Lots of outs this summer, but who will be the shock outs? I think we will see Evra, Vidic, Giggs, Nani, Anderson, Kagawa & Hernandez & probably Young leave. I think Ferdinand may stick around for one more year until Keane is ready? But he could well leave. Kiko, Bebe, Amos, Petrucci etc from the youth. It's a lot of outs, but could there be any shock exits?

{Ed004's Note - I reckon all of them except Kagawa will depart and hope they all do excluding Hernandez. Would like to see Rooney sold but can't see who would buy him and pay him his wages. Also doesn't seem to be the type that could adapt to a foreign country}

Ed, I agree. I can't see Rooney leaving simply because I don't think anyone will pay the money for him. And there is no chance of him going abroad. He still hasn't mastered English yet so a foreign language is a definate no no :)

Agree0 Disagree0

When I have said on this page that Ferguson left Moyes a bad hand with the quality of players you have a lot of you have said it wasn't so.
Even the Oracle that is Disney likes to point out that this was a title winning side last year ergo they must be decent players.
I have been trying to reconcile that view with the number of players you expect (or want ) to leave at the season's end. This is work that Ferguson should have started a season or two back

Agree0 Disagree0

If VG comes in I think there's a chance we will see Rooney moving to PSG. If rumours are to be believed; Cavani is on his way and they will be looking to make an emphatic signing. I think him and Ibra would be fantastic together too!

Evra, Vidic, Giggs, Nani, Ando, Young and Ferdinand should move on. Kagawa and Hernandez are possibilities although I hope they stay. Wouldn't mind if Buttner (less so after his recent performances), Fellaini, Welbeck and Cleverley left too but doubt they will.

Agree0 Disagree0

We will be much better next season Puzzled. We have decent players, but we need more. I have been saying this for two years now. We have a good squad, what we need is 3-4 top players to improve the first XI and we need a manager who will inspire/motivate the players, not make them feel like school children.

Agree0 Disagree0

Hoping for Kagawa, Mata, Januzaj and van Persie to be playing in their favorite positions, with Rooney leaving the club. At this point in time, I don't care where he goes.

Chelsea seem to be interested, Arsenal are in desperate need of a striker, and with Cavani and Falcao looking like possible outs, maybe Monaco or Psg would be interested in an overpaid yet high profile payer.

Agree0 Disagree0

Agree with most of those. I hope that Kagawa and Hernandez stick around, especially Kagawa, but I think you might be right about their departures. Have a sneaky feeling Young will stick around although I hope that's not the case. Still think one of Rooney/RVP could be a shock departure.

Agree0 Disagree0

But Disney - you have listed 8 or 9 out and you only want 2 -3 in?

Agree0 Disagree0

Puzzled, 5-6 we need. But 3-4 of them need to be WC players IMO.

Agree0 Disagree0

I'd be happy to see all those players leave except Kagawa.

Maybe Chelsea would still be an option for moving on Rooney?

Agree0 Disagree0

What makes you think Rooney could not adapt to a foreign country? He already went from Liverpool to Manchester?

Agree0 Disagree0

Just for example:

Garay - Shaw - Carvalho - Kroos - Reus - Wilson - Coleman - Adnan

Vidic - Evra - Anderson - Kagawa - Nani - Hernandez - Young - Giggs/Bebe/Kiko

Agree0 Disagree0

I think we will get five new players i'm hoping for Garay-Carvalho-Shaw-Rakitic-Grezmann we need this sort of quality, who ever the new guy is he needs to check my list LOL

Agree0 Disagree0

Kate I agree but I would have Kroos and reus

Agree0 Disagree0

Kroos reus shaw good start will be back in the top 4 next year sell rooney

Agree0 Disagree0

So now Moyes has been rode out of town you want Rooney sold. Good grief.
Entitled to your opinions, but fans!?!

My ideal targets are the same as Kate's, for me they seem more realistic than Kroos and Reus etc

Eds, love the search bar addition but only seems to appear on the blogs page at the moment. Is it going to appear on all the other pages?

Believable0 Unbelievable0

{Ed033's Note - No, the search bar is lower down on the home page and banter page. We're having 'Poll of the Day' on the banner at the top

{ED000's Note - There is a new blog post called Manchester United Key Statistics by MANfromCHESTERunited on the Manchester United Blogs page which you can comment on if you like

I struggle to think of a system where mata, kagawa, RVP, and rooney all fit in doing what they do best in the positions they are most dangerous. Take rooney out the equation and its straight forward. I rate rooney and don't dislike him. But it just doesn't ad up to put 3 quality players each better in there specific roles out of position to try and fit rooney in. And its for that reason alone I would move him on if there was a team that wanted him.
And if it goes the way its looking with van gaal coming in, I don't think he'd be bothered about the deal rooney just signed or how close he is to breaking the goal scoring record. He'd have him out if he sees it as the best for the team.

Agree0 Disagree0

I completely agree with
Eds theory. I have mentioned something similar in the past.

That way Kagawa, Rooney, and Mata would be able to be deployed in the same team all interchanging into space with new signing ie. Reus/Griezmann or Januzaj. Leaving Rvp or Hernandez up top.

Then we would need a solid tackling CDM that will be committed to sitting in front of the defence protecting them and to break up counter attacks. His passing range need not be too great as he receives the ball from defence and passes on to one of the attacking 5 to build up a play.

We will have plenty of fluidity, creativity and some pace to be able to play attractive attacking football and scoring plenty goals.

Carvalho, Vidal, Alex Sandro, Costa, Reus. A big ask but I feel splashing out on these 5 players would rejuvenate the club. Also, A lot of posts indicate this need to eradicate all our under performing players, however I believe players play better with better players around them, I also believe depth is a huge factor in a club's success. You see arsenal's small squad ruined their title hopes.
New manager, sell players who won't/haven't ever performed well and watch the progress.
