This is a question for everyone to gauge what we would like to happen in the summer. This isn't what I want to happen by the way.

How would everyone feel if we signed a top striker like Higuain, Benzema, Cavani, Llorente etc and a top left back but didn't sign a central midfielder? Would you be happy with the fact we have added an outstanding striker and addressed the left back issues but we haven't looked a midfield or would you prefer only a central midfielder and not much else?

I don't get all this llorente business...
Yes he had 1 and half good games against us
Yes he's scored 20+ goals this season.

If he's that good why weren't we crying out for him in the summer?

If Danny murphy has a cracking game against us on Monday are we gonna want to sign him.

The same goes for other players too
It just appears that most of you want us to sign the flavour of the month.

Another one is junior hoilet since when has he been united class the only way I'd want him at our club is on a free and sell him for a profit the summer after.

An old saying - "Mediocrity will always try to drag excellence down to its level. Don't trade your superiority for their inferiority."

So there you are, let's not react to the Liverpool fans on here.

I'm sorry Vieira but us bringing back Paul Scholes out of desperation?! Even though the main factor for Paul coming back was his personal feelings that he missed it too much. SAF then said exactly what i thought was obvious! Carlos Tevez... If a player has refused to play for your club then takes a 5 month holiday, is bringing him back not a huge sign of weakness and fear? Just thought i'd share City humiliating themselves with y'all!

In the summer we should buy:

Cristian Tello, Iker Munian, Javi Martinez, Gaston Ramirez, Luuk De Jong

Fresh from the Livertool site, never heard such rubbish

I guess the scholes comment wasnt the only funny thing coming out of the etihad,

Nasri - We knew we could win the title from the opening day of the season.

But guess what, at the opening day of the season, he was still at Arsenal.
i hope it was had beating the team they used to support

This is wat viera said about scholes a few years ago: Patrick Vieira: "The player in the Premiership I admire most? Easy - Scholes." so now hes basically saying man Utd are weak for bringing back in his opinion the best premier league player ever. Wat a fool. Djay

If i was Mancini i would be furious with Viera, if Viera would of said it when Scholes first came back when City had breathing space then it might of worked.

You don't try and anger Fergie when it's this close.

Either Tevez or Scholes will decide the outcome of the title race tbh.

The though of Gaitan playing for us is very exciting i think, it doesn't seem it. But i think he would wear the shirt with pride, and offer a lot of south american technique to the squad.

Some of his passes and goals are sublime, and if we can get him for £22 million, which i think is a fair evaluation, then i'd be very happy. Hopefully we can add another couple of players. Maybe Martinez, Cissokho or Alba as well as some youngsters.

Viera was about as wise to accuse United of being "desperate" regarding Scholes' returning as he was passing the ball to Giggsy at Villa Park in '99.

Back then of course, Giggsy had to work hard to score after Patrick's lovely pass.
Today, Sir Alex was presented with an open goal, courtesy of good old Patrick again, when he just had to mention City's returning traitor, who not so long ago, according to their "principled" manager, stated it would be "impossible" for him, (who preferred golf rather than helping his team mates and supporters) to play for City again.

So you think it's wise to mix it with Sir Alex, do ya City?

Oh dear, they have alot of money to blow, but you can't believe how dumb these people are.

You have to laugh at the Daily Mirror, they have gone with the headline:

"Furious Fergie hits back at Man City's Scholes jibe"

If anyone actually watched the interview he was calm, laughing and was pretty relaxed about it. I guess going with the word "FURIOUS" will sell more papers. Pathetic.

"We took Paul off as he will be involved on Monday," stated Sir Alex. "We want him to stay because we think he's going to be a fantastic Manchester United player. We hope that's the case.

Pogba is in for the game and hopefully in for life at the club...

come on fergie make it so...

Why, oh why do I keep seeing posters picking 'their team' for next season with Jones excluded, Vida a definite starter and Bale at LB.
Jones is a real talent who will be a top class player and a fixture in the team for years to come, provided he remains injury free and wants to stay with us. Although it isn't his natural position I think he is the best RB we currently have, as he has the added advantage of height over The Twins
Vida has had a serious injury in the latter days of his career and very few players at his age fully recover to the form they had before the injury. It would be brilliant if Vida does make a full recovery as he and Rio have provided us with a solid base for our recent success and he was undoubtedly one of the best CBs in the world before his injury. Without Vida we may need to look at the CB situation as the younsters have struggled at times, unless Rio plays alongside them and I think we all know Rio can't play every game.
Bale at LB, I can't remember too many people raving about his defensive play, last year he played there against us at WHL and was exposed. This season I don't think he has played at LB for Spurs, he has played as a midfielder, covering various positions. We currently have a LB who can't defend and likes to push forward, why would we want another one, when the vast majority of the goals we concede come from the opposition exploiting that weakness. Without the solid base of VDS / Rio / Vida and the transition we are going through we are having to defend more, so let's go with a LB who can actually defend.
So for me, Jones a definite starter, Vida back to top form (fingers crossed) is a starter, as for Bale at LB, a definite NO.
