We should play Pogba in the 10 position, with Matic, Fred and Pereira in the middle with Sanchez and lukaku up top when all are fit. Good solid midfield base.

Would be worth a try, but personally I feel pogba’s best role is driving forward from midfield. Something we haven’t seen enough off, and hopefully we see it more this season!

Anyone else loving Jose's comments in the last few days? A lot more positive, like the Jose we wanted.

I was smiling after i watched that, really good to see.

You have been on this site long enough to no better. We are only allowed to moan about Jose and the team and the awful fate that awaits us this season!
It is a well known fact in all walks of life that complaining is now it vogue.
Do right things, smile and be positive and it warrants no comment at all, but I would not like you so be in a minority of one so here goes . Loving it. Cheered me up a little.
Cheers.

Matter of time before they twist his words on City, inevitable.

I thought we were told to take everything José says in his press conferences, with a pinch of salt.

18 Aug 2018 21:30:45
Yeh we have stevie,

But its amazing how even with this pinch of salt, many MANY posters jump on his every word normally.

But when his answers are slightly more upbeat and concise - there are few comments.

I just ignore them all, mate. José plays the press, and vice versa. All just a game. It's getting like WWE.

I enjoyed Jose's recent comments, I wish he was up beat and playful more often. Like it or not when your the manager of Manchester United your words carry greater significance than the managers of other clubs.

It can change the mood around the club. That's the power of the managers words. The United manger must choose his words and how he delivers them carefully.

I'm still a skeptic of the Jose/ United marriage of convenience, and feel it will end badly. However, I feel happier and more up beat hearing Jose's recent comments rather than his tour comments.

Is it a film that city have done or a series like juve and the cardinals, they were both a really good watch.

1 of the all or nothing documentaries, will be a good watch there has been a few now, juve cardinals, Dallas cowboys and I think the all blacks .
Really interesting.

Whilst you all consider your predictions for this year’s competition (search or predictions) I noticed an article in today’s Times. Every Saturday the Fink Tank uses science to predict what will happen. Obviously for a one off game it is often wrong but using science to look at a seasons result is interesting.

This week they looked at likelihood of relegation and found the most likely team to be relegated is Huddersfield, followed by Brighton, Fulham, Cardiff and then West Ham. The one thing it doesn’t take into account is transfer business but interestingly the big 6 are all seen as having 0% chance of being relegated. Everyone else has odds. If I asked you to guess who is deemed to be least likely to be relegated after the big 6, I’m guessing most of you wouldn’t have said Palace, but that’s what the science says. Very interesting read.

{Ed004's Note - I think Palace have a very strong side. Its between them and Everton for the award of best of the rest for me}

I put Cardiff, Huddersfield and Fulham for relegation, almost put Brighton. 4 worst teams on paper.

Agree, Ed004. I have 3 Palace players in my fantasy football team, and I never thought that would happen!

{Ed004's Note - They are also extremely entertaining to watch, however, there season relies on Zaha maintaining fitness}

Yeah, I think keeping him there this summer, was pivotal to their season. I've enjoyed watching from the second half of last season, which surprises me for a Roy Hodgson team.

Hey mort don't you think Fulham Invested decent It depends on how fast they can hit the ground running and also the possibility of seri's chillblains affecting them but sessegnons a very good player I think they might have enough I reckon Huddersfield and Cardiff and then third team that wasn't expected to no one thought west bromo or Stoke would go down last year and huges is in charge of a potential relegation team.

The state of Phil Thompson. 900k a week. Awful pundit. Arguably the worst on Sky and there's some stiff competition.

Still one of my favourite chants from when he was the Liverpool Assistant Manager. Thompson stood oin the touch line shouting at players and to the tune of Bread of Heaven, the Stretfors End launched into ‘get your nostrils off the pitch’.

The new pink away kit looks a bit special. I'm old enough to remember the football pink which I've found out this kits colouring is to commemorate . A nice touch from Adidas .
I'm so glad we have Adidas and not Nike . Adidas seem to have more of a connection with the fans . Still hoping for a green and yellow kit in the near future😆😆.

Morning everyone. I'm not a Mourinho fan, BUT, it was good to see him take the questions about Pogba and answer them in a really positive way.
So the ball is in Pogba's court now, it'll be great if he came out and pledged his future and commitment to the club. I hope he stays and i hope he knuckles down and play with commitment and maturity like he did for France. If he does, then we have one hell of a footballer in our team.
And if he helps us win the league this year, I'll personally pay for his haircuts for a whole year.

Spot on Schmid, I thought he came across really well. As I said on another post I started feeling sorry for Jose this week, we’ve discussed at length where we have concerns but he was getting it in the neck from all sides and often just rumour and gossip. He’s cleared it up, the players look happy, a few are among postoove things about him, hopefully the mood is where it needs to be. A good 3-0 win will completely change the narrarive.

Everyone has had another weeks training, hopefully we will be a bit more fluid and do the business.

All we need is for Pogba to show class and come out and support the manager and club. We're the club that gave him his first steps into football, and hopefully, he'll realize that and perform for us. It is so important for the player to have respect for the manager and the club, so hopefully, Pogba will do that.

How are you supposed to know what’s going on, take Jose’s word for it? . If I was a sceptic I would say Jose speaking positively on any issue or non issue as you say it would make it very difficult for Pogba to reignite it or drag it out without becoming the “bad guy” in everyone’s view. As a manager he seems to have put it to bed, as is his job but it doesn’t mean there wasn’t an issue to begin with.

I agree wrd. Players now seem to be listening to the manager. Shaw periera bailly all seem to have turned a corner and seem to realise that if they do what the manager wants and give the effort he requires then they and the team will be better off.
The manager says pogba is also doing just that.
Probably 1 or 2 more players need the penny to drop.
