Your guessing that if we spend 70mill on one player that we won't have enough, no one knows how much we have to spent so surely it's not "rocket science" to stop worrying about the funds an just worry about get the best players an let the manager an the club to worry about the funds an if they can afford it.

Not really. Anyone with a basic level understanding of football knows that no club has infinite transfer and wage funds, so they have to prioritise.

And it's not the manager who decides how much a club spends.

The Glazers have never spent more than 150 million in a single window so that's a rough guideline. We've spent around 60-70 so far. So unless there's any sales to add to that we're looking at 80-90 million. Blowing most of that on a centre back. when we need a left back and a right forward won't leave a lot.

We do not know how the finances of MU work so let’s not say one figure or another for x, y and z and just let the club do it’s business. Matters not the figures we hear as it’ll most likely be inaccurate and we won’t know how and when we will be paying the transfer fees.

I’d expect Blind, Darmian and one of Jones, Smalling or Rojo to be sold and Fellaini off the books leaves wages and some transfer revenue to spend.

Agreed Eric. Also, i can't see martial here next year and if united sell him for less than £80m, then they need their heads testing.

I agree AAA. Although can’t see him leaving unless somebody pays big time for him. Seems there is it not enough room for him and Rashford and in that case I’d choose Rash.

Scholes_18_18, I don't get why people are worried about money, the club has plenty of it, we as fans want our club to win every trophy they can an now days if that's what u want u have to pay the big bucks to get the top players it's as simple as that! hate to say it but just look at city they spent a fortune BUT they spent it on the right players an they won the league with ease! stop worrying about the money an let's hope we get the top players and win the premier league again!

People are concerned about money because the club is a business intended to reap optimum profits for the owners. We do not have infinite transfer funds and, as such, overspending on a player will likely have an impact on our ability to sign others. So, if we splash £70 million on a cb, this could reduce the funds we have available to sign a lb. And that’s before wage budget is taken into consideration. It’s not rocket science.

People are concerned about money given the ever increasing prices players go for, the fact we're self reliant rather than relying on oil billionaires, and the amount of money we've burned through in the last 5-6 years on players who have disappointed, not been up to it, mentally weak or just not good enough. No problem with paying for quality if its a good deal. But given how mishit we've been understandably people are a little cautious.

It's not our money who cares . Couldn't care how much they spend on any player as long as they get the players when they are available. 😆😆.

More players with the humility of the likes of TAA and jessie lingard would be a good thing Ed. TAA seems really grounded and i hope it doesn't change i suspect it won't looks the real deal to me.
Others should watch and learn his talent appears to be equalled and even bettered by his attitude. I think rashford is another of that type.

{Ed001's Note - Rashford does seem very level-headed too. It is keeping their feet on the ground that can often be a problem.}

For the most part, this generation do seem different to previous ones, long may it continue.

Looks like monchi is already working his magic at Roma. Unger and ante coric will both have excellent careers. Gutted we did not get monchi last year as DoF. That would have been a proper step in building a strong future for the club.

By all account javier ribalta is a strong addition to the scouting set up.

Did you forget about Shaqiri Ed001? Easily deserves to be No.1 in that list, well according to himself anyway, probably thinks Messi isn't on his level either😅.

{Ed001's Note - funnily enough no. He just missed out by about 85000 places.}
