if he wants to learn to speak "proper" be able to communicate with more than his own tribe, then off his own back. im not going to tell him.

curse my teachers for giving me this pretentious tripe of a langauge anyway. bores the hell out of me.

anyway wateva.

I AM KLOOT SAF didn't choose to get rid of Tevez... He chose to leave after we finally managed to muster up a half hearted and 11th hour bid to keep him!

Ed7 come on whats up with you? the guys obviously just talking lingo of whatever situation he's in. it was a reasonable post with a couple of neanderthal replies.

whatever issues we had with tevez it was over haggling of price. not his attitude except from a few grumblings to play. we rejected him when he wanted to play for this club had mates at the club and mac just simply said he is a top quality player and condesending idiots come up with the same bandwagon crap.

its really convienant to say it was the clubs decision to pass becuase of fortelling "problems"

haggling over price and in his immaturity tevez took it personally or is someone going to tell me proof he was already trouble?

..constantine.. {Ed007's Note - It is complete laziness to type in text speak, I did consider just deleting. There is a difference between poor spelling and lazy spelling. People need to be able to understand posts without trying to decipher anyone's local lingo.}

There are defining moments that decide titles

The first was last summer when we bought Young but not a midfield player or striker
The second may be the decision to rest Scholes altogether on Wednesday and play Giggs centrally

City have done what we failed to do in games especially QPR and that is make goal difference an extra point in their favour. I felt if they won at Norwich their tails will be up and we will need to win our next two home games. Everton could be decisive in the title race especially as they have the ability to frustrate us. Villa also suddenly becomes a much harder game psychologically. The momentum has turned on one poor decision on Wednesday and that really could cost us the title. It is not being negative but realistic given the strengths and weaknesses in our team. SAF has performed miracles this season but he now needs to do it all again starting tomorrow where we will also have to overcome our own nervous crowd

It seems that the police have now come to the same conclusion that I have been going on about since it happened. What did i say about off shore bank account and certain agents that the club will only use. No wonder there is never any criticism of the Glazers. I AM KLOOT

Another example of why Moyes will not succeed Sir Alex. After the equaliser, he did nothing. There was no fight or character or forward thinking. Jelavic needed support but got none. Everton were never going to win at 1-1. I thought Moyes' approach to the second half was cowardly, as was his team selection a few weeks ago against Liverpool.

I'm sorry, but i missed the point where Gaitan had officially signed for Manchester United! Oh wait, i seem to remember a Portuguese tabloid said so, it must be true then! They also mentioned Mendes in it to add to the believability factor didn't they!

Its funny that the Gaitan rumor with no quotes got so much attention, yet the quotes from Rene Meulensteen went practically unnoticed and almost rubbished as "smokescreens" (do they even exist in football these days?)

Gaitan is a technically gifted player, with a consistent left foot and a good cross, end of. Very much like Valencia when he joined but with no Premier League experience. He would definitely be a better option for me than someone like Bale.

Onto the outgoings, i think Anderson should be sold now, we have given him enough time, and for whatever reason you would like to believe, he hasn't delivered consistently and is regular at the treatment table. A squad place is more deserved for Ryan Tunnicliffe or Petrucci instead of him imo.

Berba, Anderson, Park could all be sold for a combined 15 or so mil.

Its obvious that we are lacking a left footed player at the moment, and Giggs certainly ain't the answer. We also need a striker. RVP would be really interesting in the summer imo. He still is stalling on the deal at Arsenal, people believe he will sign up for them, i beg to differ. When was the last time there was a similar situation at Arsenal? Nasri anyone? How did that turn out? I think we could get him for 20+mil, but it all depends on if Man City will also want him and what happens with their striker situation.

Hazard looks really interesting when he plays behind the striker, rather than out on the wings. Also we know SAF was definitely in for Nasri in the summer, so Hazard being a similar type of player will definitely fit the bill as a potential target. He is a real talent but does have an attitude problem, talking too much about other teams, walking out on training and refusing to play in certain games have been a few issues Lille have had to deal with, which is never a good sign.

@ Red Man

You make an interesting suggestion about keeping Pogba, Tunnicliffe and Petrucci and giving them a real chance in the summer and strengthening other positions instead of CM, that could well happen imo, especially if Nani is sold, but is SAF in the mood to take risks these days? Its a maybe for me.

RVP, Hazard, Gaitan and a left back coming in with Berba, Anderson, Nani, Park going out isn't beyond imagination is it? For those obsessed with Net spends and money (sorry Ed002 but i have to quote meaningless figures) it wouldn't be more than 40-50mil net spent.

Finally, do those suggesting Martinez actually realize that Bilbao do not want to sell and its not about the money that will be offered? Real Madrid couldn't get Llorente from them, they are incredibly stubborn. He is a top player no doubt, but he isn't available. If anyone is going out of Bilbao its going to be Muniain.

come on guys be smart. jono did you even watch pre season? if anderson didnt have the injuries hed be an important player for us. never once heard murmerings of not applying himself in training.

think about it. kleberson djemba djemba, miller any of them last? no. think the managers gone soft? I dont.

when played more advanced his link up play is excellent and has scored goals especially in an axis of young nani cleverly anderson rooney.

I dont think its a case of trying to convert to box to box more the loss of hargreaves brought him back on the field possible also to replace the scholes of late but he is most effective as a forward attacking mid which before us he was. its us that have taken the best out of him through necessity.

I dont buy this theory that if your quality you can play with anyone, parnerships are formed all over the pitch as neville complimented becks keane to scholes, if anderson plays best next to cleverly then so be it. its a found formula. but he really isnt that bad with carrick.

personally I think we should be playing 433 to get the best out of giggs carrick and anderson with cleverly and hopefully a top signing to swap with.

the only issue i have is his injury record not his quality. he fits perfectly into the fast interchanging we are working towards and got a glimpse of in the preseason start of season.

apologoes for not replying on thread, reply to still tempramental. eds changed phone, symbiam to android still not working. hard to get involved with banter. hate to moan but kinda makes me look like self serving poster. anyone else got that problem?

The thing is if we have a budget (as we no doubt will have a top limit of some sort) of say an optimistic £50m topped up with any outgoings to maybe £65m (Berba, Diouf, Norwood, etc) we could be spending potentially almost half that on Gatian, another winger!

How many times this season or in recent times have the wingers been that much of a problem area that in 2 summers we feel the need to spent £40m on Young and Gatian? None!

The problem area is as clear as day in CM. Not CAM, not LW, not RW but in the heart of the team and taking Clevs introduction out of it Ando was the last player bought for this area.

If we have say £65m to spend I would rather we bought 2 top drawer CM'ers and stick with what we have for the other areas till next year.

If the Gatian rumour is true I can only see it as being part of a move that will see Nani out of the club and a possible overall profit of £5m.

Gatian in: £20m+players
Nani out: £30m

If that doesn't happen I see no NEED in signing Gatian at this current time.

After watching the FAYC yesterday, I was very disappointed by most in the second half. Barmby is getting bigged up as the next big thing, but was terrible. He was so selfish it was unbelievable, and don't even get me started on Van Velzen. Iannou and Daehli were the stand outs for me. Iannou was rock and Daehli just does not give away possession, I can't wait to watch them next year. Joe Rothewell had a good game, as did Pearson, Byrne and McCulogh (spelling). Strangely enough, Blackett had a bad game yet he's usually our best player.

I really hope that we make some good signings in the summer, but one thing I would like to see is Anderson playing as an attacking midfielder. I think that he has the drive and the skill to play behind Rooney. Play Cleverly and Carrick behind him.

Anderson is a good player, when he comes on we seem to have more drive and energy in midfield when he is playing so personally I hope to see him come through.

A left footed attacking midfielder like Gaitan would be good as would Martinez, Cissokho and maybe a young striker like Wolfswinkel.

Do clubs pay the wages to players when they are on national duty and are missing for the club.. for example, Yaya Toure was missing for 4 weeks in Jan for African Nations Cup.. Would Man City have paid him for those weeks.. Thanks {Ed002's Note - Yes, but if they have a long term injury picked up on national duty the insurance will pay - depending on how well covered that national side are. African and South American sides often hold minimal cover.}

Dear Ed's
Two things really i would like you to contribute to.

1. Which, if any, players are likely to sign in summer 2012 for Man Utd? Any idea when we will know?

2. Any truth to the Hazard s**t or is it smokescreen or just rumour?

Piazon isn't a cut above the rest, he is older than the rest. Of course Chelsea looked bigger than our boys, nearly all of them played for the U18s last season. Pearson matched up to Piazon well and he is two years younger. One or two years makes a massive difference in size and strength at that age.-MB-

good effort by the young lads lastnight, we were desperately missing 2 forwards, didnt have much up front at all but the 2 players who stood out for me were pearson and especially the young centre back Ioannou,he reminded me of a young vidic,i see on the website hes not listed in the academy,is he on trial or non contract terms?
