I've posted it on here before without much interest being taken but Farfan is one hell of a player and he's a free agent which makes it more of an attractive proposition. This is not MOTD fever by the way

I was just having a look at the highlights of the 07-08 Champions league semi final against Barca. Everytime Ronaldo touched the ball, he was fouled, and the referee seemed to turn a blind eye. I didn't realise that UEFA have been Barca's bitch for such a long time. The ultimate pay back was to beat them though

Im fed up with Rooney being forced to drop back into midfield all the time when Scholes doesn't play. He is best up front. He was awesome when we played 4 5 1 and stayed up front. Now due to a lack of creativity he has to drop back into midfield and kick start us into moving the ball up front. This reminds me of when Best in the 70's when he was left to create for himself afte charlton, law etc had gone. We potentially may never see Rooney reach his potential as we don;t have the players to help him achieve it.

I realise I'm a bit late with this, but it's the first time I've been able to watch the recent reserves vs Everton match. It's almost laughable the difference between Pogba and most others at that level. Some have suggested that we might be looking at Barkley, but I'm not sure why. IMO, Pogba and Petrucci, who has come on leaps and bounds recently, are miles ahead of him. I recognise the need for an established CM in our team, but if we only make 1 signing for the CM in the summer, I hope it's a contract renewal for Pogba.

Was trying to decide earlier what type of player I would like to see fergie buying. Mainly between a cf or a st. I for one just don't really know what Rooney's best position is.
In cf he has scored a hell of a lot of goals from being the person who orchestrates attacks, dictates play and usually takes on defensive responsibilities.
However if he was played st he would have a lot more goal opportunities and therefore even more goals. So I am not sure whether to take him out of cf and put him in striker and buy a cf who you will nearly be Garunteed with not get 20+ goals a season but may be a bit more creative
So to put it down simply. Would you want fergie to sign a striker who will get 20 goals + a season something Welbeck and Hernandez won't do for a few years yet or buy a playmaker like ozil etc. Where do you Think Rooneys best position is?

just came back from the city page. so so quiet. no passion and no soul.
got me thinking and this isnt just a cheap jibe.
with all the money spent is it possible the novelty wore off to be replaced by a nagging hollow feeling we didnt earn this?
where is the excitement and the fighting spirit? for all the banter we have youd think we are battling with liverpool. if it was swansea without the bagfulls theyd be ripping up the pages by now exstatic
so i ask. could the feeling we had when alex was on his way to first prem his first prem, can it even compare?
glad to be a red. blue is cold

Hi Ed's
With Giggs now playing in the middle, United have 3 wingers who are right footed. Barca got messi (even though he dosnt play on the wing) Real - di maria, bayern - robben. Especially with Us preferring crosses in to the box. Ashley young is predictable, he cuts on to his right most of the time. so dont you think we should go for a left footed player ? or will this even play a part when fergie goes shopping ?
is it just giatan or we have good number or left footed wingers ?

I would take levezzi over hazard and any striker, he can play in both positions and is awesome.

With all the names being banded around for strikers with the seemingly inevitable departures of Berbatov Macheda and possibly Owen what does everyone think about Mario Gomez of Bayern?
He has consistently scored goals for Bayern in the leagure, champions league and for Germany. He is certainly scoring more goals than Higuain and Cavani who are touted as ideal signings.

so apparently viera has come out and denied making the ref comments! bbc reporter blamed for twisting words!
whats your take on this ed?is mancini trying to avoid a confrontation with SAF keeping in mind what happened to rafa?hence more comments coming from platt and viera regarding the title chase and "desperation" talk?
Rudi {Ed001's Note - it certainly would be no surprise if the words were twisted, I certainly can't find a transcript that says what was reported. Just typical trash journalism, we have so few honest ones left, unfortunately, that it has become difficult to believe anything in newspapers or on TV.}

Here's one for the scousers:
'In the last 10 seasons, Manchester United have conceded 12 penalties at Old Trafford. Only 2 teams have conceded less - Chelsea and LIVERPOOL.'
It's funny that all the scousers say we never have penalties given against us at Old Trafford, yet they have conceded less in ten years at Anfield.
