Sergio Aguero appears to love a shadow.
He played for Atletico Madrid for 5 years who will always exist in the shadow of Real, and now he moves to the mercenaries who will attempt to buy success in the shadow of the biggest club in the world and 19 times English Champions, Manchester United.

His career choices appear to be that of a stranger who is mysterious, but enigmatic, IMO.

"You gotta be one of the few that do, hes lazy and not a player utd want or need, sooner he goes the better"

There's your first mistake, he's not lazy, When you see the likes of Park, Rooney, Javier, Anderson, etc, running their hearts out it's understandable to think he's lazy but he's far from it. He's had his laid back style everywhere he's been in Germany, at Spurs, so I don't understand why you get on his back? we watched him at spurs for 2 years and then we're surprised when he continues a style which has served him well his entire career.

The man has talent, Whenever he gets the ball you get that feeling that something special is about to happen and that's what sets him apart IMO.

Does anybody else find it amazing that Liverpool and city fans come on here and tell us how poor we were last year how lucky we were and how they will win the league are they that narrow minded... Liverpool top 6 maybe 5 side at best and city are so far behind united and Chelsea it's not even funny not because they don't have the players cause there manager is just that bad I really think the only man who could do a worse job than mankini is Rafa beneathus

Wow...bitch, bitch, moan, moan What happened to the unity on this site? For the past three days or so all it's been is, ' you're a Glazer mole', ' we've got a no chance this year', blah, blah, blah Gentlemen it's getting really tired, just give it a rest. Opinions are like bumholes, we all have them, albeit some are more stinky than others. Can we quit all the sniping and castigation please? We're making a pretty piss poor show of being, 'united', at the moment...

Just a quick message to Red Baz who infiltrated the mighty LFC forum. Don't come onto our site posting utter garbage just because the big boys on here won't let you have your say. Stick up for yourself.

Whilst i'm here it would be amiss of me to have my say. Ol' Red Baz had a snigger about Aguero going to Citeh after so many whinges about him coming to LFC. I think he said the similar things about Sneijder. How is that going Red Baz?

Whilst i am a fan of Young, he is being slated on here, he would have been a good signing for us. But if you do not replace Scholes this season you will struggle, especially away from home.

I take it Anderson is still being fined by the City Council for continually fouling on the grass? The only thing he has in common with Scholes is the standard of his tackling. Gibson is just legendary and Giggs is more interested in sapping his strength elsewhere than running down the wings.

But i enjoyed the orgasmic goings on with Gill in Milan on the verge of signing to fergie's 'we wont sell that lot a virus...sorry no more players', to we can't afford him and all the fans went limp on here. Hilarious stuff.

But be careful looking over your right shoulder at those noisy neighbours coming up and taking you over, as you might just miss the Real red machine coming up the middle.

Don't worry as my old muckers RAINFISH, gan and his twin ngiak will tell you, i'll keep you fully updated on our takeover.

Long live the Glazers and all who spend money in her.

The last two days I've been far too busy to even visit this site. After having a quick scan of some of the posts today, I'm so glad my time has been taken up elsewhere. Seriously, regular posters need to wake up and realise that just because you think you 'own' this site that it makes your opinion worth something. RTF and many others, you are ruining the united fan image, WE ARE NOT ALL PARANOID we do not all believe that there are glazer plants, if they are why do you really care?

Why cant someone say they dont mind the glazers? It is an opinion and does not mean they are paid by the glazers....

now the plastics have bought aguero sit back and watch them go for sneijder? while utd stick with the same old same that struggled last year away from the comfort of ot they will buy 2 top players. thats why saf says citeh will be a danger im afraid we should enjoy the last 20 years because the end of the dominance is gonna end all because we arent strenghthening in the right areas? we have no money and we cant buy genuine world class talent its been great but all good things must end. as a fan for 30 years i remember the odd cup run therefore it dosent worry me but its ashame that the worlds most supported and(richest club lol) has been reduced to relying on average players like jones bebe anderson obertan evans owen etc. GUTTED.

Funny but I know what era RAINFISHTROMBONE comes from when following United, I may not agree with everything he says and I do find him too aggressive at times. However I dont doubt his love for the club and how long he has held that love. The Neviller has suddenly appeared with what seems to be false platitudes and I dont get that he feels the same level of love for the club as many others on here. He does seem keen to take people on in particular RFT who happens to be anti Glazer. I does seem strange that someone just appears on the scene with those views at a time when there is criticism of the Glazers. Suddenly not long after SAF declares no more purchases, at a time when they are still trying to sell season tickets where Gill appears to actually contradict SAF a well educated person arrives on the site. This someone writes in a well educated manner and sets out to put the thought in our minds that £50M is not so bad for a summer spend by the Glazers.

I will leave it to everyone to decide but it is interesting to see a new poster like Neviller arrive and suddenly spend almost as much time as Sydney writing on the site. Somebody whose writing indicates education who can spend time in the day to write so much on here and someone who seems to take on RFT directly head on and RFT being the person who is most critical of the Glazers.

I wonder

I wouldn't read too much into David Gill's comments...

I don't think we are negotiating a move and I don't think he is trying to drive season ticket prices up, I think he means exactly what he says. There is always going to money available to Sir alex for a signing if a perfect opportunity arises and he will pounce when one does arrive, or if his hand is forced no matter what he has previously said (e.g. Phil Jones is rumoured to have been bought due to interest from other parties). What they are saying is that if they are not going to improve on the quality United already have then they will not buy. And that surely has to be the approach? I mean, otherwise you start spending £35m on players like Andy Carroll...

And people will start putting forward names, saying ''how would these players not improve the squad?'', ''why doesn't he bid for these players?'', ''we should have tried to sign this player''. If they are right for United, Sir Alex will do all in his power to sign them. If he doesn't, there is a very good reason.

This is a football banter site yet I fear a few of you are getting just a little bit carried away so everyone go sit yourselves on the time-out step and think remember that you are all on the same side at the end of the day. Personally Im getting abit bored of scrolling through pages worth of anti-RAINFISHTROMBONE posts every few weeks. Getting personal aint the answer. He's as entitled to his opinion as anyone and if you dont like how he speaks to you then the simple answer is to not reply.

RAINFISHTROMBONE

A little wager for you, if you have the bottle to take me up on it (doubtful)

Find one post from me, just one, where I have supported the Glazers or soar they were good for this club. Since you've declared me a Glazer supporter it shouldn't be hard. If you find one, I leave this site and never come back. If you can't find one, you leave and never come back.

How about it? Care to put your "credibility" where your stupid idiotic mouth is, since you believe I have no credibility?

I await another rambling response with daft accusations without foundation.

He is capable of this magic in the first team, i believe in him as do a few others, so all you ando haters, re-evaluate and believe

@RAINFISTHROMBONE.

Do you or don't you agree that it is a Modric or Wilshere type of controlling midfielder that we need rather than big money "attacking" midfielders? Sadly both these will simply not move to United. Modric is a small maybe but Wilshere has just a big fat NO written all over him. We can waste our time if we want with a big bid and make a fool out of ourselves and doing nothing more than upsetting Wenger a bit more.

Possibly Sneijder/Nasri can slot into that role too. Both deals are complicated and will take time. But i just can't see any other player out there mate who is capable of improving us immediately significantly and is available.

SAF won't buy the overrated crop of Pastores, Gansos and Neymars of this world from poor leagues and up and down performances and i am glad about that. Until he finds the right player with the experience he will not shell out the big bucks, i really don't get why you simply want to be deliberately objective and simply vent out your frustrations with "Glazers not giving SAF money".

The real frustrating thing is that why SAF spent 32mil on Young and Jones when we didn't really need them and they do not improve our first 11 in the short term.

People come on this site saying we are getting this player and that player etc, etc, but never pick a team with their new signing (or wishful signing would be more appropriate).
E.g. Can anybody tell me where Sneijder is going to play if we get him, who is he going to replace, and what formation is SAF going to play with him in the team?
Before anybody asks, I only think Sneijider will be signed if Rooney goes. I would be shocked if he played both as he would have to change formation and SAF loves his 442/4411.

Thinking about last term, the team evolved and became less reliant on Rooney, with Little Pea and Berba both stepping up to the plate. The next step would be to spread the goals more across the midfield and defence, United will prosper if they can produce a central midfielder who will add another ten goals. The flanks are covered with Nani contributing ten goals, young contributed to an inconconsistant Villa, with nine goals, which looks hopeful, the return of Cleverley and Wellbeck should help and even Ando picked up towards the end of the season, scoring four.

I've asked a question a few times on here, and it was aimed at RAINFISHTROMBONE, unsurprisingly he has yet to answer. I have responded to every ludicrous accusation thrown at me with regards to me supposedly being a Glazer plant (Asda must have sold out of tin foil with all these tin foil hats certain people in here are wearing) yet RAINFISH has yet to even acknowledge this question has been asked.

Here it is though, i'll leave it on here and we can see if he answers it. I'm not hopeful

RAINFISH, which of these scenario's would make you happiest this summer

A. Manchester United make a blockbuster centre midfield signing, addressing the need you feel the team needs, but unfortunately meaning you are wrong in what you have suggested, and your anti-glazer viewpoint possibly should be softened a little.

B. Manchester United sign no one, the midfield need is not addressed, the team struggles without a midfielder next season, but on the plus side you were right all along and are able to tell everyone you told them so.

I know which one i think is true, whether you admit it or not is another thing.

And as a quick ps, here's a prediction i have had. If Manchester United go and make a blockbuster signing, what is the betting that RAINFISH and enigmatic whatever his name is take credit for it, and state that their conviction of our need of a centre midfielder was sent to the glazers, via their conduits on here (myself, Sydney, Gan etc) and the Glazers bought that player to appease fans, as The Neviller realised the fans could not be appeased with online spying and coaxing techniques.

All this about 'Scholes replacement' is crazy at the minute for me. I know Fergie has said it himself but we have needed improvement in central midfield since we lost to Barca in 09. Scholes has hardly been a regular since then Can not believe we have got this far with not one midfielder signed and so many wingers/strikers and defenders.

I agree that we may have some great youth coming through so maybe they are the answer but Fergie spends years slowly integrating youth into the team so it still means we end up with an avg midfield until then. We need 2 new quality central midfielders. If we do that then we can move forward

I think my respect for you went out of the window when you said that you would love owners like City's owners. That is close to my worst nightmare and 99% of United fans would agree with me on that one.

Winning honours with funds not generated from our club would taint any silverware we ever won. For a United fan to want us to go down the same route as City and Chelsea, we should be questioning you pal.

Sydney!.................Sydney what exactly is it that City's owners are doing wrong? They are using their own money to invest not only in the club and its playing staff but also in the local community. We might not be happy because it is City getting all this money and not us but please tell me what the owners are doing wrong. I don't notice you criticising Real Madrid who have always bought success since the 50's and have just had their debts written off................Please get down off your high horse and look at how we have behaved in the past bullying clubs into selling us players because we had the money. I am looking at the long term picture of what owners bring to a club. City's have brought wealth and prosperity ours have brought a huge debt. Please discuss and I would also love to know why you find Liverpool's owners so admirable. RAINFISHTROMBONE

Ok now, one thing im sick hearing about is that sneijder would have no resale value.
1. Do you buy players to sell them for a profit...excuse me but i guess we aren't called arsenal
2. Even if you buy a youngster say pastore/goetze..if they turn out to be crap....tell me one team that would be willing to buy them for more than half of what we would have pay'ed
no matter what the age, buying someone costly will always be a risk....the advantage of signing sneijder would be the present...we already have s**t loads of talent for the future.

Enigmatic and Mysterious ways ETC has come out and unmasked the Glazer plants on this site like The Neviller and it has thrown them into a state of panic. Look how quickly people like GAN Sydney and others come on and try and deflect away from the truth. They always defend themselves by saying "I don't want the Glazers at the club BUT and then they try and slip a pro Glazer bit in. The other option is to go on the attack against someone like me who is quite unashamebly Anti-Glazer. GAN attempts to suggest that I am making money out of it so you lot think I have an alternative motive when my only purpose is to rid the club of this crippling debt and the cancer at the heart of the debt. They will tell you that everything is great and we are winning things but i am sure you will all agree that this is inspite of and not because of the owners. DO YOU THINK THE FRINGE PLAYERS STAY WARMING THE BENCH BECAUSE THEY ARE WITH BARCELONA, OR WOULD THEY LIKE FIRST TEAM FOOTBALL....??

United's 25 Man Squad for the 2011-2012 season
If the 2011-2012 season were to start today, this is what United s squad would look like according to the rules instated last summer. We need to name a 25 man squad, plus an unlimited number of under 21 year old players (born on or after 1st January 1990).

At least 8 of these 25 have to be "home grown", which means trained at English / Welsh clubs for 3 years between the ages of 16 and 21. We have 11 players who currently qualify

Not to get ahead of ourselves, but project forward a further 12 months and see that 7 players were born in 1990. When the 2012-2013 season starts, all of them will be classed as "over 21", so how many of that cohort will still be at United?

Looking at the United first team and reserves added in with youth still leaves a Major hole in our midfield area.
In comparison with FC Barcelona who have 11/12 established Midfield players in first team and on loan not to mention the youth,
IMO the keane/scholesy era was our best ever and when keane left we taught carrick would fill the void but he is pants
and only shows up when the opposition are not on par. So the keane void still has not been filled 7 yrs on, and now
we have Ando who is still learning and not half the player scholes was and @ 37 GIGGSY cant battle the CM role past 20 min.

So there we have it in black and white..... Forget the 3 summer signings ATM, SAF priority should have been on a Defensive midfielder
to break the play and an attacking midfielder to create play...

we had enough on the wings with park, nani, toni valencia and giggs

Transfer activity isn't exactly over says Gill. Looking at 2 or 3 players at a certain position obviously the central midfield. Patient game.
