Had a peep at the scouse page - they really are obsessed with Utd - it would seem that Utd are really poor losing to 7th placed la liga side - I guess the scousers would feel at home in the Fiat conference whilst competing for the seńor Jose paint trophy

Not only were we outclassed against Bilbao both home and away, but how many chances did they have? It could have been very embarrassing!

They were superb, and the EPL is poor in comparison with La Liga.

Upmost respect to their supporters. Applauding Giggs when he came off, and saluting Rooney's goal was absolute class.

You won't believe this, but Liverpool supporters were like this once.

Just like to say well done to bilbao on tonights performance no complaints you deserved to go through and i only hope we get back to playing with the same attitude, flair and tempo as you showed over both legs we have played much to slow at times this season and never look good we allways play much better with a hightempo as was slightly in evidence once pogba, smalling and welbeck came on so at least thats something and no injurys so thats good for the run in on a different subject good luck and best wishes to eric abidal hope your op goes well

I wasnt suprised we lost game tonight. Both legs tells its own story in the gulf of technical, and tactical abilities between the two teams. Fergie is not oblivious to the weaknesses of his squad but unfortunately we will be seeing more of these performances. The money is not there.

fergie and the coaching staff need to focus on improving the technique of players, movement off the ball and passing on the ground. We also need to work on pressing the opposition constantly. These are the core ingredients which the bilbao players had and we didnt.

Okay so we are out of the Europa League, a blessing in disguise IMO. Possibly playing 50% more games than City until May would have damaged our title hopes. There is not much good that has come from tonight, but I guess Rio & Carrick coming off early means they can start on Sunday. Welbeck only played twenty minutes so should also start against Wolves. Smalling, Cleverley & Pogba got a much needed run out. Valencia has had a good lengthy recovery and should return for Sunday, we have been missing him something rotten. Scholes & Hernandez got a rest so will feature on Sunday. Fingers crossed Rafael & Rooney's ankles are fine and hopefully Nani & Jones can return. I see Smalling playing RB on Sunday with Rio & Evans at CB, Evra at LB :( .Carrick & Scholes to make up the central midfield with Pogba & Cleverley on the bench as direct replacements. Valencia & Young on the wings and hopefully Rooney and Welbeck upfront. Would like to see Pogba get a start on Sunday, but probably be thirty minutes depending on how the game is going.

Many here says that Euro Cup is not a priority, this is y SAF uses a 2nd, poor and an average team every game, so I'm wondering which competition is our priority?

UCL- 2W-1L-3D Priority or not?
Euro Cup. 1W-3L ?
Carling Cup ?
FA Cup ?

Stupid excuses for the team that losses the game...
Lets assume, we're not stronger enough to compete for any European competition right now

Fair play to Bilbao on what is a far better result for them than it would have been for us. They put a hell of a lot of effort in and deserved the win. I'd imagine a whole lot more effort than they put in at the weekend, didn't they get beat 2-0 by Osasuna or something? (correct me if I'm wrong I could be way off). And I'm sure come Sunday we will show a hell of a lot more effort aswell, which says a lot. Losing isn't nice and especially in that manner, but I'm trying to be optimistic and look at the bigger picture... Embarrassing stuff at times though.

On a side note, good to see Pogba rack up another 30mins to his tally.

Oh and someone tell Evra to get forward a bit more! He seems far too pre-occupied with being a role model captain to make any forward runs...

And no it's not the lowest form of wit.

Try again eh Ed?

Liverpool supporter here in peace.

I've never posted on 'your' site before, but can see the similarities in regards to the moaners...Geeez, I really think the Chelsea and Citeh money has deluded fans into thinking that instant success is a given.

For one, you are seriously missing Vidic and your midfield is so one dimensional.  The likes of Giggs & Scholes can't carry you any more.  Anderson, Carrick, Cleverley(will come good) and Park are simply not good enough when put under pressure.

To conclude, all I can say is well done on being top of the league - magnificent achievement considering how basic your team is without:

Vidic, MJ, Valencia and Roooney.

Ed, please post in banter.

Does anybody else think Wayne Rooney is our weakest link ATM? Always giving the ball away, lost his trickery and skill, always dropping too deep to get the ball so when he does get it he can't pass to anyone because he is the striker! Like the commentator said tonight, "do you want WR to be putting those balls in the box or do you want him on the end of them?". I know which I'd prefer.

Yes he's got a decent shot on him, but what's the point if he's not in the right positions?

He was made to look like an ordinary player today, with all the skill and trickery coming from the Athletic players. With the amount of money he gets paid I'd expect him to be the best in the pitch in a game like this.

He's supposed to be our Messi or Ronaldo but he's nowhere near as good.

IMO I'd take £50m for him this summer and spend it on proper class, not all hype and no class.

I really don't get all the negativity on here after that tonight. Can people not read between the lines. Big clubs (and city) view the Europa as a joke. Neither fergie nor Mancini want the distraction, we don't need it and tbh there is no incentive to win it.
Ok we got beaten and athletic were class. I do think fergie underestimated them, in that we got lucky it was respectable, we could/should have been thumped.
Does tonight indicate anything about our prospects in the league or going forward next season? No, anymore than it does about city. Do we still need a couple of players in the summer? Yes but this talk of needing a huge overhaul is frankly b****cks. The only thing tonight highlighted is that pogba should be signed up asap

Outplayed over both games to a side in Spain who are not at the very top table. Bilbao totally deserved their win. It is easy to say insert names were not good enough, however sometimes you sit back and see a much much bigger problem, a team problem.

A lot of people on here have said add two players and everything will be ok but having watched the two games against Bilbao as well as the other games we have made a mess of, I think it is far more than that now. No doubt SAF will say the players must wake up , learn, do this or that better but the players as a collective are not good enough. No subliminal messages will make a difference if the quality is not there and it isnt. SAF can try and hide this but the team as a unit are poor when it comes to playing against quick pacy incisive teams. What I saw tonight was a team , our team, that didnt know what it was doing. There was no pattern or plan, no pace in the middle, no quick passing but a very poor, try not to lose the ball, plan. No width or idea of how to use width, the midfield apparently afraid to pass the ball forward as it will come straight back, players not supporting each other. On Sunday we spent much of the first half too deep with too much space between defence and forwards before changing it, so what is the plan? It seems we just dont know.

That lack of pattern , a plan of how we are to play is down to the Manager or certainly him and the Assistant Manager. There seemed to be no thought in how we were going to break them down , control the play. We were disjointed and are a team lacking stars, lacking someone other than Rooney who can make a difference. If Rooney doesnt do it there is nothing from midfield creating or threatening. The one bright point was a cameo from Pogba, lot for him to do yet though.

It is not just players but our whole ethos and style that is wrong and it needs more than spending to put it right. If you watch the youth and the reserves we do play the same way so it is a change that needs to be driven across the board if it is going to translate into the first team. Maybe we are getting away with it in the league, maybe teams still fear us or our slowly slowly pass back style just about gets us through but not in Europe at any level.

Did it really come as any great surprise to any of you. i have been saying for years that if the Glazers did not invest in world class players this would happen but their defenders like Gan and Moon and Sydney come here and try and shoot me down. Fergie came out last week after the game and said we would win and not one person in the press said to him "Are you taking the piss?" Technically they were in a different world to us and tactically they were far better than us as they pressed the game whilst we always sit back and look to pass backwards. The one good thing is that it will give a reality check to all those posters on here who were claiming that Cleverley was the next great thing well after tonights showing he has a little potential but a long journey to reach it and shouldn't even be mentioned in the same sentence as Paul Scholes. lets hope we take our medicine and go on an unbeaten run in the league. Then everyone will say everything is ok and nothing really to worry about. Fergie will say we only need one player to make a side that will challenge in Europe and we will all want to believe him but secretly it will make us all sad to know that he takes his money from the Glazers and does what he is told and says what he is told. He must have been so glad that Keane wasn't commentating on tonights game as he would have had some things to say about the attitude of some of those players which was frankly disgusting and shameful. To think he gives one of them the Captains armband shows a lack of judgement. And for god sake Liverpool supporters have some pride can't you see we are so bored with your incessant obsession with our club. Just go away. I AM KLOOT {Ed024's Note -

Im pretty sure before the match, most posters on here said we should be concentrating on the epl and forget about the europa league.
Well fergy didnt play a strong team, our tempo was too slow and it looked like we werent even trying. I didnt see a player sprinting the whole match. It looked like the players are not interested and the manager isnt either. Well in my opinion this was the right thing to do: an injury to a key player would destroy our hopes of a number 20 this season.
I cant help but imagine what would the posters reaction if rooney or carrick were injured today playing the hightempo game : " saf completely lost it, why risk our best players on europa league " well the pace of the game unabled us to give players some playing time ( cleverley, park and pogba ) without risking injuries. We were outplayed by a decent team when we werent even trying to play.
When we celebrate our 20th title at the etihad come may im sure im not goana see most of the haters here posting rubbish .

At the end of the day fans have their right to express anger at the performance and some of the players. We was dreadful.

Our defense was a shambles tonight. Absolute mess. Why? Rio is past it, Evans is not UTD quality and Evra is long past it. Rafael wasnt too good either.

Giggs i feel needs to retire, his performances are saddening me. Scholes came back because he can still do a job. Giggs is only still here because of his experience.

Park has always been hit and miss. Used to come good in the big games, but never seems to play good anymore.

We need to bring in some real quality. Weakest areas have to be CM, WB and maybe CB. We are also lacking a bit of creativity. Need another strike option too. Berbatov is sh1t.

We should be buying the likes of

Alba/Cissokho to replace Evra.

Subotic/Hummels to replace Rio. (I dont need reminding that Smalling is Rio's natural successor).

Martinez/Vidal to add some steel to the midfield.

Eriksen/Hazard to put some more creativity into the attacking midfield.

Higuain to replace berba.

But we will probably end up with Izaguirre, Rodwell and an unheard of talent.

Im entitled to my opinion and it is this, we simply dont have the cash to buy the 3/4 world class players we need. We will be given 60/70million at the max in the summer. Is that gonna buy us Alba, Subotic, Martinez, Hazard and Higuain? No chance. Until we have significantly less debt we wont be seeing many marquee signings for world class players which in reality we direly need.

Im not saying the Glazers are bleeding the club dry but they are not the best of owners and i would rather them sell up. But if they can sort the debt relatively quick maybe we could see a good influx of cash.

Sounds pessimistic but hey, im worried about the club as a lifelong fan. And yes you could say i am wishful thinking but did we not once have Cristiano Ronaldo, Rooney, Tevez, Scholes, VDS, Vidic, Berbatov (who were all world class at the time) in the same squad? Thats 7. We currently have Rooney, Vidic and Scholes who id say are world class, Hernandez perhaps in a season or two.

Prices have inflated, but the fact is the owners have gotta catch up with the game of football. If we are to carry on as the most successful club in England we have to pay the prices for the world class players. Which sadly we cannot currently do until we are in a better financial position.

This summer by utd signings you will see whether the funds mean we compete jus for premiership or Europe!yes its great that we have some good young players who yes must have there playing time but there is definate for a few top quality to come in

There seems to be alot of people throwing thier toys out of the pram and jumping on the we need to buy a new squad band waggon. This just isn't the case, it's no good putting a plaster on someone suffering from a headache it won't make a blind bit of differance. We could have had 11 superstars out thier tonight and in all likelyhood would have still been beaten.

Without trying to sound arrogant we had the better players out there tonight and were soundly beaten, buying new players won't change that. We had the better players against Ajax Benfica and Basle too and didn't do much better. So the solution to the answer isn't sign new and better players(although i do feel we need a couple of players). What we need to do is get to the root of the problem and sort it.

So what is the problem? Quite simply we were tacticly naive in every aspect of our play. In the Premier league we are in first place but in europe where tactics reign supreme we have come up horribly short. Last year we were awful in europe with pretty much the same team that was very good the year before and this year things have got even worse. So whats changed? We lost a very good tactically minded assistant manager thats what. Sir Alex is the best man manager in the world but he isn't great tactically which is why he's struggled in europe in his 25 years at the club. It's no coincedence that our best spell in europe has come when Carlos Queiroz was Sir Alex's assistant. Mike Phelan may be a club man but he's not the ying to Sir Alex's yang.

Anyone who knows anything about the workings of football will tell you that you can beat any team in the world if you work hard and get your tactics spot on(with a reasonable amount of talent obviously).

Our current team has the base of a great team, we have young hungry and talanted players, what we need now is someone to work with them tactically and point them in the right direction.

Queiroz is currently the manager of Iran surely it's worth a phone call to see if he want's to come back? I'd even be tempted to offer him a shot at the big job when Sir Alex steps aside if that would convince him to come back as assistant in the short term.

So before we spunk our cash on players this summer lets get our priorities right and bring in a tactically genius to work as Sir Alex's assisant and get us back where we belong.

We don't buy cause there's no value in the market but I bet most if the guys here to name few just few players that are far better than we have. SAF lost his magic touch when comes to select the right players for the right games. I have said a few times now to push Rooney up top and leave Hazard behind him in the hole. I actually think we need to keep two strikers as Rooney comes deep and no one takes his place.

If i had my way, and money was no option id sign Modric, Hazard and Alba at the very least. Spent our normal budget on Modric, sell Young, Park, etc to raise more money because they really aren't too great.

Well, congratulations to Bilbao, they played us off the park. We were never going to go through after the first leg humiliation and to be quite frank, we didn't deserve to.

We are kidding ourselves when we think this squad is going to push Barca. The story might have been different tonight had Scholes, Vidic and Valencia had played. But in reality we are a poor side at the moment.

English football is on the decline, and we are not playing 'good' football. We've outplayed by Benfica, Bilbao, Norwich, Man City and may other sides. We are a shadow of our former selves and would be embarrased by Barca or Madrid as well as our very own side from 3 or 4 years ago.

Some investment needs to go into this squad or else, no more 'decent' players we need good quality talented, technically gifted players. That is what we were lacking badly tonight, we couldn't keep the ball.

On the plus side, Pogba looked good, De Gea's handling was good, Welbeck was a breath of fresh air when he came on and Rooney had a good game and Cleverly did a couple of decent things but was generally poor. Everyone elses performance ranged from abject to rubbish. Park can't beat a man, Giggs can't hold onto the ball, Rafael and Evra can't defend.

I really hope that people can now see that EVRA is USELESS now, he has to go for the good of the club.

Please lets see the changes in the summer, lets go for the likes of Sahin, Modric, Hazard, Martinez. I tell you what, just having Martinez and Muniain in our side would probably have made a huge difference for us tonight. Include those two in a starting 11 and we are immediatly technically better, add to that decent left back and we are a far improved side:

__________DDG
Jones__Ferdy__Vidic__Alba
Toni__Clevs__Martinez__Muniain
________Rooney_Chicha

Please Fergie, start wielding that axe.

My worry now is that with just a game a week between now and may, and as much as i hope we make it 20, it absolutley must not hide the fact that major surgery needs carrying out in the summer. anything less and we will fall further behind europes elite,

OK every poor result we go on the rampage so please talk with your head and not your heart.

Like the previous game the last 20 minutes they lost their pace and should of been our time if we could of contained them earlier to get our goals.

Saying that hats off to them, they played very well and on their day are an excellent team. We hadn't time on the ball and lacked any type of attacking threat up until the latter stages of the match.

Really we learned very little we didn't already know, our squad isn't strong enough and we do lack in certain positions. I'm bitterly disappointed but saying that it was good to see what the future united team will look like and didn't do too badly but I only hope Jose tells fergie his targets to buy this summer cause we cant go through another season like this.

I'm not going to post about how the entire squad should be sold and the manager should be sacked as many posters no doubt will tonight after the game. I'm going to say tonight and last week we were beaten by a side who were giving their all in every minute of both games and playing to their maximum. Congratulations to Bilbao as they were fantastic.

Other points are that we should adopt a tempo similar to Bilbao as that forces mistakes from even the best players. My other point focuses on the performance of 1 player. Despite our whole side playing poorly they seemed at least to be trying, however, the last 30 minutes that Patrice Evra played there are probably the worst 30 minutes I have seen him play for United (that's saying something considering how he has played for the last 12-18 months) his efforts were that of someone who couldn't be arsed showing any commitment whatsoever. If you watch the 2nd goal again he didn't even attempt to block the cross, the amount of times he walked/jogged back instead of sprinting and the amount of sloppy passages of play involving him were ridiculous.

Knew we'd lose the second i saw Giggs and Park anywhere near the starting lineup. When playing Spanish football you need to keep the ball, how are we going to do that with them?

On the up side, what a stunner from Rooney. It's no coincidence that the moment Giggs went off we got better, because guess what. Welbeck contributes more to the midfield than Giggs.

Beaten by a better team over the two legs, i expected to lose tonight, but not in this manor, overall im very disappointed. To all United "fans" who are clambering for everyones heads, was it not only last weekend when you was sucking the proverbial penis and claiming how great we are and how terrible all other teams are? Rant over. My next point regards the excellent games of football athletic have played, my hat goes of to them.... though i slowly pick it up and put it back on after the amount of play acting and diving i witnessed during todays game, which is possibly the only bad thing i can say about them. My next point is regarding English football vs Spanish football, is it possible that our style is Rock and theirs is paper, since Spanish football has entered their golden era we have been put to shame! yet we dominate our home league, why is this, does technical ability over come power and speed? 1) Let's welcome the no-named posters who demand SAF's resignation.

2) Liverpool lads, keep this interesting banter coming, just forget the fact that you're a mid table side who would do well to stay in the EPL this season.

3) This Ref made me laugh, He wasn't terrible but he missed some decisions.

4) Stan Collymore seriously needs to shut up. 45 minutes "if Bilbao score again (2-0) it won't really matter to much". Bilbao score again "It's game over now" - Contradict yourself why don't you.

5) We were terrible, Massively impressed with Pogba, he fitted in very well and worked hard.

6) Well done Bilbao, Played really well.

I trust most of the people on here are scousers tonight just posting stupid things, surely united fans aren't that stupid to think tonight was anything but a team playing their biggest game of the season. If we get knocked out of the champions league early for the next 2 years and these young lads don't improve then fair enough we are in decline.

Anyone calling the players 'losers' and pretending to be a united fan needs to take a reality check.

Well, first thing's first. Credit to Athletic Bilbao, because they vastly outplayed United in both of the legs, and thoroughly deserve their praise. United were pretty woeful, and were dominated in every aspect of the game. Young was anonymous. Park ran around and fouled everyone. Cleverley's pass completion rate must have been terrible. Rooney's strike was really the only good moment for United, as their overall play was very poor. Good to see Pogba get another run out. He was more effective than Park, and should have started all the Europa games. It's crazy to think Athletic are 7th in their league. I shudder to think about how United would fare against the top 6 in La Liga. Some serious evaluating needs to be done in the summer. Evra is a liability, and someone needs to step up and replace him, or a replacement needs to be purchased.

Hi Guys
Well the reality is over the 2 legs the better side has won no arguements. That said as good as Bilbao were we were poor.Bilbao have given us a lesson with the ball and without it.
I have to say that a lot of names are bounded about on here to be the next signings but IMO we need to get Hazard and Muniain. Those 2 will add the flair we are looking for and both young enough to be around for years to come.
Right onto Sunday and Wolves and the quest for title number 20.

Before the Sydneys of this world come in with the excuses. It wasn't an important game, Fergie didn't put out his best team, it doesn't matter because we're still on top of the league, etc. Lets take a moment to think about what this humiliating defeat means.

Three summers ago Fergie stated his intention to build a team capable of challenging Barcelona. Tonight we witnessed, for the second time in a fortnight, a United team completely dominated by a team 33 points off the top of la liga. Not only were we played off the park in these two games, above all we lacked the hunger and drive to even get close to competing. In contrast to Arsenal and Chelsea and their efforts in the last two weeks in the Champions league, we just accepted it (a few noteworthy exceptions).

We are a team that lacks leadership. We need someone who can stand up and drive the team on. Not a player like Evra masquerading as a captain. But a player who will not accept the type of languished performance the team has trotted out the last few weeks. We can't rely on Vidic as we don't know how he will come back from injury.

Ultimately Fergie needs to really think about the direction the team is heading in and how far the gap between us and Barca, Real and Bayren actually is. You can guarantee that City will be throwing money around in the summer trying to close this gap, but what are we going to do?

SAF should've played a reserve/fringe players team tonight and saved our strongest team for the league. If we lose to wolves like we did last season we are going to look very foolish for risking the league on trying to climb a mountain in Spain. We were out after the first leg. Never seen a united team so outclassed, outpaced, outfought and out thought as we have been by Bilbao in both legs. Embarrassing and depressing and it highlights the poor standard of the EPL. We win a lot of our games on reputation alone. We all can see that our midfield is shockingly bad and has been for 3 years. Evra is past it. As is Park and increasingly Rio. Giggs too. Cleverly seems to believe his hype but has achieved little so far to justify it. Rooney is our only world class player. It will be SAFs finest achievement if we win the league this season with such a limited team. Young is ok against the likes of Wigan but isn't what I see as real united quality. Valencia has been excellent but remember how poor he was made to look in the champions league final? The twins are forever injured. We need major surgery this summer if we are to compete in Europe. We might still do ok in England with 1/2 additions but it is obvious we are light years behind barca, real and bayern. Buy Martinez, hazard, a LB and a centre forward and we might restore our pride in Europe. Let's hope we do the business v wolves because league number twenty would be amazing.
Sorry for depressing you all but it's worrying watching us get outclassed.

This may be harsh but we might need to lose the EPL in order for our first 11 to be strengthened. This match is disgraceful. We know we need to score goals to win and we have only had 1 shot at goal. As I type this we have scored. So that's 2 shots on target, but it takes a wonder goal for us to score!! Against a team that is 7th in their league. I love united and really hope something semi drastic is done in the summer. Dissapointed fan. Rant over.

Ok we have been fairly poor tonight, Bilbao have been good, the referee has also been poor. Those are my only thoughts on the match as, quite frankly, I dont care. This season is about finishing on top of the domestic pile, not just for ourselves, but to stop the City juggernaught take a stranglehold on English football. Those who say "we are United, we shouldnt like losing", none of us like losing but I would say those people have never been around during a time where we havent won for a long time. There is a bigger picture in all of this and this seasons poor European form will only help the young players, just as it did in 1996 and 2005. On another note what is going on with the Liverpool "banter" these days? Is it the school holidays or something? Does the youth of today really lack any form of wit and/or imagination?

No support for Rooney and he drops back far too deep.

Wellbeck on, Giggs off and try Pogba as we have nothing to lose now. Brignign Scholes on achieves nothing. WE need to try our younger players or they will leave.

I'm going to go out there and say my Ideal and plausable summer dealings:

INS:

(not sure this will happen but his coach's announcement today forced his inclusion! It's either him or Xhaka IMO)Yann M'Vila - Looks set to move on, has stated he would love to come to us and fits the bill!

Granit Xhaka - Will add a bit of steel, energy and youthful exuberence to our ageing midfield. Would compliment Carrick, Scholes and Cleverley all nicely.

Eden Hazard - Is going to leave at the end of the season and everytime I see the SAF was there articles, I just keep reading more into it! I can't help it.

Lucas Digne - I think he will come as part of the Hazard deal, played with him, speaks French, ideal for Evra to teach.

Mateo Kovacic or Sotiris Ninis - One attacking CM that can pull the strings, depending on scout reports, price we will chose one of them.

Alan Pulido or Angelo Henriquez - I expect this to happen in Berba goes, I don't expected an experienced striker to come in as it will only be detrimental to Welbeck and Hernadez's progession. I hear we have first option on both so I see one of those hapenning.

OUTS:

Berbatov - Full Sale. Definately a possibility after todays comments

Loans:

Brady - Premier league Club
Tunicliffe - Premier league Club or Top 5 Championship
Macheda - I really feel they will give him another chance, we just need to find the right place to loan him to.
Petrucci -Premier league Club or Top 5 Championship
Will Keane, Larnell Cole, Jese Lingard - I think they will all have short stints at club's during next year 1-3 month loans in the Championship.

These are all possible and feasible dealings I expect to happen.

Would you all be happy with that? I certainly would.

These hazard rumours seem hopeful but where really do we need to improve?.. Carril had been one of our best players this season and all I see that needs replacing is the creative midfielder we have been lacking for a few years now... I still think sneijder is the man, genuine class two footed and quick over a few yards and on the turn. With berba leaving perhaps another striker needs to be brought in but at the end of the day Rooney works well with welbeck and Chica so all we need is perhaps a benchqarmer with a bit of experience.

So with the news of Berbatov leaving it seems we are clearing some more of the deadwood out this summer. Maybe 8-10m for Berbatov? There are several players who's futures aren't guaranteed but with Anderson seemingly unable to stay fit for a prolonged period and Park showing that his standard seems to have dropped a bit I think they may well be moved on. Many on here want a new lb with Evra going and I agree with that however I can see Evra being here for 1 more season. The others like Kuszczak, Macheda, Bebe, Owen and De Laet will all most likely be going as well. Adding to that whether or not Scholes will play on, the situation with Fletcher and Giggs most likely playing a lesser role. Rough valuations of these players could well bring in around 25m. Here's hoping for another 25-30m being added onto that figure to revamp the squad. Thats enough to bring in a marquee number 7, a midfield battler and most likely another young prospect most likely a forward. That wouldn't be a bad summer IMO.
