In tomorrow's Daily Mirror, it states that Barcelona's offer for Sanchez is £24m plus £10m in add-ons. The £10m add-ons are based on Sanchez playing 50% of games in the next 4 years. Very strange offer. United's offer is believed to be £28m, with add-ons. I would say Udinese would rather United's offer, mainly because they need to find a replacement for Sanchez quickly, and would like as much money as possible right now. There is also no guarantee that Udinese would get Barca's £10m add-ons due to injury, out of favour etc. But, it is up to Sanchez to decide where he wants to go. Not the greatest paper in the world, but it is an interesting story.

i see rainfish is here again with his you can only support united if you come from manchester line. Yes i suppose a lot of the fans born in the nineties are glory hunters just like all non scouse liverpool fans from the eighties are glory hunters. But remember united gained a lot of fans through busby and events both before and after munich.

i was reading the conversation between GAN and Sydney regarding United supporters in India. Will someone please explain to me why you support United when you have no connection to the club geographically or socially. If you are from Cornwall or Birmingham or London and have no connection to Manchester why do you support United. I would love someone to give me a sensible answer to this as I can only think of one answer and it contains the words glory and hunters. RAINFISHTROMBONE

DEAR MR RAINFISHTROMBONE
i am a 21 year old fan of man utd from india and i hope to play for the red devils one day.now to answer your question i would suggest that in general the popularity of manchester united in india is due to strong promotion tactics and much more coverage given to the club then the rest.but as far as i am concerned i grew in a country mad for cricket, my family only wants me to become an engineer or doctor but still i love football the most and the first match i saw was of manchester united and i fell in love with them.next i hero worship rooney and when he signed for man utd the love just grew and now football and utd r 2 things for which i live.i would also like to advice u not to question/doubt fellow utd supporters religion/culture/social status etc.

Hi Guys
Just a thought but didn't Tevez say he wanted to win trophies over money then left us for City and didn't he come from a poor upbringing.
Don't get me wrong I hope Nasri does sign for us and I hope he doesn't prove to be another money grabbing t**t but so many have said this sort of thing before and then gone where the money is.

Does anyone think Asamoah Gyan might be worth a punt? I've always thought he seemed pretty decent. I personally think Berbatov is a class act, but if he were to leave, Gyan would be a cheap alternative (around £10m) with still a few years in him, linked up well with Welbeck while at Sunderland, wouldn't mind sitting on the bench... put some money saved towards the creative midfielder we need?

Plus I'd love to see him dancing in a United shirt.

RE Sanchez
I wouldn't say it's greed because we can match Barcelona's wages with ease. I think he is talent struck by Messi, Xavi, Iniesta etc. Plus Spain is much warmer than England and his style of play would suit La Liga better than the PL.

You categorically said that Sanchez was greedy the other day when City were supposed to be the front runner for his signature. You are a complete bullsh*tter arn't you my friend

I've been doing some diggin' on the Nasri front, And according to a few on the Arsenal site they view him as somebody who wants to be centre of attention all the time and somebody who goes missin' in the 'big games'.

I'd still love for us to sign him but I just thought I'd share that with you...

Samir Nasri came from a very poor background so money is not the issue to him. He just wants to make a better legacy for himself. He wants people to remember how successful he was.

The best place for him to do that is Manchester united. So I think there is a very good chance that he could join us.

sydney, your research/facts for ronaldo's weekly wage are a guess at best you have no idea what he earns in a week, so I think I will just go with quotes from an interview he has just done instead of your random nonsense.

Ronaldo interview
Ronaldo takes huge pride in being able to support and spoil his friends and family.

I bought my mother a £400,000 house in Portugal, she lives there with her partner and my son. I bought my sisters houses as well.

Ronaldo is also a shrewd businessman, creating an extensive property portfolio with his family taking control of it.

I sit on my money, he says. I earn £400,000 a week but I can t spend it all, it just gets bigger. My brother runs my nightclubs and various bars. I also own a hotel. But money hasn t changed me I m still the same person.

READ THEM FACTS.

Ronaldo denies making city claim. The Real Madrid forward released a statement on Twitter to clarify that he did not speak to the newspaper and he did not make the reported comments about City.

"The Sunday Mirror publishes an interview with me today, " read the statement. "All that content is false.

"I have never spoke with the newspaper, and never made those statements."

Maybe I can get that ball rolling (no pun intended) by asking everyone - if you could sign any player - just this one - and money was no issue - who would it be?

I think i'd choose Xavi. He'd be perfect for that CM role that needs filling.

Nothing will happen next year, clubs who don't abide by the FFPR cannot be punished properly until 2015. Besides, all City could do is give Real Madrid Tevez & Silva plus a little cash for Ronaldo, then the wages of Ronaldo's would be covered by Tevez' & Silva's wages who have left the club. Ronaldo will definitely make the big money move to City next summer IMO.

well the problem is not matching the salaries
they need a huge CUT in wages
their spending on salaries etc is way over the limit

Does anyone else feel that there is something very unpleasant about the way City go about their business in the transfer market? With Mancini openly discussing targets, announcing deals are ''more or less done'' when it hasn't been 100% agreed and publicly stating how much he likes, or dislikes, certain players. With Utd it all seems so much more dignified (not that I'm suggesting Utd don't try to unsettle players and use tactics like that because I'm sure they do to an extent..)

I think this is a summer which SAF has been given a chance to spend big and rejuvenate the squad. I think SAF will take full advantage of this. Parker turns 31 this year, I think he would be a backwards step. A**m IMO is not good enough, he has a wicked left pin and is a dead ball specialist, but his movement and positioning when the game is moving is woeful.

I would rather give Pogba, Morrison & Tunners a chance over these pair. I want us to target someone between 21-24 for a creative midfield position. If we have money to spend this summer then we should spend it, I expect money will be tighter in future seasons while we concentrate on bringing through the youth.

Sydney!"""
dear mr Sydney!
your two scenarios are valid
however ngiak thinks the next generation will need a guide the next two seasons
they have scholes and giggs off the pitch
someone like parker can be a guide on the pitch while they are learning
arent you the one who said they are not quite ready yet?
someone like parker is also a good role model off the pitch as well
he would be the perfect link for the youngsters
a 21-24 year old would hold back and retard the development of these youngsters...
like you said you rather see these guys develop right?
and this "guy" would probably be expensive and earn a lot. very disruptive to team spirit

IMO Juan Mata or Samir Nasri would be great signings....I also think this is the year for Anderson to step up to the plate... believe he has the talent. We should not sell Nani or Berb. Nani is good, becoming better every season IMO. As far as Berb is concerned I think he is very skillful and when he turns on the style he does exactly that..next season we should give Rooney a free role & let him play all over the pitch...Starting 11:

De Gea
Rafael Ferdinand/Smalling Vidic Evra

Fletcher/Jones
Valencia Rooney Young/Nani

Berbatov Chicharito

According to SSN the ONLY reason Nasri would ever consider moving is to win trophies playing football he enjoys and he has never ever made any decision in his career where money has been the motive. So either he joins United, or he is a liar. (And joins City)

-Jeffren has once again turned down the move to Udinese, which suggests that Barcelona may now pull out of the Sanchez deal after claiming it was to be their final offer. Could this possibly open the door for United? It is believed that Jeffren was part of Barca's 'definitive offer'.

-The situation with Samir Nasri is interesting. I hope he goes to United, but I get the feeling that the lure of £180,000 a week could once again push a talented footballer towards Wastelands. Chelsea seem to be interested, but it remains to be seen whether they have plans to bid again for Modric. I think they will bid for Modric again, but Tottenham are very stubborn. I would say United could bid for Modric soon, but Nasri appears to be no.1 choice.

-Edinson Cavani's agent has claimed he will not be joining United this summer, so we can rule him out of the equation for this year. His buyout clause is a quite ridiculous 50m euros.

-Hulk has confirmed he will stay at Porto next season. He was extremely unlikely anyway with his buyout clause standing at £86m. Falcao does look to be on his way though, with Chelsea looking likely.

-Surprisingly, it's all gone rather quiet on the Sergio Aguero front. It's believed he is putting his future on hold until after the Copa America. I feel he could end up at Juventus, but don't rule out Real Madrid.

-Neymar looks like he is staying with Santos. What is it with these Presidents? Pozzo is bad, but the president of Santos and Palermo are unbelievable. They make Pozzo look good, that's all I can say.

-Other deals looking likely happen IMO:
Doni to L**erpool
A**m to L**erpool(hooray)
Downing to L**erpool
Alvarez to Arsenal
Gervinho to Arsenal
Damiao to Tottenham
Gary Cahill to Chelsea
Taarabt to PSG(50-50)

"I have heard Theo Walcott wants to come with Nasri to Man Utd.."

Is Old Trafford short on ball boys or something? Because I don't imagine any team would buy Walcott for his footballing talent.

""Perhaps Sir Alex Ferguson s new found spending power this summer can be attributed to a report in the News of the World which claims: Manchester United are to open talks with Nike over a world record new kit deal worth an astonishing 400 million pounds.

The Sunday tabloid add The US sportswear giants pay £23.5m a-year but Manchester United owners the Glazers have seen the deal dwarfed in recent years and want to ensure the club are top earners again.""

@I wish if the journalists were going to talk about this, that they would get their facts right. Nike bumped the yearly payments up to £25.4m last year. I believe we are still the best paid club in the PL, but the next Nike deal will make the rest of the sponsorships look silly, it could be between £35m-£40m a year.

{Ed007's Note -my sources have told me that a french international that goes by the name of Samir nasri has booked a direct flight from las Vegas to Manchester for talks with BOTH united and city. Also learned that united set to loan out another key youth player to Peterborough along with Ryan tunnicliffe :-"""
