On a positive note, tha fans today were absolutely different class. That show of solidarity at the end gave me chills.

Posted a similar thing, don't know where it's ended up but yeah they were a different class, always going to get that against pool, we're always up for it, just wish the players would follow suit.

Amazing is the only word.

Our fans were the highlight of the game! They deserved better from the players and the managers, best fans in the world

Bad day in the office. But we'll be back. Stronger than ever. We've got to give Liverpool credit. They were very good.
United will never die.

{Ed004's Note - Haven't posted all day didn't want to be rash. It's has taken this long for me to come round to the argument about Rooney and RVP not being able to play together and I don't think they can in our current team. I think we need to move Mata behind either one of them and in the summer sign two wingers. Have two wingers, Janujaz, Valencia and Lingaard competing for the wide areas. Welbeck, Hermandez and RVP/Rooney then Kagawa and Mata for number 10 role.}

Ed004

I agree with you but we have gotten ourselves into this pickle of having RVP and Rooney and sitting one of them is like heresy.

I love the wingers idea, I am old fashioned and still think the right wingers will provide for the best brand of football.

Banter please Ed

I always enjoy reading and look forward to Shappy's posts. Don't mean to sound like a groupie but I usually agree with most of what Shappy/Mick1/JakeW aka Weggy/GDS2/GCU aka Sharam have to say. Love this site and read up on it at least twice a day but hardly post.

This site has got me growing as a true United fan and has educated me on the history and all things United! So I just want to thank all of you for your contribution.

I'm immigrating to London and although I was there at the Scholes testimonial as well as the community shield in 2011(one of the greatest days of my life as I got to shake the hand of every player as they came to collect the trophy!) I'm hoping to join you crazy lot at as many games as I can manage!

Was born a United fan through my father who during the apartheid in South Africa decided to support United due to the fact that SA was unable to play any sport professionally because of our pathetic apartheid regime!
Gary Bailey was the only South African at the time to leave SA and play sports outside the country and made 294 caps as a Manchester United goalkeeper!

Born and bred as a Manchester United fan, with my fondest memory of the legend Giggs dribbling past at least 5 arsenal players to score the winner in the Fa cup!

He is still the one and only player that has graced the back of my United shirt as he is the only player that is still currently playing for United that has earned the right and the respect to be called a united legend through and through!

Sorry for the long post.
Much respect to you all!

{Ed002's Note - For about 6 years I was banned from entering South Africa. Good luck with the move.}

Really?! As hard as I try I can not think if a reason that this country wouldn't let you in especially with the shambles it's currently facing! Must of been something bad;)

This was just a cracking, nice post to read from a fan from far afield! :)

Nik

Good luck with the move, prefer the North to London but sure you will settle and there is a decent train service to Manchester. I was at OT for Gary Baileys debut, fine keeper.

Welcome fellow Red. Watched Gary Bailey on numerous occasions. I was behind the goal when he saved a couple (three maybe?) penalties away at Ipswich.we still lost 6-0.and people think things are bad this season!

Glad someone likes my posts. lol. I hope the move goes smoothly and you settle well in London. The trick with living in London is finding the right borough for you, its like loads of small towns all pushed together and each town has its own feel. I have family who live in London and some parts I hate and others I love. I'm currently living in Newcastle and I love the northern people but I hate the isolation from most of the rest of the UK. Swings and roundabouts as they say.

He saved 3 in that game but only two counted because he saved a penalty but it was re taken and he saved that too so 3 in a way! We got beat 6 mil and we were runners up that season I think

Cheers Pancho, the grey matter isn't what it was!

Cheers mate! Nice to know someone is enjoying my ramble. Ed002 how on earth did you get banned from SA for 6 years?! Haha!

{Ed002's Note - It is a long story. To this day there are a number of Middle Eastern countries that won't let me in.}
