Massive game for us tomorrow. Will be hard but need the 3 points, our 1st away win to set us up for a tough run of fixtures. Great that we have Jones back, will need him especially for the Chelsea and City games. Would settle for 3 points from those 2 games.

Would love to see Chiellieni and Strootman brought in two powerhouses of players could really shore up our defensive frailities both would be gettable

{Ed004's Note - Strootman I agree with but doesn't Chiellieni want to end his career at Juventus?}

Forgot about that ed but he might just want to leave for a bigger challenge

Watching Stoke v Swansea and the penalty awarded against Shawcross for pulling down Bony one can only say it's about time a referee penalized him for such habitual behavior.

The commentator here in the US's comment was "It's hard to make a rational argument in favour of Ryan Shawcross." Whether he was speaking of the specific incident, in general footballing terms, or even metaphysically, I agree and very much hope he does not return to OT.

All the talk of vlaar or shawcross coming in to fill a gap is getting on my nerves! If we have money, which I believe we do, then why stump it up and get someone younger and of a higher quality? My list is short and sweet, Hummel's, varane or inigo Martinez!! Thanks!

Believable2 Unbelievable0

We're giving away enough penalties at the moment without adding Shawcross to the mix!

Agree3 Disagree0

Chiellini for me.

Agree0 Disagree3

Would love Chiellini aswell beast great hardcore old fashioned defender

Agree0 Disagree0

Hummels would be the dream signing.

Varane and Martinez would also be very good.

Smalling and Evans will have to make way though.

McNair and Blackett would fill up those spots in the squad.

Regarding todays poll- is rojo the most important signing??

I think he was a signing in most imp area but for me as things hv pan out so far blind is the most imp signing

Believable2 Unbelievable0

Di Maria hands down for me - Without pace we are nothing and he is the only attacker with pace that can move defenders out of position so others can get involved - teams are afraid to attack us because of how quick we can counter now which means we don't concede as many chances.

Everyone is banging on about how good we are attacking wise, I haven't seen it yet, the potential is there but we need others do be doing more ADM has galvanised us RVP, Falcao, Mata & Rooney haven't reached 7 out of 10 yet.

We still look very weak defensively so Rojo and Blind are improvements but not crucial as they don't bring enough, with better players signed they will do more. ADM is the only player that has had a major impact for me.

Agree6 Disagree0

Where would we be with out di maria.

Agree5 Disagree0

Just want to add Herrera has been a breath of fresh air as well, just not quite as important as ADM has been.

Agree5 Disagree0

I think all our signings have started really well and finally we have had a brilliant transfer window as the last few windows were extremely disappointing.

For this window I think Angel Di Maria is the most important signing mainly because the has brought back the fear factor in our attack which we had lacked for a long time.

Agree4 Disagree0

I wasn't sure about Di Maria, how wrong was I?? However, I also think Blind has been far better than I thought he would be! I think he could develop into a key player

Agree3 Disagree0

I don't think any of our summer signings have been anything short of excellent. Blind has controlled games much better than I ever thought he would. Di Maria is why we are 4th / 5th at the moment. Falcao is getting better with every game and will be scoring for fun soon. Herrera has such control in the middle and never seems rushed - really impressed. Rojo has been very steady and composed on the ball too. Shaw we haven't seen too much of but he was good in the last game.

The young players have been refreshing too. Blackett has looked much better than I ever thought he would and McNair won us the game against West Ham and should of been MoM.

There are a couple of stories going round about Januzaj right now. The 1st is he wants to become a number 10, the other that Real Madrid are preparing a January bid for him.

I'm disappointed he hasn't appeared more and a little worried with all the star names arriving he won't get a look in, as we have all said we still need a dominant midfield presence.

Given LVG's current system it might be difficult to fit him in. I'd much prefer 1 up front (and we can argue about who) with an extra body across the middle. Lots of skill, energy, and pace supporting the forward would be exciting to watch. With this system, I think there is room for him. I would hate to see him sold, or sat on the bench all year

Januzaj has not looked the same this season whenever he has come on. Whether it be second season syndrome or potentially that he hasn't taken the step to the next level. He is young and could still find that step but many youngsters come through light up the team then fade. LvG will see him in training and know more. It may be that after last season he is disappointed not to be playing and is not training well enough.
I would be guessing but if Mata was sold then Adnan would likely be the first back up for Rooney in the 10 role with a view to being his long term successor. Remember LvG said we were unbalanced and it isn't rocket science to see that having sold one no10 in Kagawa we still have three left. I think Adnan will get chances but he has to take them.
I don't see us selling him, more likely Mata than Januzaj.

Agree2 Disagree1

I think he has definitely stalled, just not getting the games. He needed to be loaned out this season for me. However what would going to Real Madrid do for him football wise? He certainly wouldn't get a kick in his preferred role for them.

Just a guess I can see him going to Dortmund with Reus or Hummels deals next season if LVG isn't going to play him. Or maybe Juventus as part of a Vidal deal, Italian football is massive in Albania/Kosovo so that could be logical especially as we have Perreira coming through now.

Agree2 Disagree0

Red Man, good points. Remember though that Moyes said he was the most talented youngster he had seen since Rooney. We should be nurturing it and making the most of it, not sure we are at the moment

Agree1 Disagree0

Januzaj did ok last season, the media got carried away with him though as usual. He stood out in a few games mainly because the rest were so bad.

Many people say Rooney signing a new contract and Januzaj were the two good things Moyes did, well Rooney is another debate, but the more (or less) we see Januzaj the more it seems he isn't quite as good as we all thought just yet.

I wouldn't listen to what Moyes has to say at the minute, it is all going to be politically correct and kiss assing to get a decent job.

Agree3 Disagree0

AJH

When he gets on the pitch he has to make the most of it, it is up to him. We will make the most of it and nurture him when he shows he can justify his place. As a note I think he may also have been affected by going to the World Cup.

The question is if our previous manager thought he was so good he must have realised Januzaj could and wanted to play in the no10 role, if he had seen how talent Adnan was why did he then buy Mata? We already had Kagawa, Rooney and Januzaj.
I think Januzaj will show he has the talent and it wouldn't surprise me if he wasn't Rooneys long term replacement.

I said that training with DiMaria and Falcao would bring Wilson on and it should with Adnan too.

Agree0 Disagree1

Adan will be a top player and will eventually play the role 10 imo but that will be in a few years time imo.

Agree0 Disagree1

I think part of the problem is that Januzaj has been found out a bit by opposition. A lot of these young lads have a great first season but can struggled in the second one. It is clear to see that he is working on things, particularly his body shape so these things will take time. He may well struggled to get games though which could be an issue. I think either Januzaj or Mata will be leaving soon.

Agree1 Disagree0

Adan just needs to be patient his time will come

Agree1 Disagree1

Fresh mate, no to sure he has had enough game time this year for us to form an opinion. For whatever reason. LVG is not playing him
