling at the back. Jones was amazing, Rooney & Hernandez were frightening and De Gea was very good too.
I doubt many will find faults with this performance, I hope people can now believe just how good we are this season. It's not just because of the signings, it's because of the influx of youth and the fact Rooney is back on form. In a sense we have made eight signings this season, Young, Jones, De Gea, Cleverley, Welbeck, Fletcher, Valencia & Rooney. You could even argue a ninth in Anderson.

kevin Davies epitomises all that is wrong with english football. He's made a career out of flying elbows, late tackles and rubbish finishing yet he constantly gets praise from the press and stupid ex pros. I love a trier as much as the next man but his play and attitude is a disgrace, the fact he has an england cap after constant campaigning by the press says it all. The best thing about him is that he has never seriously injured some one!

so according to cosh then all football is about is assembling the best eleven players in the world and sending them out and your unbeatable. Lets take one of your examples the milan side of the late eighties. Managed by a man considered one of the best tacticians in the game ever who took a system and got the best players to fit it. Yes great teams dominate with great players but you have to use them right. I don't think you are getting my point. There's more to the game than just getting all the best players. Look at liverpool when they won the champions league. Not a great team but look at the teams they played and how they beat them. Tactics. Look at madrid for the last decade lots of your great world class players but no system didn't play as a team and no success. Rincewind

tk thats sort of the point i'm making. In two games against them we have tried to play our own style against them. It worked for about all of ten minutes. What i'm getting at and what i think we as a club are trying to do is evolve our own style to counter theirs. As herbie says the youth is an important part of that. Rincewind
