I know i might get some slating for this but i was just think about David Alaba after the game, He is young (19) Very good, can play in a multitude of positions including central midfielder, right and left winger and even played games at left back, The bayern coach has been impressed with his versatility and admits LB looks like his best position, Do you guys think Bayern would be willing to sell and is he United Quality? {Ed004's Note - Can't see Bayern selling and he was fantastic tonight. Extremely good...}

Over 'the moon' ahah;), that it isn't an El classico (if barca would of gone through of course), I think if it would of been them two the final would be ruined, although I hate germany, and german clubs for some reason! I have to applaud Bayern they played brilliantly and deserved It on their own soil to! Hope chelsea win though to spear head england into our big summer! Anyway what about a bid for tony kroos played well tonight calm on the ball and picks the right pass, also for the ongoing LB situation what about a bid for Marcelo? Great at going forward, brilliant in fact and decent at defending, (shed load better than evra anyway)

On current form Ronaldo must be the worlds best player.The top players rise to the big occasion.Messi failed to shine against Chelsea now look what Ronnie is doing to Bayern Munich and there was me thiking German sides were good defensively.

Don't know if anyone noticed , Andreas Pereira made his accademy debut today,away at Sheffield Wednesday,however the game was abandoned due to heavy rain with the score 0-0.

I hope that Madrid win tonight, i think they will win the CL, La Liga and Ronaldo will get the Pinchici and maybe the Balon'd'Or. I hope this is the case, it will make Ronaldo easier to get back home! Id Madrid win everything, i think CR7 will be back home at Old Trafford in 2 years.

Would anyone be happy if we spent nothing or very little and promoted from within?

Sir Alex has done it before............
Ince, Kanchelskis, Hughes ect. all sold to bring in the Youth.

I have a feeling we won't be spending huge sums of money in the summer.

Obviously most players will get loaned first for experience.

The famous kid's we'll win nothing with ;-)

Scholes, Beckham, G.Neville, P.Neville, Butt

Also Brown, O'Shea, Fletcher most recently Evans.

With Park, Giggs, Scholes, Evra, Owen maybe Rio all to retire or go to Asia or the U.S for one more pay check.

Plus poor old Fletcher (get well soon)

United have
2 Top DF,MF,CF positions to choose from.
Challenging for honours will probably give room for one in each position.

M.Keane, Fryers, Petrucci, Pogba, W.Keane, King

I for one would like to see some of these players get a fair trial. Pre-Season Tour, Carling Cup, lower league teams in the FA Cup. Maybe European Cup if the last Group game is rubber stamped.

Pogba, Petrucci, Fryers will see game time next season.
Let's hope the other 3 have great loan spells 12/13.

as promised my take on the club

since 2010 i think there has been a change in policy in regards to transfers and the glazers long term plan for the club.
It has been well covered that the glazers are looking to float the club and i think that over the last 2 years the decision has been made to make the club more attractive on the stockmarket i think they have tried to do this by reducing the debt and mainly buying back the bonds.
i think this has been to the detriment of our ability to compete at the top end of the transfer market which is again why it has been well reported that over the last couple of years the club have been looking to youth and potential.

since 2010 the glazers have spent 88m repurchasing the bonds this could of been used for transfers.
on top of that we have paid 84 mill on debt repayments although i think we can claim 20mill back due to tax issues.
that is still 152 mill spent on the debt since 2010 which i think would restrict any team in the world from competing at the top end of the transfer market.

I would also like to say that in a business sense this may be a good idea and that long term it could be good for the club, but as a man united fan i cant help thinking that the 88m would of been better of spent on players.

All of the above is why i dont really buy in to this no value in the market or we tried i think its just an excuses but sounds a lot better than "we have decided to spend more money on the debt than the team"

Hazard will cost 32m stated by Lille.

If Taarabt played in the French league would he be tearing apart defences & looking like his Championship form of last year. He'd cost us 10m and is the same kind of circus act.

Worth a gamble or not? If our summer chest is 50m that leaves us 40m left.

Would love these players

Butland 2m GK B'ham Youth team player (if Amos leaves)

Clyne RWB (capable LB) 2m plus Keane twins on loan

Willems LWB 3m PSV Youth team player send back on loan.

Modric QtrBK-CM 40m or Cabaye 18m (Newc would want 14m profit)

A.Henriquez 3m CF 17yr old Plays for University of Chile.
(United have a deal in place) send him to Belgium or Holland feeder club.

Take a gamble on one of these AM(all would score at least 10 goals)

Taarabt or Gilfy Gudsyyssssssonn 10m.

What about Dempsey 10m (shirt sales in the U.S.A would soar)

The last 3 games just prove IMO that Guardiola is not ready or can't replace SAF because the guy seems to be cracking under pressure just look at his team selections, tactics and press conferences. He's used to so much winning that losing two games in a row made him panic.
I'd rather have Klopp, Van Marwijk, Loew, Blanc, Carlo Ancelloti, Marcelo Bielsa as possible candidates.

I don't like Chelsea at all, but fair play to them. However, whether it's Bayern or Madrid, they will lose the final. No Terry, Ivanovic, Ramires or Meireles. Mikel vs Ozil, Ronaldo and Di Maria OR Robben, Ribery and Kroos doesn't sound good.

Also, who else tried to throw something at the TV when Busquets shouted at Drogba for feigning injury? Irony at it's absolute best.
