Clear penalty for Sweden and the ref missed it.
If only there was something set up to deal with this sort of thing.

"Football is a simple game; 22 men chase a ball for 90 minutes and in the end, the Germans always win. ".

21. If Boateng has stayed on Germany wouldn’t have won. He was bloody awful and shouldn’t be allowed anywhere near Old Trafford unless visiting the museum.

Be warned. Bayern never sell decent players. They can see he’s two busy counting his shoes!

Agree1 Disagree0

{Ed033's Note - two busy because he's got two shoes?

24 Jun 2018 01:33:57
Too left feet that are rarely seen put right! Awful display from a professional player at that level. i hope we have no intrest in buying him.

“Too” sorry. Commentator said he has 650 pairs.

So Solid Kroos.

With 21 seconds to go, he nabbed the win.

Germans looking good to get to next stage.
Kroos was at fault for the goal against them but showed his class. He is a magnificent footballer.

Believable3 Unbelievable0

23 Jun 2018 21:01:59
I'm half Swedish, was hoping for a draw. Thought the Swedes should have had a penalty in the 1st half. Typical Germans, they were given all the free kicks possible to get back into it.

Agree1 Disagree2

23 Jun 2018 21:02:36
Would pay huge money to bring him here. He’s a fantastic player, his ability on the ball is outrageous. Best passer in world football for me.

Agree3 Disagree0

23 Jun 2018 21:04:45
What a cracking game. Agreed Kenneth he is a wonderful footballer and that free kick was right in the top bins. Been really unimpressed with Germany they look very leggy and slow. This is an open World Cup as I can ever remember. Been brilliant.

23 Jun 2018 21:05:42
He’s So Solid, Kroos.

Agree2 Disagree0

23 Jun 2018 21:09:20
I think for a man who has no pace, better suited to a 3 in midfield than a 2 and a creaky defense behind him he played great after his error for the Sweden goal, cometh the hour, that was a Beckham v Greece momment.

Agree3 Disagree0

23 Jun 2018 23:56:29
I rate moderic a better midfielder that Kroos. He is just something else, the one that got away.

Agree2 Disagree1

24 Jun 2018 04:51:05
A lot of people think that DB but as a pair they are fantastic.
Kroos makes and completes more passes makes more tackles and has more goals And assists than modric but both are very influential.
Kroos is the pass master and a player that has won 4 cl in 6 years a world cup, league titles and domestic cups in both Germany and Spain. He is as close to a perfect midfielder as there is in world football today imo.

Agree3 Disagree2

{Ed001's Note - a perfect midfielder would have defensive awareness and workrate. Kroos is far from perfect, he does very little to help the team defensively.}

24 Jun 2018 08:12:04
I disagree ed. Obviously not his core strength but he does more than a lot of players of his ilk.
But if he is complimented with a player that sits behind him it works great.
Very few players have everything in their locker it about the blend.
Im not sure modric does anymore defensively or iniesta for example but they do enough to support their no6 when required.

Agree3 Disagree2

{Ed001's Note - both of those two press, Kroos does not and does not get back nor does he position himself well defensively. Saying he does more than others is meaningless. He is still nowhere near the level of a great passer like Alonso, without the ability to protect the defence as well. Kroos lacks mobility and effort and makes silly errors which give up chances far too often.}

24 Jun 2018 09:11:20
I think alonso was great but nowhere near as good as kroos. I know which i'd rather in my team. Both have great records for sure and 1 thing is for sure that their clubs always play better when they are in the team.

23 Jun 2018 19:58:00
Germans could be going out, how bad are they at the back awful boateng just put in the worse performance of the tournament.

Gutted, poor at the back tho which is nice to see.

Korea Mexico another good game.
I would say Lozano is having a good game but don't want to upset the locals again 😉.

Believable3 Unbelievable0

23 Jun 2018 17:32:16
We should never of let Hernandez leave our great club . He is such a natural born striker . 😆😆.

Agree3 Disagree0

23 Jun 2018 17:41:30
Nice guy Hernandez, scruffy striker, even his goal today was a miss-hit - constantly offside as well in the past. He lost that yard that made him special pretty early on into his Utd career, we sold at the right time (I'd have sold earlier for more dosh) .

Agree3 Disagree1

23 Jun 2018 17:49:26
Lozano looks excellent and his decision making is very good. Buy him Mourinho.

Agree2 Disagree2

23 Jun 2018 18:57:50
Wouldn't be against signing lozano. But where would he fit in? Plays mostly on the left. Might cause martial to have a complete hissy fit.

Agree2 Disagree1

23 Jun 2018 19:25:12
How would we know if he did Mort? He’d have to hold an emoji up.

Agree0 Disagree0

23 Jun 2018 19:39:58
Mort really? Look good last 2 games but apart from that I've never seen him play.

Agree0 Disagree0

23 Jun 2018 21:07:34
Lozano is very highly rated and city have been interested. Scored a lot of goals this year and has looked really good this World Cup. Wouldn’t mind him at united but we are well stocked on the left. Need to be focusing on the areas we need.

Agree2 Disagree1

23 Jun 2018 21:49:41
Park I have only seen him in the WC .
17 goals in the Dutch league?
2 good games in the WC tho, looked good.

Agree0 Disagree0

23 Jun 2018 23:00:37
True jred the Dutch league isn’t the hardest. Depay banged 25 before he joined us. It is a hit and miss league really. You either get Van Nistelrooy or depay. Lozano looks very talented though and there are reports Barcelona are interested. I personally don’t think we need him though as he plays predominantly left. Much rather see a right winger come in.

Agree0 Disagree0

24 Jun 2018 01:46:59
Park
I don't watch a lot of Dutch footy, looks like he has something from the 2 games I've seen

Experts on the site will of seen more than me.

Agree0 Disagree0

24 Jun 2018 09:08:35
He's done well over in Holland. I've only caught a couple of games but guy I know watches a lot if Dutch football and he raves about him. Talented lad who will go far. Can certainly see him at a big Spanish club one day. But as he plays on the left an we already have Sanchez, Rashford and Martial I can't see us signing him unless Rashford moves upfront and Martial departs.

Agree0 Disagree0

24 Jun 2018 09:33:45
Mort does he look better than repay did.

Agree0 Disagree0

24 Jun 2018 14:14:35
He's got more work effort than Memphis and seems more switch on upstairs. So on that side of things yes. We were told it was a year too early for Memphis.

Agree0 Disagree0

23 Jun 2018 14:19:31
Feed the Rom and the Rom will score. Needs to get more service so he can score even more next season, also had a very good conversion rate in his first season here. Read he was getting just over 2 chances per game whereas Aguero and Kane were getting around 6. Also, anyone else just see Alderweirelds ball to Hazard for the fourth goal? Wow.

Believable2 Unbelievable0

23 Jun 2018 15:00:22
Wish they had kept him on, could have had 5 or 6 the amount of chances Michy Mouse had.

Agree2 Disagree0

23 Jun 2018 15:24:19
Yeh, would have been on around 7/ 8 tournament goals if he stayed on, winner of the golden boot. Think he or Costa will get it anyway.

Agree0 Disagree0

23 Jun 2018 16:40:37
Cant believe Martinez took him off when he's on a hat trick against one of the worst defences in the contest. And puts on that donkey on his place.

Agree0 Disagree0

23 Jun 2018 16:57:48
Mort he limped off, good call by the manager.

Agree0 Disagree0

23 Jun 2018 17:15:51
Game already won, no need to risk him aggravating his knock.

23 Jun 2018 18:58:52
Fair enough then was pottering around at that point.

23 Jun 2018 13:59:58
Lukaku’s looking really up for it today. His development has been brilliant this season and his potential is still huge. Belgian are playing to his strengths and using his pace and power by playing balls behind. We have used him as a target man far too often and it is such a waste. Get him running behind the defence because he has the power and strength to trouble any defender. I put money on him being top scorer and hope he does it. Nobody deserves it more than him.

Believable2 Unbelievable0

23 Jun 2018 13:50:55
Lukaku really looking the part could of had a couple more .
17 goals in his last 10 and a half games for Belgium.

Believable2 Unbelievable0

{Ed004's Note - That's what happens when he gets a good supply from his team mates}

23 Jun 2018 14:09:56
Must admit I haven't been his biggest fan but he looks class in this Belgian team; finishing beautifully. For us how often did he make good runs that were totally ignored and we repeatedly stopped and passed side or back. coupled with the fact no one wants to/ can cross a ball or whip a good dead ball in.

Helps to have two world class playmakers like Kdb and hazard in the same team, superb.

Agree0 Disagree0

23 Jun 2018 15:04:02
Still only 25 as well should get better and better.

Agree1 Disagree0

23 Jun 2018 15:15:23
Lukaku was my player of the year last season for us. He’s really surprised me and very impressed. Get some more supply he can get 35+ goals next year.

Agree1 Disagree0

23 Jun 2018 15:43:15
I never understood why some of our fans don't like Lukaku. He's had an excellent season for us. And if the supply is better, then he'll score a load more.
Someone mentioned Shaqiri the other day, if Mourinho has limited funds, then I'll be delighted if we buy him.

Agree2 Disagree2

23 Jun 2018 16:32:06
Shaqiri isn't anywhere near good enough.

Agree3 Disagree2

23 Jun 2018 16:40:54

Agree0 Disagree0

23 Jun 2018 16:51:38
Mort
What's your thought on dalot, is he anywhere near good enough?

Agree0 Disagree1

23 Jun 2018 19:21:05
Dalot was signed for his potential how about giving the lad his chance.

Shaqiri went to Bayern, flopped. Went to Inter, flopped. Went to stoke and never set the world on fire. What makes him good enough to be at United?

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed0333's Note - because if you sign him we can’t

23 Jun 2018 19:33:04
Mort
Until he plays for United we will never know .
Decent player imo which is probably why Munich bought him .
Don't think he is a big enough name for a few.
But if we got linked to him he would be just what we need.

Agree0 Disagree0

23 Jun 2018 12:48:57
The rumours mill seems to have dried up a bit on United's part. Not that I'm complaining. Just wondering if the eds think there will be any arrivals before the end of the word cup? Thanks as always.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

{Ed001's Note - it is impossible to do any more than guess with regard to timing.}

23 Jun 2018 13:42:06
Any players we are looking at ed1? Except the usual names like Alderweireld, Milinkovic-Savic, and so on.

Thanks.

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed001's Note - off the top of my head I can't think of anyone that hasn't been mentioned.}

23 Jun 2018 13:47:34
Thanks anyways ed1.

Agree0 Disagree0

23 Jun 2018 17:05:04
Thanks Ed01. Is Sandro still a primary target or have we stepped back from him.

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed001's Note - I believe he still is yes.}

23 Jun 2018 11:43:39
if one really thinks of a back up striker with similar attributes as Lukaku than, Russia Striker Artem Zyuba is a good option. guy is strong, good in the air, holds the ball up. only variance I feel is pace.

Believable0 Unbelievable2

23 Jun 2018 11:53:58
Do we really need a back up to lukaku if as mourinho says he is one of his untouchables who are never going to get dropped?

Add in the fact we have rashford, martial and sanchez to play up front if he need arises, doesn't make sense to me.

More than likely mourinho is afraid of losing fellaini and wants a big man we can lump balls up to if we are chasing a game.

We can't but every player that has a half decent game in the world cup.

We don’t need a back up - just a decent right sided forward.
