Pogba saying it would be a dream to play for Madrid and especially Zidane, I'd cash in on him if Madrid want to buy if they offer £150 million. Maybe buy a midfielder that turns up most games.

Yep sell our best player, seems like a sound strategy.

I’d take half of that to get him out of the club. He’s poison. There’s a reason he was moved on once before.

First of DSG our best player is the one who has won our player of the year nearly every year for the last 5 years. You know DDG the best goalkeeper in the world and who turns up nearly every single week.

On form Pogba is one of the best players on the planet. However, that form comes sporadically at best. Where was he in the first game against PSG? Where was he in the vital game against Arsenal in the race for the top four?

Yeah sure, he does it against the Huddersfield's and the Bournemouth's. But does he do it when we really need it?

Then there is his behaviour during the first half of the season. i am no fan of Jose Mourinho, and I can understand Pogba's and the rest of the squads frustration. But you don't act like that if you have any respect for the club.

Sir Alex let Pogba go once before, and that might have been for a good reason. After all the one thing Sir Alex was excellent at was his judge of character.

If he wants to stay and fight for the club, learn and improve himself then great, I'm all for it. However, if he thinks he has nothing to improve on, and if he isn't prepared to fight when we need him to, and if he is going to bat his eyelashes towards Spain every summer then he is best off leaving sooner rather than later.

I wouldn't want Ole or whoever is our manager next season to start to build a side around him only for him to leave the following summer when the opportunity arises.

Our best player is de gea.

Well i think pogba is our best player, but de gea is obviously worth a shout.

On the topic of de gea, its not like he's not fluttered his eye lashes at madrid pretty much every summer and still won't commit to a club that is willing to make him the highest paid goalkeeper in the world by a considerable distance. Hardly the benchmark for loyalty.

Also he also has clear areas to improve, like commanding his area, catching the ball instead of those weak punches (we all saw that one against psg in the last minute), playing out from the back with his feet and coming out of his area to sweep when we play a high line. Everything a modern gk has to do in todays game.

Also this idea that pogba only turns up against small teams is farcical. Who scored and set up the goal against chelsea this season, the killer pass against spurs, the comeback against city last season and the europa league final. Hardly a flat track bully.

If he wants to leave then fair enough he will leave but i sure wouldn't trust ed woodward to bring in a half decent replacement with the money pogba brings us.

Maybe just maybe we bring in players of pogbas level to improve the team instead of a past it chilean who is the highest paid player at the club yet is doing an awful impression of bebe or obertan.

If a player’s heart or for that matter anybody including the manager is not with the club then he should leave. It’s not fair to himself nor the club. Same as if you are not happy working for the company then you should leave else there won’t be any productivity.
I’m not advocating Pogba to leave but there is no fire without a spark in what he said. Besides he has a good relationship with ZZ and they’re both French.
So if I were OGS I’d speak to Pogba openly and let him go if he wants to. Ensure commitment for next season. I’m sure there are good alternatives to Pogba. It’s a matter of who is right for the team and not any individual players. Of course it would help if individual players a good.
As I have been saying let OGS do his work and we can decide end of season. No hurry to confirm him. If the board wants to do benit else just see where we end up. No point pressuring him and convoluting the situation. But of course OGS can start to work on transfer list as per like he will be confirmed as next season manager. No harm on that.

Hard to disagree with DSG.
Pogba is our best creative outlet. Nobody in our team can pick out passes like him.
None in our midfield has the ability to skip past players and threaten inside the box like he does.
He does have lapses in concentration, but we wouldn't have had the recent winning run without him.

Herrera, Matic, Fred, Mctominay, Andreas make too many square or easy passes.
Although they do decent job off the ball, none of them have the game changing ability like Pogaba.

TRD I’d agree with you and DSG that Pogba is our best and most creative midfielder. Without a doubt.
But he has to learn about what to say and what not to say.
You don’t find KDB coming out to say a lot about RM or Barcelona etc? Or for that matter Mbappe? Or de Silva?
There has to be respect for the club and discipline. Of course we don’t know in what context Pogba was commenting and the toxic spin the media is spinning for clicks from readership.
But I just feel that the players these days have to be careful and behave else the free press will totally spin the story especially Man Utd is such a hated club that a lot wants to see messy and buried. Why not? Big club big story. Anyway best is leave it to the board to handle and just enjoy life 🤣🤣. I’m just happy I can live long enough to still support my club 🤙✊.

Maybe you don't see kdb doing it because he is surrounded by quality players and feels like the team are going places.

Who does pogba see in the dressing room that is on his level, de gea? But even he is stalling on a new contract and would like to move elsewhere. Majority of the squad is full of mediocre players like young, smalling, jones, rojo, darmian, sanchez, fred etc.

I am not surprised he wants to leave and compete for the biggest trophies, he has been here for 5 windows now and we haven't bought anyone remotely on his level.

Exactly, KDB has top class Silva's to play alongside him. They are nailed on to win trophies with the quality investments which they have made.

On the other hand, United have very few quality players.
Although we have some promising youngsters, they are largely inconsistent.
In order to address this issue, we must buy smartly right from this summer.
The youngsters need quality players to look upto and guide them.
Appointing a fitting DoF will be the first huge step in the right direction.

"utd have very few quality players" and "he has been here for 5 windows now and we haven't bought anyone remotely on his level. " are powerful statements to make!
However, add the fact that pogba only turns on a performance 1 in 3/ 4 games and it blows his overinflated ego and the statements out of the water. Its widely agreed his talent on the day but his attitude although improved from JM days is a bit better his statements and antics do him no favours. As was said earlier if he wants out the club should do everything humanly possible to facilitate and gt someone in who wants to be there.

Man city players are not distracted by a make shift defence and as soon as they get back on the ball it's sent forward with ease and confidence

Man Utd players have to constantly track back because we fail do do the simple things in defence! When we try to get the ball moving forward? We pass it to the opposition over and over 9 times out of 10 till our forward players drop deep and make an attempt at goal.

When we finally sign players to replace the overrated players who can't pass the ball! We might finally click and score goals.

Hi Ed001 I am from Cameroon and what is happening there is sickening. I pray the coach is safe. Military abducting English speaking people and claiming to be "unknown gunmen"

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed001's Note - I hope so too mate. Is that why his abductors were listed as "unknown gunmen"? That explains a thing or two, as all the reports were very vague on that one point.}

Pogrebnyak is being quite naive, that's putting it mildly.

Yes Ed001. That's the reason why. The English side has been oppressed since independence and the French side has been trying to assimilate them. English are against this ans taking a stand. In response a president who has been in power for the last 38 years decides to kill and abduct people, telling the international media it is unknown gunmen or rebels so western powers side with him. Sick stuff. I have faith the coach will be released in due time.

{Ed001's Note - ouch. Well I hope you are right mate and that things get better there quickly. Take care of yourself mate.}
