Mike the Moston Red
I have supported city longer than you have supported your team i have lots of memorys some good some bad You talk about continually lambasting from other supporters no team has suffered more from that than my team.

You say the dynamic change people saying you only won things becauase of the money not from this guy what you won was no problem to me you won fair & square.

You say about Mike Doyle what has he done to make you hate him so much he loved his team whats wrong with that ? Paul Scholes Wes brown both went public to say they would love to see city realgated. Your manager has dismissed city many a time i dont have a problem with it its part of football.

You say people detest my club if that is so why do so many people not want utd to win the title its not becauase they want city to win its becauase they detest utd.

You seem to have a problem with city having money why? You mention Jim Cashell academy tell me he didnt do a good job you cant & you know it.

Why would i want to lie to you & say im in a state of defensive denial you sound a very bitter person. You say i will bring up madrid psg & others why do i need to i dont object to my club having money. What ever we achive will only only be down to the owner putting money in his club his club he can do what he wants.

As you say we have had bad times yes we were down in the third tier & no doubt you loved it & laughed fine i dont have a problem with that. You say im after respect no im not you also say be honest you had no respect for the way you are doing it now rubbish i am quite happy with what is happing at the moment. Going by what you say you should stop supporting utd because of the glaziers but you want so why should i.

Summary - I only came on here for a bit of friendly banter but it seems its not on the menu for you lot fine if you would rather be bitter thats up to you.
Goobye & good luck from a not bitter city fan.

To all you idiotic morons who want us to sign fellaini get yóur heads tested, he is no where near Manchester United quality and never will be!, also I would'nt like to see kagawa as he is much like Anderson in his early years, he plays behind the striker(s) and unfortunatly saf would try and mould him into a box-2-box midfielder which he isn't for that reason I want United to break the bank for 2 signings, Javi Martinez and Mesut oezil, could come to around the 60 million mark?.. We can address the lb situation next year! Also don't bite my head off just throwing it out there.. Juan mata any possibility we could snatch him from chelski? He is quoted as saying giggs was his ideal, would he want to play with the welsh wizard?

After reading some of the posts, a lot of you need to wake up!
There isn't going to be a major squad overhaul like you lot are saying whilst naming 6 or 7 unrealistic signings like Martinez, Kagawa, Eriksen Goetze etc etc

More players are sold than bought it's the same every year
Sir Alex will only buy 3 or 4 players this summer and they will be
Clyne - Tribunal
Jordi Alba - £12-£16 million
Gaitan - £14-£25 million
And one you all didn't see coming....
Ricky Van Wolfswinkel £12 million

Right well I'm half cut but how can people say we cannot question SAF?

Yes he has brought us unimagined success over the years but lets look at it sensibly.... He is over 70!

Are we saying that just because of past successes we should stu k with what we know?

Absolute nonsense! Everything changes! Music, film, sport and football! We need to change to keep with the times. And changes at the top are needed sometimes which IMO are needed now.

We have a manager that has brought us unpresidented success over the last 20 years but that does not make him bullet proof from criticism does it!

We have seen our team overall be dragged out with the legends continually relied upon to keep the team going. We have only replaced the very important players with top drawer ie de Gea.

We need to be as a club forward thinking! SAF over the last 2 years maybe 3 has failed to see any forward thinking at all in tactical awareness to win games. He has an undoubted record in success but if the general fans can see that giggs, park etc cannot work in cm then yes as 'fans' we should be able to question what is going on!

We need some major investment in top players to improve the 1st team full stop!

IMO if we have the reported 100m to spend (which we don't) then we need to spend the most we have in 2 cm's. I have said since last year as needed 2 cm's and after Vidal going for 14m etc we were told no value nonsense. We need major investment now and in CM alone.

We can cope with Evra and the lack of a ST just now but we majorly need 2 cm's right now no matter who they are!!

Manchester City rise calls United to reflect on life with the Glazers

Sir Alex Ferguson's assertion that the Glazers have been good for Manchester United looks questionable after Monday's defeat

In a phrase which sounds authoritative but radiates helplessness, the Premier League declares itself "ownership neutral" meaning it has no preference for any structure on which England's great football clubs have come to be orchestrated. So the Manchester derby, which could decide the league's destiny in its 20th season, was among its myriad themes a contest between one club, City, whose owner has invested £1bn, and the other, United, the Glazers have drained of £500m.

Margins are fine, City's victory was only 1-0, they lead by just goal difference, two games remain and United, as Roberto Mancini continues to insist, could still win it. Yet Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed al-Nahyan's squad of world-class players assembled for Mancini, faced a United of veterans and promising youngsters who suddenly looked the product of the Glazers' taking culture.

The eyewatering £500m has been paid out of Old Trafford, from money forked out by fans in increased ticket prices, and TV and commercial income, to pay bankers, lawyers and accountants black holes of interest, fees and one-off charges. It has poured out in just seven years from the Glazers borrowing £525m to take over the greatest of clubs, then making the club liable to service their borrowings.

Sir Alex Ferguson has maintained success in that period, winning the Premier League four times and the Champions League, and the manager has confounded the fans protesting against the Glazers by repeatedly singing their praises. David Gill, United's chief executive, part of the board which opposed the Glazers' hostile bid in 2005, has afterwards said the takeover was restructured and pronounced himself happy with the debt burden.

The Glazer family's original plan was to register the famous Man United in the low-tax US state of Nevada and one day make money for themselves by selling it or floating it on some stock market. They always knew they needed United to remain successful to achieve financial gain, and did always budget, along with the oceans of interest they would drain from the club, to provide Ferguson with £25m or so a season to replenish his squad. To assess the impact which the Glazer takeover has had on the club, besides rising prices and the automatic scheme which forces season ticket holders to buy a seat at every cup match, it is always instructive to imagine United had the Americans never turned up in the first place. Flush with the largest turnover in the Premier League, with profits of £50m or £60m, paying relatively modest dividends as a plc compared to the Glazer leverage, it is difficult to imagine Ferguson being satisfied with the side he has. It is hard to think of him not aiming to build on Premier League dominance, and, while admirably continuing to promote young players, straining against Barcelona to become the best in Europe.

This season United were knocked out of the Champions League in the group stage, Athletic Bilbao wiped them out of the Europa League and now the Glazers' club need City to drop points in the Premier League.

When the "mind games" began a month ago, United's manager scoffed at Patrick Vieira, the City ambassador who had described as "desperate" Paul Scholes pulling the boots on again. Ferguson retorted that Mancini's re-acceptance of Carlos Tevez was more desperate. Yet there was a huge difference. Tevez, 28 and at the top of his game, has been reintroduced after a drawn out clash with Mancini. Scholes is 37 and came out of actual retirement for the central role of anchoring United's midfield. There he was overcome by the colossus of Yaya Touré, 28, a Champions League winner with Barcelona, signed by City with £24m of Sheikh Mansour's money, from a menu of choices requested by Mancini in 2010.

.

That is for then. For now, United fans forking out for tickets may again begin to question forcefully the claim that £500m taken out of their club has made no difference, an argument which for seven long years has been an insult to their intelligence.

Contrasting fortunes

£525m Borrowed by the Glazers to fund their 2005 takeover of Manchester United in 2005

£497.5m Interest, fees and bank charges paid out by United to service the Glazers' takeover since then, to 31 December 2011

£440m Gross debt still owed by Manchester United, who were debt free before the Glazers took over

£800m Invested by Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan into Manchester City from 2008 to 31 May 2011

£1bn Committed to Manchester City by Mansour, including investment since and planned new training 'campus'........

All I am asking is that you lot wake up and realise what is happening. Whilst we were winning you were willing to close your eyes to the long term damage they were doing. Now open your eyes and see.....I AM KLOOT

What a first team, and the back-up team would nearly be as good!
SAF would recoup a good few millions from sales and wages saved, and would not need to buy again for 2 years so it works out at 50million maximum per season.
C'mon Sir Alex, blow your budget this summer and build a team overnight, that could easily win the CL and PL next year.
You can retire then with your head held higher than ever.

Value in the transfer market..

De Jong on a free to sit in front of the defence which would allow cleverley/ Anderson to play there quick footbal allong with Nani and Valencia/Young and supply Rooney and Wellbeck.

Also try and sign Kagawa. He does look really good.
Think Martinez will be out of our reach reach as i think we would end up spending nearly all of our money on him, top player he is but we do need a few more acquisitions this summer to inject some fresh blood and life into the squad.

Maybe another LB to come in to challenge Evra. Cissokho is a good option and experienced too.

There may even be a CD and Forward brought in depending on who goes in the summer and what money is generated from the sales.

Evra played his best when he was in competition with Heinze. He needs competition again........

So I'd like to see Baines 10m brought in.

No defensive midfield options?
Break the bank for Javi Martinez 32m. He can cover Rio or Vidic through suspensions or back spasm problems at CB if we need him to aswell.

Kagawa 7 to 12m a central midfield/(in the hole) that can beat a player, slot a through ball in. He's scores & sets up goals.

That's a realistic spend and the positions we need to fill.

The one touch pass & move in the first 5 games of the season between Cleverley, Anderson, Young, Nani, Welbeck & Rooney was breath taking at times. Add Kagawa quick touch & thru balls plus he'll add goals from midfield. Even Pogba shifts the ball well in the reserves.

We were caught defensively meaning the opposition had at least 10 shots at goal. Carrick or Jones can sit above the CB's to prevent this.

DDG
Lindegaard

Rafael. Vidic. Rio. Evra
Fabio. Evans. Smalling. Fryers.

Carrick
Jones
Cleverley. Anderson
Pogba. Kagawa

Valencia. Rooney. Young
Nani. Chicharito. Welbeck

This isn't a best & 2nd best XI cause it's a squad games now. This team could dominate for the next 5yrs. Swap Evra-Blackett
Jones-Rio and add Tunnicliffe in DM
In about 2 seasons. Plus Petrucci & The Keane twins will be ready by then.

This is a great team we have in transition with the possible purchase of Kagawa.

We've paid 15m for our very own mini medical centre.
This 15m might be the best money spent if it keeps Anderson, Cleverley, Rio, Vidic and keeps a close eye on Fletchers condition.

1) LB: jordi Alba / baines
2)CAM: Eden Hazard
3) CF: Llorente
4) CM: Strootman

whats your thoughts?

Papisse Cisse, Cabaye, Tiote, Coloccini, Demba Ba, Krull.

Sir Alex "there's no value in the market".

Perhaps SAF isn't getting value from his chief scout, who I believe is also named Ferguson. Now there's a coincidence!
I wonder if this other Ferguson's scouting contribution is under question? (Can't be a relation, can he?)

Manchester United supposedly trying to bring Pique back to old Trafford. Yes he is a phenomenal player but why would he leave Barca and imagine how much it would set us back. I think we should use the money to test Dortmund on the sale of hummels. I think that he is just as good, younger, cheaper and has already got the experience when it comes to winning the league in a league said to be most like the premier league.
