Samir Nasri is on a plane to Manchester as we speak and both SAF and Mancini are in a race against time and each other to make it to the arrivals lounge first, in a bid to whisk him off via Bentley for contract talks.

It may come down to who has the faster car or which manager can run faster but it promises to be a competitive race and neither manager will give in until they either have thier man or he is being sped away in a rival car.

For United's sake, I hope it doesn't come down to a foot race.

Chelsea seem to watch over Nasri as well. Surely, I don't think it should be a worry because one good reason he is leaving that Arsenal are trouble for winning silverware. It seems he is fancy of Manchester United."""
dear sir
seems like a no brainer to ngiak
modric and nasri linked to man united and Chelsea
one team can't possibly have both
so one each?
ngiak would be happy to have either
sad about kagawa and hernanes though
what happened to goetze?
ngiak could have sworn either goetze or kagawa would end up at man united...

already feeling the hangover.... {Ed007's Note - Ah see, Moneypenny likes football, boxing and golf. I have trained her well, although she is more a LFC fan than Utd but that was from when she was young and they had the "spice boys" image. I forgot her birthday today though :-(""
dear mr James bond
then you should be showing her a good time
and not loitering around on this site

I hope Haye smashes the boring robot. Ed007 this handshake nonsense is all part of the hype, everyone knows when there is a genuinely dislike for each other it will sell more tickets, more people will subscribe to Box Office. Haye will shake his hand after the fight win or lose.

There is no one on this planet as arrogant as Andy Murray, but I still supported him because he is a Brit. Ali was cocky, Mayweather is cocky, it's part of what made/makes them who they are. Come Haye do it for Britain, then go and smash up his equally boring brother.

I'm sitting here having a few drinks with a friend of mine who's a Liverpool fan, I'v been telling him about the site for awhile. It's the first time I'v ever gone on to the Scouse site and oh my god are they some dreamers over there I mean i know theres a few delusional fans here but they take the biscuit.
No wonder all their fans think they're gonna win the league and even though they're not in it they'll still win the champions league because they're buying Aguero, Mata, Martinez, A**m and A**ms, Pastore and a few cheeky bids for Nasri and Neymar.
I'm not one for slaging off other teams but i had to make an exception this time hahaha.

Some potential targets: Sanchez, Nasri, Hazard.
Hazard wants to leave and Nasri wants to leave. Sanchez wants to leave to Barcelona or Man Utd. Sanchez prefers to play as second striker or winger. Nasri prefers to play as a second striker and Hazard prefers to play as winger. I prefer Sanchez personally although I think him least likely and I think Nasri most likely. Gilly

anyone watching the boxing tonight?

promises to be a good fight.

i know its a football site but being the off season thought i'd ask

rincewind. {Ed007's Note - I hope Haye gets smashed, his arrogance is shocking IMO. I am all for the WWE razzamataz to build the fight up, but to refuse to shake a man's hand and his whole demeanour has put me right off him.}

In an attempted joke aimed at Liverpool, SAF has made a bid of £100 for their midfielder S. Gerrard.

Mr Ferguson made the bid in an attempt to infuriate his Liverpool counterpart but it seems to have backfired as Liverpool continue to consider the offer, although Mr Gerrard is thought to not be interested in a move to Manchester, instead preferring a switch to Everton.

Why on earth chelsea links up all the players we r interested in :@ {Ed007's Note - If there is a sniff a player is available he will be linked to all the major clubs}

what I don't get is why we trying to sell berbatov? he just came JOINT-TOP SCORER in the premier league, and he scored 5 goals in one match
also, having berbatov means that if rooney or hernandez gets injured, we have reliable backup.

Do u think we could sign a midfielder like hernanes of lazio, Sergio canales or emana from real betis they are good and would be a lot cheaper than sneijder

why are some people obsessed with signing wesley sneijder? He wouldn't be a good signing. Good player but not the right player for us. He plays in that area that rooney likes to drop into so they'd get in each others way. He's too costly in terms of fee and wages and given his age he doesn't represent value for money especially when compared to other players around such as nasri for example. And out of all the major european leagues he plays in the worst one. The italian league is garbage. Because the games are played at walking pace he has the time to do his thing. Over here he'd have no time before someone tries kicking him in the air. It would be a total shock to him. He also hardly set the spanish league on fire. Did alright not great. As i said he's a good player just not right for us. With all the expectation and price tag he could struggle like berbatov or veron. Just my opinion.

With Gian Piero Gasperini becoming the coach of inter, Sneijder could find himself out of favour. The former Genoa manager fancies a 3-4-3 formation, which does not really feature a creative attacking midfielder like Sneijder. I think beacause of inter's new coach it could very well result in Sneijder making a move from the San Siro to Old Trafford. He'll be a great signing and i think Sir alex fancies him more than modric or nasri.

Could anybody help me...

I presume all players have insurance taken out on them, and I was wondering if we would be entitled to any compensation for Owen Hargreaves. I did here the sum of £12 Million being branded about.. But now he has left the club would that make it impossible to claim on this?
Would it only be possible if he never kicked a ball again.

Anyway, I will finish this by saying what a great player for United he could have been.. Such a sad waste to a player and team, and what ever he does I wish him all the best.

Nathana Se7en {Ed002's Note - You are correct about insurance, and if the players career had been ended by injury whilst he was under contract then a claim would be made.}

Carrick-Fletcher is my preferred combination in midfield ATM but I'm excited to see if Anderson will force himself into the first team. Surely it's make-or-break time for him.
Any thoughts? I know everybody wants to get Sneijder or Modric or Nasri or someone expensive but hasn't Anderson been waiting for Scholesy to retire for a few years? It must be his time to shine. I'd love to see it happen.

Alex ferguson is king of MUFC and we are Fu***d when he does decide to pack it in. Could it be that he plans to retire soon(5-6 years) and wants to prove once more that he is best manager ever-
Aims for his final years

1---->to claim at least on more European success.
2---->leave a legacy which will never be beaten by claiming more league titles .
3---->to leave one finAl generation of young experienced players who r ready to play as long as giggsy.
4---->to influence and help with the appointment of his long term replacement. {Ed007's Note - 5 or 6 years is soon? I have had marriages that lasted shorter than that!}

In an unexpected twist, SAF has turned his attentions to Chelsea's Josh McEachran to fill the midfield void left by Paul Scholes.

Chelsea are thought to be reluctant to sell such a talent to their nearest rivals but may be forced to sell if the bigger club makes an acceptable offer, thought to be around £15 million.

This interest in McEachran is in keeping with Ferguson's preference for young British players as he looks to build his latest Manchester United team.

Everyone nows we need a centre mid. I
I'm sick and tired of hearing it. People say we are getting a direct replacement for scholes bt data not possible. What made scholes so different was him just being scholes- unbelievable inch perfect passes, rocket shots, flare+energy in midfield and hard redcard like tackles
We are looking at nasri who offers a cOmpletely different option. He is smaller and lacks control and physicality in
Midfield.
Instead the closest there is to scholes is right here in Manchester.that is Wayne rooney.
However expect nasri or sneidjer to come in to.

I know he loves his club and dey won't sell him bt wud we b interested in young JACK WILSHERE , also similar to scholes as has skill, power and discipline problems which make him so unique.
Maybe a 30 million offer on cards. Highly doubt it though

I was wondering what has happened with the Rodwell situation? I think it was Ed1 that was sure he would be signed, is that still the case? I think he could be a wonderful player.

He is strong, tall, fast and hard working. He is also a very good tackler, strong in the air, has a deadly long shot, and his passing is top class. He reminds me a lot of Gerrard. In footballing style and not thuggish attitude. He only needs to work on his defensive positioning and that can be worked on.
So what do you make of him and Ed 1. Do we still have an interest in him?
The Red Manc {Ed001's Note - I did think he was very likely, Fergie has put in a lot of groundwork, but it seems his injury problems have put any move for him on hold. Though Everton are looking to offload some players from the midfield to raise funds, so it is still a possible option, but my belief is that Jones was chosen instead of him.}

I know im going to get shot down by u all and before i say it may i note ive got man utd running through my veins but bottom line is we have got too many good players not enough world class great players. ( exception to vidic rooney evra) Know we bring players through and we do make them great and i know weve bin burnt by buying big signings i.e veron and losing money but if eva a time is needed to make statements and sign one or two big names its now. We dnt want to be like lpool the team of the 80s we want to be man utd the team of always To this season , til nxt season , and til many many more devils til i die TORQS
