Hey ED, any truth in the rumours that ADM has asked his agent to find a new club for him mainly because his family does not want to live here after the incident that happened to him few months back.

{Ed002's Note - Where do you get this stuff from? National Enquirer?}

It was Twitter ed and therefore i was not very sure about its authenticity.

{Ed002's Note - Could you please try and avoid asking me questions about stuff you read on Twitter. It is far from great use of my time. You know that Rooney is leaving this summer because the newspaper shop next to the ground is no longer supplying his favourite brand of cigarettes?}

Thanks Ed, I had a bet on Rooney leaving this summer because the newspaper shop next to the ground is no longer supplying his favourite brand of cigarettes. :)

Hi all,
Thanks to Eds as always for the site. Hope everyone is well.
Not posted for a little while, combination of house move and 8 month old son keeping me too busy!
Quick question for the Eds, are the recent rumours of SAF meeting with Ronaldo about a Summer return true? Are you guys aware if Ronaldo is considering it as a viable option?

Take care all.

{Ed002's Note - Not so sure "about a Summer return" being true.}

Thanks Ed.
Can you give anymore away? Perhaps more about what was actually discussed?
Have a good weekend.

United have been linked with about a 20 different players in the past week.
And looking at the stats, De Bruyne looks like a Class footballer.
Has anyone seen him play? Would he suit us?

Great player. Best midfielder in Europe this year bar none!

Really rate this guy. Couldn't believe it when Chelsea let him go. Thought when he went to Wolfsburg, his career might stagnate a little. How many times do you see highly-rated young players go backwards, when their big move doesn't work out? But he's maintaining very high standards from what I've seen of him.

{Ed002's Note - He went because he was making demands Chelsea would not agree to. It was very simple and they made a good profit.}

Fair enough, Ed. Confidence in his own ability might explain why his career hasn't stalled.

I don't know if anyone else watched the Dortmund-Juventus match but here are my impressions of the players we are often linked with:

Pogba went off with a hamstring pull early, which was a shame. He did his part on both sides of the ball up until that point. Vidal was his usual energetic self, he played with an edge, going into tackles hard.

For Dortmund, Reus did not influence the game as much as I would have hoped. Juve sat deep to give him and Aubemayeng no space in behind. And Gundogan looked good on the ball, but showed nothing at all defensively.

I still see a lot of positives with Hummels. If he has speed on either side of him, he should be fine. He is strong in the tackle and strong in the air. And on the ball, he really is world class: composure, passing range, and especially technique, he weights his passes beautifully.

You can see how Van Gaal would like to play out of the back through a player like him. LVG would train all the movement when Hummels has the ball and time to pick his pass.

Sorry if we buy either hummels or gundogan, then i think we're making a massive mistake. Hummels played terribly and gundogan was a passenger.
We need a dominant cb and a dominant cm. These two are neither and do not influence or dominate opposition.
I will take otimendi and pogba over them any day.

Oh you can't be serious picking Otamendi over Hummels. I can't see how. Performance and ability (which i think Hummels trumps Otamendi) aside Hummels is a more accomplished and younger player with loads of experience at both National and club levels.

I'd take a chance on Gundogan. I think he has great qualities and his injury problems seem to be behind him.

{Ed002's Note - I would forget Gundogan now.}

Has he signed a contract extension ed?

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed002's Note - A very recent approach (in the last 50 hours) about his availability was responded to that a three year extension has been agreed between the club and player and details are being finalised.}

I see. Good for Dortmund. Onto other targets I suppose.

Thanks ED!
