Thanks ed

Agree0 Disagree0

I'll bet 90% would prefer Adnan to stay.

Agree0 Disagree0

How about Rooney or Kagawa then? Januzaj is going to be amazing and being home grown of course he'll get most of the vote.

Agree0 Disagree0

I'd prefer Both to stay if i'm Honest. Sween current results would be say other wise

Agree0 Disagree0

Jrobbm - 84% is pretty close to 90% mate. Give me the 6% haha.

Agree0 Disagree0

Oh ok Sween I guess I can stretch that far XD lol

Agree0 Disagree0

It's horrible knowing how good Kagawa can be and how he's struggling to demonstrate it at the moment. If he goes to any other club he'll look amazing and everyone would be saying how they'd want him back. I don't want either Adnan or Shinji to leave. How about maybe Anderson, Valencia and Young to start with?

So Can United Learn anything from the united formation last night? It would accommodate the use of RVP and Rooney Pretty well in my opinion. But I'd like to know what others think about it.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Wow Stupid Me. I ment to say the England Formation.

Obviously England were not up against a TOP TOP side. but Something has to give. 4 4 2 Is just not a winning Formula

Agree0 Disagree0

Jrobbm - We looked much better the second half, but that was only down to us scoring early on. We still didn't create much at all until some brilliance from Townsend. I hate to say it, but if that first goal didn't go in I think it had 0-0 written all over it.

But Lampard & Gerrard holding is far too much and it would be for Utd. I agree that having the pace on the wing is vital and having two mobile strikers, (one in the hole) worked well. Baines & Walker didn't get up too much, I'd prefer our full backs to get forward more.

Definite improvement though, it will be interesting to see where Moyes goes with our formation but that will have a lot to do with who we can get/afford in the transfer windows.

I'm guessing you missed the other half a dozen teams he said he wouldn't mind joining, you know Barca, Madrid, Chelsea, Arsenal etc.

Pointless letting the truth get in the way of a good story though hey anon.

Agree0 Disagree0

Bayern, Barca, Madrid, Arsenal, Manchester United, Chelsea.

Spot the small club.

Agree0 Disagree0

I know its not been a great start to you're season Gagus but UTD are still a big club

Agree0 Disagree0

We could be relegated to League 2 and we'd still be the biggest club in England.

Agree0 Disagree0

Touché Gunner62, that type of banter deserves a trophy. First you'll have won for a while eh?

(No, champs league spot does not count ;)

Agree0 Disagree0

He wants a move to a-:)a giant club, guess we can rule chelsea out then marcellus {Ed002's Note - I would not be so quick to do that.}

Agree0 Disagree0

Any attacking midfielder thinking about going to Chelsea needs to have their head examined! Especially a young one who wants guaranteed games, if he goes there then he is just money hungry and we would be better off without him.

Agree0 Disagree0

With Hazard, Oscar and Mata. Moses who Chelski had to ship away so he could play, Schurrle, Marin out on loan? De Bruyne. I'd find it hard to believe he'd be tempted by Chleski unless he's after the money.

Arsenal have spent about 3 years worth of transfer money on one player so I doubt they'll compete for his signature.

I see him moving to Barca as a long term replacement for Iniesta seeing as Thiago's gone and Fabregas will slowly take Xavi's place in the team.

Fair play dodgy B
Good spirited banter is what makes Britain brilliant.

If Wayne Rooney doesn't sign a new contract between now and the summer and he tries to force his way out of the club next summer with just a year left on his contract, what would you want to happen?

Personally if he really doesn't want to be here anymore then i'd hope Chelsea were still interested. I wouldn't want their money just Romelu Lukaku in a straight swap.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Personally I think he will sign before xmas.
Like lukaku but I wouldn't swap him for Rooney because if we had rvp/lukaku we really will be playing 4-4-2

Agree0 Disagree0

I think we should cut our losses in January Shappy, we will get an extra £10mil for him then and we can give Hernandez a decent go (going from our thoughts yesterday). If Hernandez improves with games then we don't need to worry about buying a new Striker in the summer and we have more cash to splash on other more pressing areas. It will also lead to Kagawa getting more game time.

Agree0 Disagree0

I don't think Hernandez has got a good enough all round game for a team like united always looks better coming off the bench when united are chasing a game and just aattacking. Good player but unfortunately I think he will leave in the summer

Agree0 Disagree0

I agree Jred, but I'm prepared to give him a chance. I think he has lost the sharpness and it probably won't come back and as a pivotal striker he won't be good enough, but if we play with pacey wingers and a playmaker/RVP behind (if he gets his yard back), he could be a goal machine.

So many options available to Moyes over the next 12 months, it's a dream position to be in if funds are released and he buys quickly as players are coming to their natural end and we have a young core that needs games.

Agree0 Disagree0

If Rooney still wanted to leave, then obviously play Kagawa in his best position. No point playing Hernandez because he's a great finisher no doubt but with the quality we have on the wings and in our midfield at the moment he wouldn't be as effective. Personally I think he'll stay. He says he does his talking on pitch with the way he plays and so far this season no one has looked more desperate to win games in a United shirt than Rooney.

Agree0 Disagree0

Rooney will not be here next year expect to see many changes in the next 12 months that should tell us about the manager and owners intentions.

Agree0 Disagree0

I agree with you Ozwald. i) there isn't an offer for Rooney ii) we don't want to sell it to Chesea unless it's a Mata swap, but becoming very unlikely now. (maybe if Real fails to get Suarez, (which I think they will fail), and sell Benzema, maybe they will bid for Rooney.)
Also, altho chica is one of my favourite player, I think it's time we let him go next summer if we weren't after top wingers. His talent is so wasteful these days. I think Moyes will prefer to play failbeck over chica.

@Sydney!

The Ozil news that is coming out is not new. As reported we were offered Ozil IN MID AUGUST and turned down the chance to sign him. Where would we have played him when we have Rooney, Kagawa for the exact same position? It made no sense to spend that much on a player we didn't need. Having to accommodate him may well have meant playing Rooney out of position which seems is what he was not too pleased about last season.

Also imo, if we had signed Ozil it would have severely limited the gametime Adnan Januzaj would have got if we had decided to play Ozil out on the wing. What is the point of buying someone upwards of 40mil and then playing them out of position? And in hindsight we will look at this as a correct move by Moyes.

Ozil would have made sense had we sold Rooney. Signing Ozil would have added another player to a position in which we already have 3 players. Also the type of midfielder he is, he would not have addressed the core problem of our midfield and our midfield problems would have persisted. We need someone who can dictate the pace of the game and connect Carrick to the attack of Rooney and RVP, all the while also being a good ball winner. Fabregas/Herrera/Khedira would have been perfect for this role, which is what Moyes went for.

Moyes is trying to address the core issues of the team imo, all the rumors coming out of Young and Valencia leaving, Rio retiring to be replaced by a center back, the likes of Herrera/ Coentrao being looked at, will address the real issues with our team.

Fact remains that had the equalizer got the Fabregas/Herrera and Baines/Coentrao deals done for Moyes we would look a much better and balanced outfit than we would have with Ozil.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Whilst I kinda agree with this post we are Manchester United and should always buy players like ozil if and when they are available, how many of these types of players do barca, chelsea, bayern, Madrid and city have? Loads is the answer and we should have signed him and also the 2 others we require ( that you mentioned)

Roonbest but where would you have played him. It only makes sense if Rooney had gone smand we didn't have the offers.
