I would like to shed the lights on our youth system for a second . Apparently we are into the small good with the ball xavi/iniesta/scholes technical players . Morrison, cole, petrucci, daehli, januzaj and van velzen ...( more recently perreira ) . The one that looked the most talented of the lot ( elderly ) apart from morrison is cole . Around 5"5, top notch dribbler nd passer he looked like he was gona make the step up from the academy to the reserves . But its weird cause i havent heard a lot of him since last year . so eds/ sydney i would appreciate some info . the kid really impressed me last year .
Another question : are we producing some physically imposant and physical midfielders apart from ryan tunicliffe ? It would be a shame if we didnt because in order to really dominate their should be some massive steel in the midfield ( look at chelsea vs barca when lampard essien and ballack bullied the midfield .

I think that is something that we can really hope for, not saying it will happen, and it would cost about 75 million, but with sales and the budget that we already have, i don't think its the most unrealistic thing ever.

There seems quite a few a few on here wanting to replace Evra,ok he's form hasn't been that great but I would say right back is more of a problem, Da Silva is disaster waiting to happen most games still booked for diving in, stupid shirt pull backs&even after the sending off vs Bayern&penalty vs City in League cup semi a few seasons back still doesn't learn or just isn't listening if being told in training,Smalling/jones do good job but neither want play there it jus helps giving them games, Can see a right back,Centre midfield who has abilty to open teams up&can also chips in with a few goals every season&there will be a new forward to replace Berba! Can put all names up but its fergie&he will sign who we don't expect

Our summer signings are going to come from within the League, i'm pretty sure of that. And i think that 3 signings are going to be made - NO LEFT BACK :(
We are going to have around £60 million to spend plus sales, but we are going in for a massive deal with Spurs. £60 million bids will go in for Bale + Modric, added that that deal will be Berbatov and Young. This may surprise you that Young will leave after just a season but SAF has realised he isn't good enough.
The other player will be Rodwell to repalce Fletcher.

im not basing this on anything but i wouldnt be suprised if we see our summer signings agreed by the end of may like we saw when fergie signed nani,anderson and hargreaves,i think fergie will want any potential signings done before the euro's and before other clubs get a sniff of who were interested in.

I watched Modric and Bale yesterday against Stoke, and they both looked fantastic. I was so impressed, especially with Bale. Whilst many on here think that Hazard is the likely signing for us, i think SAF will pursue Modric, he seems to be the number one target. I think that Spurs have done the same as what we did with Ronaldo, ask him for one more season and then let him leave.
Modric would complete our midfield, if Pogba stays. We'd have good options then. Obviously more work would need to be done in the next couple of years, but as it stands, i think we are doing well.
Modric also would fit in with the philosophy of keeping the ball and moving it quickly. We can spend the majority of the budget on him and maybe include Berbatov in the deal. Other than Modric a couple of positions need immediate attention, the main one being the left back spot obviously. I really hope Barca go for other targets which will enable us to get Jordi Alba who i think will be the best left back in the world very soon at the right club.
I'd also like a new striker, but to be honest i'd love to see Macheda get a chance, we were all very excited about him at one point. Yes he may have dipped off of the radar, but he has the ability there is no doubt about it. Give him six months, if he flops then get rid, but give the boy a chance. Regardless of what Macheda does, i expect to see either Erick Torres or Angelo Henriquez here within the next year/year and a half. We will probably sign one of them in January and loan them back till the rest of the season.
Other than that i think many positions are well stocked for a year or two - we can be pretty happy with the options that we have!
