Personally I feel Gundogan is Real Madrid bound. I think Koke is Barcelona bound so that leaves Herrera which the editor has told us not to rule out another MU bid this January happening. I would say out of the three Herrera is the obvious signing in all likeliness, but will David Moyes decide that if Herrera is going to cost an arm and a leg, that perhaps it may be worth paying an arm and a leg for Barkley? I would say Herrera is the most likely this January or summer, but I wouldn't discount Barkley. Barkley and Coentrao would be two very good signings IMO. Watching the likes of Powell, Adnan and Barkley next season could be exactly what we have been missing for a while. Watching youth turn into gems before our very eyes. Such a shame Ravel pushed his luck.

I don't think it would be fair to pin our midfield hopes on young Barkley.

If Gundogan or Koke are beyond our reach then another name we should look at i'd Mirelam Pjanic.

To be fair we shouldn't have bought Fellaini, we should have signed Barkley instead. I would rather pay what Pjanic would cost to buy Barkley. Barkley will be better than Pjanic soon enough.

Agree0 Disagree0

I do like Barkley but after few initial good games his performances have gone quiet in the last few games.

Agree0 Disagree0

I like Barkley reminds me of Robson but I would class him as one for the future

Agree0 Disagree0

Jred, I would agree with that, but waiting until he's ready will probably cost us more and European clubs may want to get in on the action like they did with Bale. I think Moyes will be wishing he spent the £27.5m on Barkley in hindsight.

I have a question about a name I haven't heard in a while if any eds or others are around with information. I remember a certain 18 year old, Mats Daehli bein touted around as being special and an upcoming talent. To my understanding he was in our academy at one point, but now he plays for Molde.
Does anyone know whaat his situation is, is he progressing well? Do we have any ownership of him if he was indeed in our academy at some point in the past, if not is there any discussion of him moving to another club? Really i'm just curious if there is any news at all. Thanks

Daniel

Daehli leaving was a shock, not just to us fans but to some of his fellow team mates too. Not sure exactly why he left, but there have been some murmurings about homesickness. I understand that there is some sort of buyback option, but not sure what the details are. After watching Adnan this season I would not rule out Daehli one day returning, but the move does seem to be working out well for him. He is developing well and if that continues then why wouldn't he rejoin us and go straight into the first team squad. let's wait and see, but I think we may see him again in the future, just an opinion.

Agree0 Disagree0

Daehli in a recent interview admired the way Januzaj has got into our first team and impressed everyone.

Agree0 Disagree0

Mats just got some minutes for the Norwegian national team, and has impressed (considering his age and game time), and judging by myself, he is one of the most exciting Norwegian talents I have seen for a while. Very disappointed to see him going to Molde, cause the "Tippeliga" is at a very low level. I think we will se him at another league soon, maybe in the summer.

Agree0 Disagree0

He only signed a three year deal at molde, there is hope rather than fact that there might be some sort of buyback or first option but I wouldn't count on it

What do you guys think of Anderson's comments? I personally have always rated they guy and feel that his injuries and lack of game time have hampered his performance. His weight gain was also due to being on the sidelines injured for months at end. No excuses though, an athlete in his prime years should always be considering his weight, injured or not. I feel he still has something to offer the team and now that Carrick is injured I feel he should be given a chance. With a constant run of games I think we can see him return to to his full potential. He has the ability to drive forward with the ball and has the vision for those clever passes to unlock defences. What do you guys think?

I rate Anderson. It would be good to loan him out for the rest of the season to Fulham or similar and see how he gets on?.

Wow Ronaldo has 66 goals in 2013 while Messi and Ribery together only have 65. That may be 69 now for Ronaldo after the Portugal game, not sure!
