No TK that isn't a problem, it is a completly different stat. One is a teams set of clean sheets, the other CB average, may have something to do with you hardly having the same partnership. Disney whilst not paying is better than nothing surely there are other better dream team sites about? You are all funny though not long ago Evans was getting slagged off by you "fans" now he is better than Skrtel or Agger! Mabye you would have Vidic over them two but surely even all you would admit their better CB than Smalling and Jones at the momment and better than Evans and Ferdinand? Can't believe somebody was claiming the Charity Shield is on the same level as the Carling Cup that's just plain stupid! Gav he may well be in the "world 11" on a website where most of the voters were kids, so what? I bet Iker was in goal and he certainly isn't the best goalie in the world. Fair play to Scholes and Giggs though how they're still playing to a high level is incredible but Scholes will never be as good as Gerrard ; )

Disney I need to stop being silly? That's rich. I'm not only judging it on goals against but my main point was CB where Skrtel and Agger have a higher percentage of clean sheets when they play together than any other CB partnership in the Prem. Also we never play for 0-0. The majority of them have been at home where teams come to Anfield to get a draw and we can't break them down.
Also I again urge everyone on here to not buy the S*N. Thanks.

I've posted this before and had no reply but isn't Medhi Benatia Moroccan therefore meaning he'll be playing in the African Cup of Nations every other year (including next year)? Surely this would be a massive negative for signing him?

HaHa you lot are so funny. Suarez has 1 average game yesterday and he now isn't a good player but Vidic is the best defender in the Prem? Lol. Put Vidic up against a quality player with pace and he can't handle it. He has had so many bad games against us, Champions League finals, etc and he I admit is a good player. However he certainly isn't the best in the Prem. Also even Messi has bad games, so that theory is a joke. He also didn't take a penalty as he's missed his last 2 so why would he? GAGUS fair point mate but nobody can doubt how good Agger and Skrtel have been this season. Also to all those who say things like LOLIVERPOOL it makes no sense and you just look silly and immature. Its embarassing. Gav you may be far above us but I can't see you winning anything this season whilst we already have.

Great result yesterday, Norwich are a good team and i think City and Liverfool will find it difficult when they go there.
If any gripes it would be with the forwards.
Welbeck missed too many chances but played ok overall, whereas Hernandez really needs to learn how to trap a ball, constantly bouces off his foot, knee, shin.
He gives the ball away too easily and when we were struggling yesterday it's not good enough.
I thought SAF would have brought Berba on, he would have been ideal in that game, just come on hold the ball up and bring other players in to the game.

'United Forever' most points you make are incorrect. "You will never win anything" obviously you were not watching yesterday. Also the United team is not a league above ours at all. We have a better GK, LB, CB partnership(look at the stats), better choice of CM's and one of the best players in the prem Suarez. We also have a number of fantastic young players and a great team spirit. Also we won on merit and on the way to Wembley we beat Stoke, Chelsea, and Man City away. You grow up mate and pipe down until what you say has any relevance or truth. Also the FA Cup is a competition we have a great chance of winning. "Pipe down".

Question for Ed002 if he is about? Do you know how much this Tax bill that United are expecting is going to be? Roughly? Are we talking a few million or tens of millions? Also the Glazers are selling the Mayfair building, is that building theirs or the club's?

Sydney! {Ed002's Note - I don't know of the tax bill Syd but will try and find out - although I am on the road this week. The Mayfair office was, I thought, just rented.}

You know, well done to Liverpool, they've won a trophy. But I don't see how they think that this is the watershed moment for them, for a start they will never win anything while A**m, Henderson, Downing and Carroll are in the side.

They will say that Downing had a great game, but look at the opposition, a top half championship side, great going.

Liverpool fans, pipe down. You're not in our League, look at the trophy count in recent years. You're squad is appauling and you were taken to penalties by a championship side. At least when we lost to Palace it was with like a 4th XI who don't play with eachother weak in weak out.

Pipe down.

A few quick points on Liverpool yesterday.

It doesn't matter that they played poorly or that it went to penalties. They won and that's all that really matters in a cup final.

Yes the league cup isn't the most impressive prize. But a cup is a cup is a cup.

But, there are some big causes for concern in the long run though. Kenny's tactics nearly lost the final. After they went ahead in extra time everyone thought that's that. Cardiff had held on for a long time, they were clearly tired to the point of exhaustion, and their centre back was pushed up front. But Kenny, true to form, reverted back to defensive football at a time when it was clear to everyone else that they could have pushed for the killer goal. The reason it went to penalties was Princess Kenny's tactics that invited Cardiff on and ended up costing Liverpool their lead.

Suarez is a very good player in some ways, but he isn't a proper goal scoring forward. The chance he had when two Cardiff defenders went for same ball and headed it on to him unmarked in the box show us why he lacks the killer instinct. It was a classic Liverpool chance, a speculative long ball chased up by the striker forcing the defensive error. But Suarez's first thought was to take the ball away from goal, and then he attempted a fancy outside of the boot shot instead of running at the goal, where he would have had a clearer shot or possibly draw a foul. If that chance had fallen to Rush, Fowler, Owen or Torres it would have been game over. Why? Because these are strikers who are happy to take the simple goal, Suarez is not and for all his trickery he needs someone up there with him who won't think twice about banging it straight at the goal. Carroll by the way is not this player.

The midfield is also looking shabby. Downing looked at home yesterday against a Championship defence, but he hasn't looked good at all against any of tge top teams. Gerrard's best days are behind him, but he can still do a job when fit and he is the best midfielder there at the moment. Henderson is always a peripheral figure at best. But Adam is simply not good enough, so slow and his hollywood passes just don't do anything for the side.

So well done to Liverpool, they have a trophy that nobody can take away from them. But they're still a long way off having a top class team.

And well done to Cardiff, gave absolutely everything yesterday. Very unlucky, two posts away from victory.

What do people make of our upcoming fixture list? We have Bilbao on the Thursday night at OT, then WBA at OT on the Saturday afternoon. What line-ups should we play in which game? We will have Valencia, Anderson, Lindegaard & Rooney back by then. How should we mix it up? West Brom are playing very well at the moment and Bilbao are no mugs either.

Bringing Scholes out of retirement certainly smacked of desperation by ole whisky face, but even I must admit that Scholes has been one of the best 'finds' this year.

A total professional, adds calmness amongst the panicking team, and could still play for England

A truly great player

...ps congrats to Giggs for achieving 900 games, remarkable personal achievement

What is with all the Carling Cup references on this page today? Well done to Liverpool for getting there in the end against a stubborn Cardiff side and I understand why the fans are pleased as a trophy is a trophy at the end of the day but, quite frankly, I couldnt give two hoots about the events of today other than our win at Norwich. Lets allow Liverpool to have their moment of glory, genuinely, as we have bigger fish to fry.
