I do see your point about the style of football Chelsea and inter played but it worked, also Madrid are playing some great stuff at the momen
syd
I do see your point about fergy building a team for the next manager but I think if Jose got the job he would still put his own style on it ,tacticlly I think his the best about
he is arrogant but I think the manager to take over from from fergy has to be,he has to have a big enough personality to think he can do better than fergy

The Madrid president was asked at the start of the season if this was mourinho last season at the club his answear was "who knows, everyone knows he wants the man united job"
however b charlton has said united would never go for a manager like mourinho

Hey lads,
supposedly Madrid will consider selling Kaka for around 20 mil, personally it is a gamble but i think it is worth it. What do you bunch think? Too risky?

I think that possibly this could be a time for Berbatov to shine, Fergie does need to use the squad he has. We can't pick the same 11. And to be honest i think having him as forth striker is pretty decent. Yesterday will have helped raise the price tag of Gibson, Macheda and Diouf and maybe even Berbatov. But the more i think about it the more i think Berbatov will stay, and to be honest, he's not a bad player. He won't get the big games, but other games where we can rotate then i think he is a good bet for a few goals.

And i think the January signing Fergie would want is Modric, no one else. He wouldn't of had Scholes and Neville praise him so much, Scholes wouldn't of said how great the guy is. Its all trying to win points. The move is more likely to happen in summer, but who knows. If we signed him in January then it'd be great, but more than likely it will happen in Summer when Redknapp probably leaves for England. Thats why i think he is stalling. And lets be honest, why would Modric go to Chelsea if we want him? They are a team on the decline for sure.

Interesting also to hear about the Elm transfer to happen in summer. Sounds like a Alex Ferguson sort of deal to me. Whilst everyone is looking at Sneijder, Kaka, Gotze we move for the modest player who will be a gem.

alex ferguson does obviously not play fantasy football, otherwise he wouldn't have dropped jones, and rooney. nevermind can't wait till I draft in our new goal machine in jan.

If anybody read the Sneijder article on the Daily Fail website today, they will have realized how low the standards of journalism in this country have gone down. Absolutely Pathetic.

Great win for the lads, although it was Wigan and anything less than a thumping win would not have gone down well with any supporter out there. Berba, like he usually does scores in bursts against the lesser opposition. Looks like Santa didn't give SAF his wish of having an injury free Christmas. Fryers has continued to impress though.

Now the pressure is on City for the first time this season, lets see how they handle it.

On another note, i sincerely hope that the draw against Blackburn keeps the scousers on their site for a few days. Should bring them back to reality from their delusional world. But then again, the season ending in Christmas has started to become a LFC tradition now.

P.S. Seriously why and how do Gibbo and Macheda get a game ahead of the youngsters?

I think Shaqiri would be a great addition to the squad, he can play out wide, through the middle, he's fast + strong and would probably cost no more £15million, I think personally that's a bargain for what SAF could turn him in to.

I was at the game yesterday and Carrick was tremendous along with Valencia, Hernandez had a very quiet game but I thought Park was outstanding

Hi Eds.. Given that Carrick, Jones and Giggs are doing quite well in the middle of the park are there any chances SAF may look for a midfielder? Cleverly, Anderson will be back from injury and we have Morrison and Pogba coming through.Any new player coming into this position will surely hamper their progress and I dont think SAF will do that knowing how he runs the club. The wings look a little short of cover though with young being injured and park n giggs not getting any younger. What do u guys think is more likely - A new CM or a winger?

Great result psychologically yesterday as it puts the pressure on. I noticed that we didn't get many Liverpool supporters posting on here yesterday afternoon. I feel they probably have too many words to post so in order to help them and in the spirit of good will. After Fergie's interview about Carrick reaching his potential I am skeptical as to whether we will sign anyone significant.

If you ask me the interview was a joke.

Hope everyone had a Happy Christmas

Wigan, interesting game. Certainly before the start we saw the team and were concerned at the selection, particularly in defence.
Once we took the lead Wigan's heads were down and they didnt threaten very much. The sending off shouldnt have been more than a booking but I believe we would have won anyway. They looked beaten too early, likely the result of previous results against us. The lad Stam on their right looks a decent player and puts in a useful cross. Moses can run with the ball and is pacy and actually for those that questionned why SAF put Evra in the middle taking Evans off, it was IMO to counter the pace of Moses through the middle, Evans would have had no chance. After all we didnt want to see Moses parting the Red Sea yesterday!

Carrick had an excellent game and for me was the MOM with Valencia not far behind. Berbatov's second was a good goal yet there were large phases of the game where he and Hernandez were not actively causing the Wigan defence enough of a problem.

At last we have applied a little pressure on City and Mancini has started moaning about the fixture list not being kind over Christmas. Wait until we are playing Chelsea, Arsenal, Tottenham away which we still have to do, they are games to moan about not West Brom and Sunderland.

There are far more difficult fixtures ahead, we still need two quality players, we beat Wigan, business as usual.

Just finished watching the highlights on SS1 and this has been the first game in a while that Macheda actually impressed. Hopefully a loan to an EPL team could bring the best out of him. He obviously has the potential just not sure about the right attitude. Could still come good though.

Also Zeki Fryers is such an exciting talent that i think we can see him as the long term replacement for Evra. Every chance he has been given he has taken brilliantly.
