DarkLar08, i'd go for Aguero as i feel he's the more talented and the least trouble of the two. And i don't think city will sell Tevez as i don't think there is anyone interested in him, madrid and barca don't need him, i can't see him going to bayern or ac milan and city won't sell him to a domestic rival which just leaves inter and they don't have the money to sign him, maybe a swap deal with either Eto'o or Sneijder but it just doesn't feel right to me, so i expect him to have another year at city or move to corinthians in january.

Whilst we won the league last season we all know it was because the other teams were not up to scratch, we had a pathetic away record last season."""
dear sir
ngiak is astounded
all clubs in Europe bar Barcelona were not up to scratch?
is this possible?
you would like man united to win all their games
and probably come up with another avenue for criticism
ngiak is truly amazed by these new fangled fans
doesn't anyone remember the 70s and 80s?
do we have the most demanding fans ever?
ngiak wonders where 50% of these people will be if we were 2nd 3rd or 4th in the league...
gan

@ Away record of top 4
Man United 25pts
Chelsea 26pts
Man City 28pts
Arsenal 31pts

Home record of top 4
Man United 55pts
Chelsea 45pts
Man City 43pts
Arsenal 37pts

We won the league because we were the best team our away record was not good but i would hardly call it pathetic.

The papers rumoured united where interested in these players. there was no offical confirmation.
United a in need of CM this season as we all know. A**m and Henderson if United was really interested SAF would have bid for these, just like he did with Jones, both young etc..
i could ask you are you sure united where interested in these players...
as for james bond nothing going on, just same minds may think alike

Jenny"""
dear miss jenny
firstly
sir alex himself has made comments on both a**m and Henderson
and your previous question or statement was that we were "not interested"
which is clearly untrue
second
ngaik hardly thinks you think like James bond
you guys are as different as heaven and earth

Two questions for everyone:

1. Aguero or Tevez?

2. Sweepstake - what price do you think Citeh will eventually be forced to offload Tevez for?

I'm going to get in early at £30m.

Just wanted to say I hope we see a return to form for Patrice Evra this season.
Not sure what was wrong last season he seemed a bit jaded.
Wonder if the mess of the French World Cup fiasco had an affect on him.
Anyway i'm sure he will be back to his best.

when United signed Denis Law in the early sixties Matt Busby was asked by a reporter, dont you think you have enough good players, Matts reply was, laddie you can never have enough good players, sir alex has identified the midfield as being a little light in numbers, his signings so far have been with the future in mind he knows what he is doing it is understandable that the fans get into a tizzy with the names being bandied around some of whom seem to have their own agenda other than declaring that their heart compels them to join United I myself have been drawn into the daily ritual of checking every back page for clues, but I believe in old poker face Alex if he feels a player is right for United he will quietly go about his business he hasnt done too bad so far Cheetham Lad

i see we still have a few negative nasri's who wasn't happy with last season.

and cowardly kaka's who give it out at others whilst hiding behind anonymity.

most teams last season had iffy spells. the difference being that we still managed to churn out results and grinfd our way forwards.

Yes it aint pretty, and it aint the swashbuckling style we are used to. But i bet any chelsea, arsenal, city and scouser fan would have taken that if it meant the league title.

The future is bright, and the youth look good as Sydney and Rainfish keep saying.

And i enjoy their little tiffs, very entertaining and very informative.

And Gan is highly entertaining as well.

And a shout out to any regulars i've missed, you keep me entertained at lunch.

The squad has lost a lot of people, but weaker? we will have to see about that really wont we. We will make 1 more signing. The lads we have brought in will do well. And out of what we have lost who really will be a huge loss? Edwin, maybe scholes.

Any way whinging wesley's chin up and Luka on the bright side.

Just watching Sneijder in Inter's pre season friendly and I have to say he is playing fantastically, he is very comfortable in possession and can ping the ball anywhere.

I hadn't seen him play much before we were linked with him but I have to say he would bring so much to the team.

We will sign at least one central midfielder mate, don't you worry about that. But I agree if we never, then we have strengthened our squad, but not our best XI. But it's all irrelevant as we will be signing a decent central midfielder.

Rainfish, have you ever thought about joining me & Gan at Red Football Ltd? It's a bigger salary than MUST are paying you?

Re: The whole Sneijder to Man Utd....
I don't know anyone who knows SAF's dog or anything like that, this is just my tuppence worth. I don't think SAF fancies Sneijder as a player and certainly not for the money being talked about. Modric fits the SAF criteria, good engine, good balance, good reader of the game etc but most important PL experience. Sneijder had a good year and a half in Italy...the weakest, slowest of the big european leagues. I suspect SAF's interest (though he's already said he has none) is more in line with the player costing City/Chelsea more money. If Chelsea cool on Modric expect late deal between Tottenham/Utd....failing that Utd to stay with the squad they have.

I think we all need to realise here guys that United are not going to be spending 30million plus on any player. The transfer strategy at the moment is that we sign players as Young as possible with a ceiling of of around 20million. I am informed that we may stretch to 25 in exceptional circumstances. The Berbatov deal is the last of its kind for United so all this talk of Pastore and Sneijder is frutiless. United made an enquiry for Sneijder (as he's classed as exceptional)but the price is too high (nevermind the wages). A CAM may come in, but he will be a young player with potential not a high priced finished article.

Rainfish there is 40 odd days left in the transfer window to sign a player/s. Your so negative. Your the head of the doom and gloom brigade, you're not happy unless your putting the club, the manager or the supporters down. You said United wouldn't spend much money this summer but we've spent 50 million so far and by the looks of things are still in the market for at least another player.

You slag Syd and Gan and anyone else who has a positive word to say about the club they love. I feel sorry for you. I know your a big United fan but I'd hazard a guess and say you havn't enjoyed being a United fan in a long time.

Make hay while the sun shines and right now the sun is shining on our club so instead of looking at all the negatives how about for once, FOR ONCE, get behind the team.

Right, I have an idea. *Braces himself for torrent of abuse*

Here goes...

A lot has been said about Rooney playing as an attacking midfielder... Well what about Berbatov? He has great touch, vision and passing, links up well with Rooney and Hernandez (as we always played really well with all 3 in the team last season from the occasions I can remember). He also has a lot of strength and DOES track back- I don't care what any of you say, he works hard despite his body language. With a good defensive midfielder behind him I see no reason why this wouldnt work, him and Rooney could even rotate during the game. And then Anderson could play the role from time-to-time aswell with a slight formation shift. Thoughts?

Sir Alex Ferguson admits he would understand if out-of-favour striker Dimitar Berbatov chose to leave Manchester United this summer. SSN

Looks like Berbatov is certain to leave Old Trafford.
But if he leaves we will be with 5 strikers, Rooney, chicha, owen, welbeck, macheda.
I dont think we will sign any forward...

We will definitely go for Attacking Midfielder, ..May be Sneijder (Acc.to Ed, 007)

Nasri is also offered £125,000/week by Arsenal.., so he will extend his contract by 2 years, and he will be the captain for Arsenal....

I guess, Ganso or Mata will be coming to old trafford if not sneijder.

This is only a question so think about it before you fly off the handle............ If we don't buy any further players and yet once again have been linked with all the big transfers only for Alex to say he is happy with the squad. Do you really think that the players we have bought will improve the squad. Yes I know they are all good players and for the future, but how do they improve on what we had last year. We have released some heavy heavy wages from the club and made some sales. So there is still plenty of that Ronaldo money left plus the £25 mill every transfer window that the Gimps promised (Oh what is that, the sound of their bitch GAN going on about revenue streams etc and not mentioning where that money is going to) but difficult for him to see with his head so far up Malcolms arse. I lookforward to Glazer plants GAN and Sydney making their usual excuses and trying to make it all sound positive. Now remember take your time and think about it don't just come out with usual abuse unless you are Sydney who I do accept abuse from as he takes more than enough from me.....RAINFISHTROMBONE
