With the talk of PSG and the better teams ahead, we should look at our older philosophy, you may score we will score more. Enjoying watching again at last, we conceded a few chances today, but overall still playing great stuff.

Another very enjoyable match today. Think we struggled a little bit during the beginning of the second half. But the substitutions were very positive by ole and we went in search for more goals instead of protecting the one goal lead.

Pogba was fantastic. Can’t remember him scoring a goal like his third in a long time. Matic has been brilliant too. So much better with with movement and attacking options to pass to. Surprisingly has a very good passing range. Thought Fred played some nice forward passes in the first half but looks rusty. Always seems to be not in control of the ball. But we have to remember he has not played many minutes so hopefully he improves with more games under his belt.

8 goals in two games. Much better tempo and intensity. Some nice one touch football. I’m a happy man. Unfortunately Liverpool look to be in the driving seat for the league. Would love spurs to win it. All we can do is concentrate on our games and when they rock up at old Trafford we stop them.

Very enjoyable game, a shame we didn’t finish them off earlier but they came to defend. I think this attacking approach will work better away from home when teams are trying to win. Rashford looks like he has been freed, same for Pogba, if the 2 of them are allowed to continue I think they will blossom.

We do need a commanding CB and I still think we need a midfield general, Herrera is great up to a point and Fred hasn’t settled yet. Imagine a Keane or Scholes in there.

Lindelof looks a much better player than before, Matic scoring shows he has been freed to move forward, and the best part for me was seeing Ole’s face after the Rashford nutmeg and the Dalot miss. He was laughing and clapping, imagine Jose’s reaction in the same situation: hands in the air, shaking head, gesturing to the crowd. All in all a much more Untied approach to the game. Long may it continue.

Fred, a bit funny, he seem to have some talent and I can kind of see him in that box to box midfielder role but it clear to see he has not settled yet, he needs a run of a good few games in a team with a settled defence that allows him to roam about and ease the pressure of him when we're on the back foot.

It's surprisingly quiet. Well, at least the whole team seems to be playing better. Even Pogba. Who'd have thought playing the right system works?

It's great to see. Totally refreshing. We could've had more had we been more clinical with the final ball. But the amount of possession, forward passes, chances is fantastic to see. Need to take the next 6 points and then focus on spurs.

Thank God Jose has gone .
No martial Sanchez or lukaku today a full front 3 out .
Potentially such a good team.

Added to the result is this little gem from the United page.

“United finished the Boxing Day victory over Huddersfield with four academy graduates up front: Angel Gomez, Paul Pogba; Jesse Lingard and Marcus Rashford”

Icing on the cake!

It’s early days of course, looking at where we have been in recent times and what Ole, the staff, the players and supporters have been able to achieve in these two games is almost unbelievable.

Could they have done better in these two games? Not concede any goals possibly but they have still been very convincing wins.

It shows what positivity, the right attitude, teamwork and the right attitude can do.
Long may it continue. On to the Bournmouth game.

He has been our sunshine so far!

Can Ole make himself undroppable?

Mike, I take you point but I’d much rather win 3-1 than 1-0. Let’s attack and try and score, hopefully we’ll score more than them!

Oh I agree, I was trying to say that if we are looking for areas to improve, a 3 - 0 win would be an improvement, making our defence even stingier.
But I will take 3 - 1 any day of the season mate.

First ever post. (BE KIND)

So.

I know it's ridiculously early to speculate but, are we going to beat PSG now then or what?

I can see us doing a number on them at OT and sneaking it at PdP with a draw or a narrow loss due to a Dunca, sorry, Phil Jones own goal.

Also, I got a new job as a carer recently, I've been dealing with rubbishty arses all Christmas Day, and the thought of us achieving relative success in the Champions League is the only thing that blocked the smell.

P.S, I've been reading the threads on this page for a multitude of years, and have always enjoyed the banter from afar.

Merry Christmas EveryReddy.

I think PSG will have too much upfront for us to deal with but hope I’m wrong. At least we will have a go.

I’m full of admiration of your career choice. Hope you have a great Boxing Day.

I think it’s more likely we will improve our League form. If we can generate momentum in the next few games then perhaps the top 4 is still on. That’s a pretty sad thing to say but from a revenue standpoint it will help the new Manager with funds.

I’m not convinced by PSG, they always seem to have a meltdown at some point but their front line does look worryingly slick.

We're one of those teams right now where it is impossible to tell. Maybe in a one off game we can do anything, but over two legs can we perform prove our true level twice? Going to be fun finding out.

One thing for sure, Neymar and Mbappe are not world class defenders so maybe taking the game to them will give us a chance?

better chance now with Ole. if you sit back and defend PSG will create and score. I think there are there to be got at as neither Mbappe or Neymar work back, as long as we don't gift them any goals i think we should go through.
