Remember yesterday when Bozo claimed that United represented the worst excesses of capitalism in english football?

Well it appears that good old Liverpool, the people's champion, have decided to attack one of the few egalitarian aspects left in the english game, shared tv revenues. Lets be honest any move toward the Spanish model will ruin the minimal competitiveness the PL still has. Downright selfishness that will erode the quality of the league for everyone.

i thought it was fairly obvious that the big clubs pushed for the new rules. The old g14 or whatever. But i am interested to know what else city could do to raise money. They've done shirt and stadium. What else is there? What are they building in their complex that would earn them money? Stadium expansion? Most of the time they don't sell out. {Ed001's Note - have you not seen the massive regeneration surrounding the ground? Then there are worldwide soccer schools, partnerships with other sports clubs, I believe there is consideration being given to a Man City team competing in other sports, as Barca do with their basketball team etc. There are shopping centres, hotel complexes, training complexes (with areas for the general public to use and pay for the privilege) etc etc. They will exploit every avenue they can find to bring in money and they have as much as necessary to invest to bring it all to fruition.}

If Liverpool are continuing to improve there squad, I like to know which of their signings this summer have had a decent game, pretty sure I can't remember a single game. {Ed001's Note - Downing has played well and Enrique has, to be fair, despite my not rating him at all, been superb every single game.}

Good news lads, both Vidic, Fletcher & Evra are playing for their countries so will start against Liverpool. Both Hernandez & Valencia are playing in friendlies tonight so will more than likely only play 45 minutes each.

I just remembered something that will make you laugh.

I seen on the Liverpool page some muppet claiming that in a few years Carroll will be as good as Shearer,Charlie Adam is almost as good as Alonso and Henderson will be as good as Gerard.

I'm not sure if he is just a typical deluded Liverpool fan or plain stupid.

I cant belive the LFC fans are bragging about the up and coming fixture. Their special weapon of Charlie Adam is quite frankly pump. Gibson would out play him.

hope all you utd fans coming to the game on sat, bring some hankies with you , and no ,not to throw on the pitch for nani , but after you get beat you will know you are just not strong enough squad wise to prevent city winning the title , last season will be your last prem title for quite a while , and that as a great man once said is fact..........lfc

So I've seen a couple of (albeit not fantastic) sources saying Lyon need to to sell to balance the books, and was just wondering what people thought of Yoann Gourcuff? I mean, maybe not necessarily for United, but just in general. I've only ever seen him play a few times but apparently he pulled all the strings while at Bordeoux and was the reason Chamakh scored so many goals (while now he seems a shell of his former self). He's been linked with Arsenal a lot lately aswell.

Just curious. Cheers.

____________De Gea

Small____Ferdy____Vidic____Jones

______Fletcher____Anderson

L.Nani_______Rooney_______Young

___________Hernandez

I wonder if there is a chance of seeing Jones at LB if Evra & Fabio are both injured? He must be a better option than Evans even if he is right footed? Will Cleverley go straight in after his injury? He will be fully fit, but is this the type of game to chuck him into? Perhaps a place on the bench is more likely? Or do people believe we will put three in midfield, with Rooney playing upfront instead of Hernandez?

Opinions lads?
