Who ever came up with the name 'Disney' for Sydney, take a bow mate (friend or foe). That's exactly how i've always pictured Disney (Sydney). Goofy's big teeth, Mickeys big ears and Donald duck's speech impediment.

Blair Mayne YNWA JFT96

Ps. Must've felt like your birthday today Disney. With Uniteds finances/revenue/turnover being revealed?

Did anyone see how liverpools 20m signing Henderson did for England over the last two games?.......nah me neither it seems he isn't good enough for England, where as our 16m summer signing Jones played more minutes than any other englishman during this break. Oh and he's 3 years younger than Henderson. Ah well my scouse friends C'est la vie. lol

What the f**k am I reading?

Syd!

You cant remember that many goals from Beckham crosses? What Utd did you watch? Cole, Yorke, sheringham, solskjaer, in fact EVERY Utd striker will prove that absolute sh**e comment wrong!

You dont need big guys to score headers. Cole and Yorke proved that, Chicho and Rooney also proove that. All you need is good crosses and good movement. I would say consistent good crosses into the danger area with Chicho and Rooney moving about is ALOT better than nani cutting inside and frustrating his teammates by messing it up. By all means give him the freedom to do that but certainly the crosses are better options.

I thought you knew a bit about football as well.

And by no means am I putting forward he should be sold but I am nit picking as its an all to often occurrence.

Also I would have him 3rd behind Rooney and Vida.

@ No names

It seems you are comparing this seasons Toni to Nani. we will agree Toni is taking it easy coming back from his injury and has not had the same dynamic bursts of 2 years ago but as I said that was when I was comparing their crossing from.

No doubt Nani has more to his all round game and is the better winger. The point was about his crossing not his ability as a winger. If Nani (as Syd says) inevitably hits the defender often with the cross he is not a good crosser. That is as plain as day.

If a striker keeps shooting but his shots always hit the defenders without them having to move is that good shooting or is it just because of the technique? I would say that's down to the striker being pish and not trying a different technique.

His corners are a perfect example. Set ball, first man about 15-20 yards away and bosh! straight to him. Not just Nani tho Giggs does it as well. There is no excuse for it.

Also of course forwards don't just get freedom in the box that is down to movement. All they can hope for is a cross into the right area (ie passed the 1st defender) then its down to the forward to finish it. Valencia is a lot better at that than Nani.

I honestly have no idea how anyone can say or even argue that Nani is a top class crosser.

Mind boggling.

I've never been a great fan of Rodwell, and have questioned what many of you see in him in the past. But in the last couple of games, for both club and country, he has really impressed, and for me is probably our most realistic signing for January!

The more I watch football, the more I realise I don't understand the game. How does Stuart (no assists, no goals) Dowling get anywhere near an England squad I will never know!

I bumped into a man crying uncontrollably outside a department store in Liverpool yesterday, and all he could go on about was how he hates this time of year, dressing up in a ridiculous red outfit and embarrassing himself in front of thousands of people.

I said, "Look, Mr.Gerrard, you chose to play for Liverpool."

Just watch the way big phil jones always wants the ball while playing in the England midfield. Hopefully he can get a few more games in there and become a major force for uniteds midfield.

Manchester United look set for another record-breaking year off the pitch after posting a healthy 16.5% increase in first-quarter turnover to £73.8million..

Now who says the club doesn`t have the cash..!
All i can say is,...SAF has always said, we try to bring player who could suit the squad, who can help the squad to be stronger...Not like City,...buy all the stars and look at the dressing room..

Looking at peoples comments about Nani's crossing etc.

I think at times he delivers a top cross and other times he wastes his chance to whip in a cross by doing another step over an turining back in. I would rather see Nani knock the ball past a defender and whip it in more often. Thats his biggest inconsistency and TBH its something that could quite easily be sorted out.

Also just to suggest an alternative to nani position in team, how about Young on left, Valencia on right and maybe Nani behind Rooney as Nani has the ability to dribble and shot from distance and plays good through ball to Rooney something that Anderson isn't doing enough. Also you could play Cleverly in midfield with either Carrick/Fletcher/Pogba along side him. Then we would have that attacking flair in midfield.

It would be nice to see a few changes in team and see Pogba and Morrison given more chances as some of our current squad players are either too old or not good enough.

Carroll is 6x better than Cicharito.

6 = Chicaritos value

35 = Carrolls value

36/6 = 6 = 6x better....

This is the logic of the average Liverpool fan.

I will agree APC he is excellent at putting the ball on someones head unfortunately I dont count the first defender as being any help to us (especially corners where your point comes undone).

Surely his crossing, if so good, should be able to whip around the first defender or at least the defender would have to thow himself into a tackle to block it? Do they have to do that? No! they can stand still and it hits them. Look at Rooney overhead kick v City Nani attempt at a cross deflected off 1st defender and Rooney provided the magic for the goal to happen.

Valencia in the year Rooney scored so many did it perfectly, 1 touch to control, look up, then whip a ball across onto Rooneys head. Nani's assists from crosses were no doubt increased alot last season by the fact Chicho manages to JUST get a toe/knee/head/etc to a ball due to his movement not because Nani's cross is pin point like Valencia or before that Beckham.

So the financial results have been released today and people like Sydney will tell you that we are reducing the debt and Fergie can buy who he wants. But I ask you all to look at the squad we have and ask yourself where is the 30 odd million still left from the Ronaldo money that we were promised. There is one cold fact and that is "taking today's results into account, "Glazer costs total" now at £578m. So when Judas Gill and Fergie tell you every thing is great under the Glazers ask yourself what we could have done with that money and think to yourselves that is what City's owners have invested over at the Council House. I was shouted down last season and told to wait till the summer to see the world class players that would be brought in after our humiliation in the CL final. Well i waited and i am still waiting. As for the Glazers "A plague on your houses. RAINFISHTROMBONE

I do respect all of your points of views but...

I want to understand those guys who are always talking about Nani leaving. Are you reall on your best state of mind? There's no best winger at Utd than him. Even in EPL I just want one name. Whe the season does you'll see who's going to have more goals and assists. You guys talk too much.
Nani and Rooney are the only game changers we've. If we want to beat the best we've to keep our best players and NANI Is one of them.

We need to bring quality players to add in what we've.

United's gross debt down to £433.2m, down from £516.7m this time last year. That is a debt reduction of £83.5m in just one year. Our yearly bond interest payment will dip below £40m this year compared to the £50.7m paid out last year.

Even though are debt is being reduced rapidly, I still cannot help but think who we could have signed without this unwanted debt that the Glazers saddled us with.

This nani situation is stupid, no way will he be leaving. Firstly its a ploy to get a better contract from his agent and secondly 30 million for a player entering his prime years, we could easily get 40 to 45 million, Andy Carrol and Jordan Hendersn shows us that.
No way would he ever go italy, and if he was we would charge a huge fee, these are the same italian teams that were considering paying city 50 million for tevez, or a deal of equal value.
Nani is a great player, that considering the circumstances of taking over the best player in the world (Ronaldo) has stepped up to the mark very well. He carried us on his back the first half of last season and deserved to start in the final of the champs league, or atleast come on at half time for giggs.
Nani will produce a special season for us this year, if given a regular run in the side and not dropped evreytime he picks up momentum. People on here saying he has a good game every 3, but the poor lad has to deal with rotation with valencia and park, who are chosen as a defensive option, and ashley young. You give him a defensive mid and an attacking mid and you will see him become a brilliant, world beating player, in fact all are wingers would become the same. They have to deal with defensive errors and centre mid errors.

My thought:

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer as assistant manager until Sir Alex decides to retire, by which time he can have learnt some of the ropes and got a few points from the great man and can take over? Now is that not a great idea? Or am I perhaps being a little naive about the trials and tribulations of managing one of the biggest clubs in the world? ;)
