I think we need to go back to the 352 from preseason.

I think we need to go back to 1993.

I'm a saints fan and just wondering what the thoughts are on rashford? To me (very untrained eye) I really like him and think he's possibly at risk from mourinhos management style ( please again note I am not aware or in knowledge so please don't shoot me down) . I may be totally missing it as i thought he was harsh in shaws management but according to jason dodd, and now luke Shaw, he needs that and thrives so could be similar situation. just interested in your views? Good luck with your season.

I think he's Welbeck 2.

Agree8 Disagree4

19 Aug 2018 21:28:38
another Welbeck or Walcott no brain all pace right makes one right decision every month or so.

Speaking with son in law who was at a party when one of United’s analysts was there. He said that the current thinking is that Rashford is not expected to push on significantly and that the club has better prospects.

He was more complimentary about Lindelof and his future,

Maybe Rashford will be sold on by the club next summer?

Agree2 Disagree5

19 Aug 2018 23:39:01
Or maybe it's the way he's been coached look what difference pep has made with sterling I think if rasford had pep as a coach he might look better I don't think he's good enough to hold the line on his own but could be good at right side of a front 3.

Agree5 Disagree2

19 Aug 2018 16:28:38
We've got a good team out today, far superior to that of the opposition but still we play trash. can anybody, anybody at all explain to me how?

Believable3 Unbelievable2

19 Aug 2018 16:53:50
Because we do everything slowly, from passing to chasing to attacking, it is all slow.

Agree10 Disagree0

19 Aug 2018 18:38:36
Tactical and physiological capitulation before the game begins.

TRANSLATION : Manager and players hand no genuine belief in their ability to win.

OR: The players who are overpaid brats who, with secure pay packets, see no incentive to put in a real in a 90 min showpiece once a week.

Agree8 Disagree0

19 Aug 2018 18:50:50
We play slow, lazy football and invite the opposition to attack us. No work ethic and no one touch football for fear of losing the ball. One shot on goal in 2nd half. Its pathetic.

Agree9 Disagree2

19 Aug 2018 21:40:11
and that comes straight from the training ground as it happens evry week that must be what he wants.

Not to mention, they've spent over a billion trying to buy the league since 1990, but okay, they aren't trying to 'buy the league'.

Believable4 Unbelievable3

19 Aug 2018 11:37:46
Had this arguement with some mates, when United spend money, we are buying the league, when anyone else spends money, it's not the same
Cant win.

Agree4 Disagree0

19 Aug 2018 11:48:57
Guys, for years we have spent more money than any other English club, so we can't rurn around now and complain because some press are taking the micky. It is what it is. We spent record amounts from Denis Law, to bryan robson to roy keane to Rio to Pogba and Lukaku.
So let's have a balance here. United have always been big spenders.

Aaa good post pal.

Agree8 Disagree9

19 Aug 2018 12:15:23
Thats not what i'm saying AAA, i'm saying they think they don't actually spend anything, just Utd do, hypocrites.

Agree5 Disagree2

19 Aug 2018 12:20:48
AAA

We earned what we spent.

Agree10 Disagree2

19 Aug 2018 12:38:10
We also won trophies spending that money. No trophy for 10 years. No league title for 28 years.

Agree6 Disagree3

19 Aug 2018 14:52:49
Exactly Mort. They've spent over a billion since the inception of the premier league. Average it out for every trophy they've won since then.

Agree2 Disagree2

19 Aug 2018 16:57:09
AAA, is what we spend not self generated mostly? We make money and spend it, its how football works from grass roots up. Chelski and Citeh got sugar daddies and spent their cash, not self generated. Its called buying the league. If i am wrong about our cash, please be good enough to tell me the errors of my way.

Agree2 Disagree0

19 Aug 2018 18:56:41
Agreed Cantona and RedMan, but to people looking in, we are the rich boys, and we bought our success. And you have to agree with that. Of course, we generate the funds, and that's great, but we still buy our success.
Scholes, i know what you're saying, but you have to take the press with a pinch of salt. City are everyone's darling as we've been winning everything for years. So to the non United followers, they want to see us fail, and with Mourinho in charge, we're giving them exactly what they want.

Agree3 Disagree0

19 Aug 2018 20:34:13
Every player bought is technically buying the league regardless of cost the irony being other than your keeper every player needs replacing for you to win the league again. Back 4 probably another midfielder 2 wingers an another striker too. Miles away from city at the moment.

Agree1 Disagree1

19 Aug 2018 21:22:12
City are the media darling because they are a fantastic team.
We use to be infmder fergy

Remember Jose Chelsea.

they may not have won anything for 10 years but they are in a far better place to compete than us. Starting to sound like them banging on about history.

Agree2 Disagree1

20 Aug 2018 00:21:37
Regardless of what we spend or what others spend. the bottom line is we are playing absolutely awful football. Its a game, it's a sport and right now Man Utd are falling so far behind everybody else. The days when we were competing with Europes elite teams have gone and with this grumpy manager them days are not coming back anytime soon.

City have spent £1bn+ since 2010, and they have bought the league.

Agree0 Disagree1

20 Aug 2018 06:27:38
Everyone signs players and most of the top sides have spent a significant amount of money on recruitment.

However, it is impossible to say a side has bought the league unless they win it.

Over the last 20 years ourselves, Liverpool, City and Chelsea have spent a huge amount. Only three of those sides have bought the league though.

Agree3 Disagree0

19 Aug 2018 11:01:53
Imagine letting a biased scouser in Phil Thompson go loose on Sky Sports, 'Pot and Kettle? ' He says on Jose's comments, he's actually trying to say Liverpool AREN'T buying the league, always about net spend with them lot. Then goes on to say Sanchez is on '900k' a week, wow! How do they let him, Redknapp and Souness on TV? Bloody hell.

Jimmy, that's unfair. Neville normally says it as it is. Thompson, Carragher, Slippy all have blinkers on mate.

Love watching Neymar play Ed but he is one annoying so and so, think's he's the best on the planet, he actually left Barcelona to get out of Messi's shadow😂, brilliantly advised. IMO, you don't go from Barcelona to PSG if you want to be the best, he's slightly hampered his career i think playing against poor opposition every week. Not surprised Tite is fawning over him either, let him pick the bloody team in the WC. Even Y'day, fell over like a sack of potatoes with minimal contact in the box.

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed001's Note - he is pathetic, so much talent being wasted by him being a complete knob.}

19 Aug 2018 11:28:57
Bit like Ravel Morrison then eh Ed, was he as good as they said he is? He definitely ruined his career by acting like an person.

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed001's Note - he was very good, not Messi good, but not far off.}

19 Aug 2018 11:47:25
That just makes me feel 👎🏻Iol, could have had a £100m+ player at the club, same level as Mbappe or not you reckon?

Agree1 Disagree0

19 Aug 2018 11:51:49
He left Barcelona for PSG in order to move to Madrid in the near future. Barcelona would never have sold him to Madrid directly.

19 Aug 2018 11:52:29
Was a fantastic player bit like Gazza talent wise .

Agree1 Disagree3

19 Aug 2018 12:16:12

19 Aug 2018 13:42:40
Mbappe will be twice the player Neymar is when he's his age.

Never really got all the hype with Neymar he is the epitome of style over substance imo.
