For a supposed 63 year old man, you are one immature little child. Nobody outside of Manchester cares about the derby? LOL Are you serious? And the FA Cup final is the biggest match in the world? LOL Tel get back on those tablets of yours.

City to their credit are not a diving shower of referee-manipulating cheats. They are a sporting team, despite buying their success. Most genuine football fans want them to win it including me

i agree with red man. The only successor is Jose. Its far too soon for someone like Lambert or Rodgers. It has to be Jose. Anything else is second best.

Sydney my old oppo i can always depend on you to defend the Glazers with comments like we almost signed and we were going to sign. What you didn't say was we didn't sign and we weren't prepared to pay. You told us to wait and see last summer and we waited and we waited. Did we get the world class midfielder that everyone on this site new we needed. NO! You can no tell me we are nearer to winning the Champions league than we were a few seasons ago. We used to have a forward line of Ronaldo Rooney Tevez . It scared everyone in Europe. Two of them have gone we still haven't spent all the money we got for one of them yet you still insist on saying everything is ok. We have been knocked out of every cup competition we have entered this year Humiliated at Old Trafford by City and Blackburn. I feel Sir Alex is working with his hands tied as those leaches bleed us dry and yet you still defend them. i just don't get it. I know a lot of people think I go on and on about the Glazers but maybe just maybe I am the one who can see what they are doing to our beloved club and I see the big picture and don't just keep quiet because Sir Alex works a miracle and wins the league. If any of you seriously believe that the Glazers are at United for any other reason than to use it as their own private piggy bank to take and take from then we have no chance. If one person can show me some investment from them then I will back down but every single year they have taken out far more than they have put in. Let me say right now I respect Sydney's opinions about United and especially the Youth as I know like me he believes that United have always been about youth but I just don't get his defence of these parasites. i will gladly take all the stick in the world from most of you if it just makes some of you think and take an interest in what our owners are actually up to. Remember they don't own us. I AM KLOOT

im sick of people on here saying lets go for kagawa he'd be a cheaper option than modric or hazarrd etc,we are manchester utd the richest club in the land why would we go for a cheaper option if sir alex sees a talented player he'll pay what it takes to get them so stop linking us with all these second rate players i.e cabaye, sigurrdson holliet, yes they may be talented but they have only done it for one season for god sakes.
right on a personal note i would like to see 2 players signed a world class midfielder, not a creative oe as we have plenty im not sure why people keep saying we need creative midfielders we score the most goals in the league and create the must chances,in my opinion we need a roy keane a classis box to box midfielder somebody like khedira or de rossi i know he'll be hard to get but a midfield hard man is whats needed, and a quality forward to easse the load of wazza maybe a hazard or robben just somebody who can make that bit of magic from nothing.rant over.

I would like to suggest something to the Liverpool fans, they are always moaning about our fans not being good. They're the best and all that. I'd like to make a suggestion, instead of 'We'll never walk alone', well, how about 'we'll never win again'? That would seem apt considering their recent form!

This is in response to Red Man suggesting further down the page that we need a vastly experienced coach.

_____________________________________

Every player knows what it means to play for United and every player knows what it means to play against United. I put it to you that the ethos of the club, and the winning mentality does not simply come from SAF but from the club itself and it's history.

My point is, in attemping to fill unfillable shoes - you can only fail. Therefore, why not try a different tact. I think Lambert is exactly the sort of person who could grow into everything that SAF is today. He is possibly THE most sensible manager in the league, and regardless of the situation never forgets the important basics of football, an managing a football team.

Watching Norwich this season (rather closely as half of my family are Canaries, so I get up to Carrow Road a lot of the time) I can see that Lambert gets everything out of all of his players every time they go on the pitch..

Is this not very similar to the way SAF works?

Even thou wasn't the greatest yesterday I'm still confident of gettin a result vs City,they have the pressure of having to win&Mancini under pressure as always jumped back to the defensive midfielders&negative, I expect fergie to add giggs in there as more of the midfield/attack floating roll to add the experience&calmness with Scholes,jus one thing I hope there's no da silva not good enough&always liable to do the stupid thing as never learns!get smalling instead,.....we've been here many a time,take notice of all the silly hype&crap that the press will try to build,we have a lot of champions in our squad&they know what needs to be done!..as always leave the nonsense to City {Ed004's Note - Omg one bad game and everyone is calling for Rafaels head, talk about fickle fans. So where was all this hate for Rooney went he went a few game were his passing was abysmal and he wasn't playing to his high standards and getting subbed vs the likes of Wigan? Rafael is young and will only get better. One bad game in which most expect him to be out jumping people atleast a head height bigger than him}

Our Central Midfield should be written on top, FRAGILE!
They're easily taken off position every time we play against 5 in Mid or against physically stronger than us like Fellaini did.

We really a muscle in our team, somebody with a great athletic composition and good stamina. We have a good passers indeed but when comes to defend we lack alot.

-----------------------------------------------------
About the game City VS United, I have a good feeling that we'll win the game, we just need to be capable to maintain the ball possession and focus in our game.
Mancini is already checking and SAF works better under pressure than him.

I don't agree with many opinions here saying that even if we loose they still have to play at St. Jame's Park but we can't rely our destiny in other people hands. Lets play the game first and then look for options if, only if. We can't loose the game before we play and City has a strong Squad but they are not the same team that started the season and Derby is always full of surprises but won't such a surprise if we beat them and we'll.

The LB we are after is Aly Cissokho. Fabio is going on loan to Portgual (can't remember which team may be Sporting Lisbon?). I've personally never been that impressed with Cissokho when I've seen him play but he is young and has loads of potential. Let's be honest anything is better than Evra at the moment, his tracking back and general defending is suspect at the best of times. We should have gone for Jose Enrique when we had the chance!

Just a quick question to the people on here. Would they like to see a lw winger bought such as Gaitan, Rodriquez or Hazard and Nani sold to fund it. Or would they prefer to see Nani start more on the LW. I think he is just as consistent as all of them and he is the only one proven in the Premiership. He also is apparently a key figure in the changing rooms and I have never heard of any complaint about his attitude and he is a hard worker by the looks of it. He is a lot more dangerous on the LW and isn't as one footed and one dimensional as Young. He has the ability to take his player down the line or cut in leaving room for the over lap. I truly believe he continues to improve more and more as the seasons commences and scores and assists frequently and if he is having an off game we always have Young on the bench. We tbh have very few game changers and he is one of them
The Red Manc.
p.s simply put, would you buy a replacement for Nani to play LW or would you play Nani there.

Its been announced that the referee for Monday's 'Title Decider' is none other than Andre Marriner. I have to say this news concerns me greatly not because I think he may be biased, because I don't, but quite simply because IMO he is the single worst referee in the Premier League. With this guy in charge I would say it is guaranteed that we will see atleast 1 red card and a fair few questionable decisions. The guy has had a poor season in the middle and has been rewarded for it by being given the biggest game of the season.

I know that a lot of Plastic Scousers read this page because they are obsessed with our club but I wonder how they feel knowing that the biggest game in world football takes place next week and it is all about Manchester. We had a Merseyside semi final last week and frankly no one cared. This is the most important game of the year and it is between the Greatest club in the world and the Richest club in the world both based in Manchester. If only idiots like Blaire had been born when Liverpool were actually winning things. I AM KLOOT

I wonder how many of you remember when everyone was talking about Ross Berkley and Jack Rodwell that the player I said we should be looking at was Fellini who absolutely bullied our defence and midfield yesterday. In all tests done at Everton he has come out as the fittest physically and mentally. He is still only young and could be moulded into a really good player. He lives in Manchester and would jump at the chance to play for us. I AM KLOOT

Well where do i begin. Lets start with my favourite subject the Glazers. Those of you looking for a stella signing in the summer better not hold your breath. Sir Alex has been told to get rid of all the high earners (Rooney is the one exception that Sir Alex had to beg for) All others are being let go and replaced by you on far far less wages. Anyone who now joins the club will be decided on what wages they expect. The impression will be given that the club is going with youth and developing players but the truth will be dictated by youth. Any youth players who do not accept what United are offering will be gone (Pogba is realising this). Second bit of info is that person from the FA with the dyed black hair from Sheffield, i think he may be called Richardson was mouthing off to anyone who would listen in the directors boardroom at Old Trafford yesterday that goal line technology was definitely going to happen and there would be big changes to refereeing in this country. Just watching the reserves and there are a few shining stars. 3-0 againt Chelsea, with Tunners, Cole and Keane getting the goals.
Petrucci looks very dangerous and ready for the step up to the first team.
Keane is as always so comfortable on the ball, would like to see how he reponds with a crowd behind him.
Cole looks very lively out on the right, making some good runs and good composure with the ball at his feet. He is just a little too eager sometimes getting caught offside a few times when doesn't need to be.
Tunners spent the first 35mins just floating between midfield and defence sweeping up any danger from the chelsea lads, one time he went missing was the only time chelsea threatened.

All in all a good showing from the lads. Things look bright for the future.

Hi Guys,

Well Well I nearly had the Champagne ordered at 4-2, but now look at it.

I always thought the team selection and positions against Blackburn on New Years Eve would be the game we would look at as being where we lost it, but given our fight back through January, February and March, we seemed to put the effort in to not make that matter as much.

Is it now the Wigan game that will be the one where we might have lost it. No Scholes not even on the bench with Villa to come at home. We were 8 pts clear going in to that game, the loss gave City back the belief. They were probably targeting the Sunderland game as a potential banana skin for dropping the 2 pts needed to be back in the game, but have now got the bonus of yesterday.

It now looks as if the Etihad is the decider, the same way in which Old Trafford against Chelsea was the decider last year. We were 3 pts clear going in to that game as well. An Hernandez goal after 36 seconds next week would be a nice start again. Although it will not be a night where the Champions are crowned, you can more or less say the winners will win it. Just hope its us.

The season has by and large been a disappointment for us even if we win it, but would be nice sugar on top of the disappointment I admit. We have kept the pressure on City, when in all reality with the collapse of Spurs it should really have been a cake walk for them with the investment they have had over the past four seasons. Liverpool winning the FA cup and Chelsea winning the CL would probably be the cherry on the icing for the ABU brigade, but we have got over dark days before.

In terms of investment in the squad could a real stinkbomb scenario as described in the last paragraph, jettison the Glazers in to some serious decision making. They got a stay of execution again last year with the 19th title and only spent the prize money on Jones, Young and DeGea, freeing up the wages of VDS, Hargreaves, Half a year of Ginge's and Gary Nevilles in the process. Anyway we'll see.

3 game season now starts a week tonight. All hands to the pumps lads and lasses

Having supported Manchester United over the years, i am disappointed but not surprised we drew the game at the weekend. We love making it difficult for ourselves! I would not be amazed if we lose 1-0 to city then hammer Swansea and Sunderland to win on goal difference! Looking forward to Monday night. Smalling at RB is a must for me, along with 3 in midfield be it Jones or Cleverly.

I don't know about anyone else but I'm glad in away that the pressure is on again, cause we play better when under pressure as we know what needs to be done. but we can't hide the fact that our team is poor regardless of us being 3 points clear, our players arnt really up to the standard we've gone back in terms of football standards our
Midfield is slow and lacks creativity, there's no attacking emphasis, and some players just don't put 100% into games, why people constantly say nani is amazing is
Confusing he's the most inconsistent player in our team, he scored an great goal then a few minutes later could have played a simple ball and welbeck would have been in then goes with his foot instead of his head for rafeal cross, he's poor and for
His age should be doing better! Rio is passed it, to slow and
Constantly tried to be cocky with his passes rather than keeping it simple and that was proven yesterday when he gave the ball to Everton and they scored! carrick is boring always passes back and hardly goes past the half way line, Scholes has been great but this will be his last, giggs passed it last year, and evra well he speaks for himself most goals we concede are from his side, doesn't get tight cant tackle and when he goes forward he's always 2 yards away from the ball! we clearly need to buy but fergie still insists that our team is good enough, we got knocked out the champions LEAUGE, fa cup and LEAUGE cup by teams we should have beaten, fergie can take blame
Aswell with his tactics, last 3 gamers
Blackburn, qpr and villa young has been amazing one of our inform played yet he drops him for nani who still lacks
Fitness and can't play on the left, we need at least 4 playes
Out and striker
Two centre midfielders
Left back
A left footed left winger

barca are beatable when they play 4-3-3 but are unbeatable when they play 4-3-3-referees. So a goal down and playing at home expect barca to get some favorable decisions going there way.
