Wondering what tactic Fergie should play on Saturday?

Agree - a 9-0-1, 10 men behind the ball, a replica of the tactic at Anfield earlier in the season.

or

Disagree - Fegie goes all out attack with a 8-1-1 formation with just 9 men behind the ball!

Dear Mr TK

You posted this on the football page (Lfc page)

"You're nothing but a deluded hypocrite mate. An embarrassing one at that. You come onto the United page and jump down JWalk's throat for what you call "petty insults" and then you make a piss poor attempt at similar on this page. Did your school not allow you back after christmas?"

Now who's the hypocrite mate? Lol

Wow, Liverpool qualify for the Carling Cup final and their fans go net surfing on the United page like they have just won the Premiership. How embarrassing. 16 points behind United, yes that's SIXTEEN points behind after just 22 games and they think they are the bee's knees. They forget that the Carling Cup is a competition that the top club's IE United/Arsenal/Chelsea use to blood their youth. They have quickly forgotten that Birmingham won it last year and was relegated in the same season. It's the Carling Cup final lads, take a step back and realise that, as you are really embarrassing yourselves. Tears in Kenny's eyes, Hansen & Co cuddling each other in the stands, like I said it's pretty embarrassing for a club like yours. So so lame.

Or the same way your defence struggled against Yakubu, Samba etc, TK mate. We could this all night mate, I havn't even mentioned how your defence struggled against Cordoza, Aimar (38) from Benfica. Or Shaquiri and the rest of that magnificent players, that Basle have.

You can see why you struggled against these European Giants, can't you? Lol

With the injuries we have in advanced positions at the moment could anyone else see this as the starting team at the weekend:

Keeper - either as both top quality
Rafael - Smalling - Evans - Evra
Carrick - Giggs
Toni - Rooney - Welbeck
Hernandez/Berb

I think it gives good balance as well as lots of creativity could put fabio/park in LW for welbeck and move him up top but personally prefer Dannys movement over the others available and we have seen him do it from out wide for sunderland last year(yes i know on the right, but he is a pro and has 2 decent feet)

Comments?

I think with Nani out, we could give Bebe a chance to sign, he was brilliant last season.

strange really - you lot keep saying Liverpool live in the past - always harping on about games gone by and yetwhen I voice concerns about Berba all you do is tell me he scored three against us (in the past) surprised really that he isn't the first name on the team sheet

But come on seriously-
goalkeeper - a choice between 2 dodgy ones
fullbacks vera - who has finished and the twins who
seem not to have started
Vidic - passable but injured
Ferdinand - finished
Carrick - on this site he is mainly slated although I
saw one or two recently saying how he
controls things in the middle ???
and the rest ? Scholes and Giggs - retirement
would be kind - they have done their bit
and there is nothing left.
Nani - painful
Ronney - always averawed at Anfield

Looking back over this I feel a little sorry for you and what is going to happen on Saturday

Lads, is it true that Nani is out for 2months?

If so, jesus H.
We are going to struggle terribly in the coming months. Could this be the pin-prick of light at the end of the tunnel suggesting we'll delve into the market?

Or are we more likely to play a 38year old man on one wing, and Valencia on the other, with only Park as a winger in support - Young's injured, I believe.

Could be a terrible few months ahead, but I'm not convinced this is true - does anyone have anything concrete on Nani?

Your posts are getting very boring and predictable, now JWalk. They are just childish and petty insults mate, which are futile.

I'd ask you to post something about football, but I fear you will come back with 'New York Giants, will win the Super Bowl'

'Pathetic' really lol

ps. The Patriots will win the Super Bowl. So please none of your BS, thanks.

Hi ed !

Celtic and man-u fan here.. :p

so many rumours flying around regarding transfers..

2 questions, do you think there will be a signing made in january that will not be "one for the future" ..
and could you name any real signing targets that we have?

cheers ed love the work being done btw {Ed007's Note - Thanks mate. I am starting to think that there won't be a signing this window, I think who AF wanted isn't available but I live in hope. As for names, there are numerous players being watched/tracked constantly, I don't like guessing names.}

what i personally think about the pogba and morrison's saga is that it's just a smoke screen to take away all the pressure from Man utd players as everyone including the media is concentrating about these 2 brilliant talents being allowed out of Man Utd.

I doubt if Sir Alex will ever let these two leave.it has gone as far as man city, chelsea and even arsenal circling around and being distructed by these rumours to even start checking on these two.

it's time for the mind games remember, and you all know who's the master of all that..

We need atleast one signing this window to help facilitate with the injures.

A full back will prevent Jones, Smalling, Valencia etc to play there. That would increase our options at Centre Back.

A CB would similarly help that way, with Jones possibly getting a FB or CM birth.

A Centre Midfielder would allow if needed Cleverley & Park to help in the wings.

A Winger would increase the options on wing (especially when Nani's out for 2 months and Young still injured), Park and Giggs cannot really play there now (better to play a Fabio there)

We don't really need a striker or a keeper.

All these problems could be solved without spending anything by giving Pogba, Morrison, Fryers game-time. I don't know what SAF is doing. If these players have to leave eventually, why not bring in a player then?

I'd rather see Morrison on the wing (even for a brief 60 mins, or a 30min cameo) than see Park or Giggs there.

I'd rather see Pogba in the middle than Park, Rafael(:P) there. I believe this is certainly the right time to give Pogba 20 mins every game. {Ed007's Note - Facilitate??? Word of the day toilet paper sure comes in handy!}

Hi Bond,

Do you reckon that this next week, the window will hot up like the last week of August normally does? And do you reckon we'll have any part in it, either with buying or selling?

Also does anyone know exactly when the window shuts?

thanks

SK

p.s. What are the odds that if we get past Loserpool at the weekend, that we get Spurs, Arsenal or Chelsea away? {Ed007's Note - The window closes at 23.00 on 31st January. I was confident that a player would be brought in, but sadly my confidence is starting to wane a bit now. The whole window has been a bit of a damp squib IMO, hopefully it gathers some pace in the time left.}

That was actually an enjoyable game to watch, which was strange considering the venue. Mancini got his tactics all wrong. Three at the back, the central figure being Savic (!), against an ex-City striker who has a reputation of performing tremendously well against former clubs? Can't understand that. Liverpool deserved the win anyways -- even if it wasn't a penalty -- they've been the better team over both legs. City looked disinterested all night, which was epitomised by Adam Johnson's folded arms as he waited to join the players on the pitch in the second half. I wonder if cracks are beginning to appear in City's framework. Who knows what it could have done to their season had Defoe scored that sitter on Sunday. By the way does anyone know why Mancini has stopped doing pre match press conferences?

After tonight's events, Saturday's game is set up to be a tasty encounter. Liverpool will have momentum on their side and I expect they'll go for it from the first second. But I wonder how they'll cope without Bellamy. I'm not sure his knees will allow him to play three games in eight days? Hopefully Ferdinand will return. Although I don't expect to see Nani or Jones. Valencia will certainly play. And it will be interesting to see how Evra will do. All eyes will be on him.

Matthew...

Ps. Oezil was fantastic tonight. RM would be stupid to let him go. I'm sure he'll stay.
