Today your luck has just run out....Citeh in FA Cup ( no chance of a win), already out of the Carling Cup, no chance of the the league ( its Citys) and to top it off, you could well be out of Europe soon!

Ive been telling for weeks that its only a matter of time before the bubble burst but no-one on here would believe me

C'est la vie... theres always 2012/13 to look forward to

I'm sorry, but since when did this clown start coming on here preaching about how United are finished? Tel, you seem to have caught the 'obsessed with Manchester United' disease that Blair and lfc have! The best thing for you to do is stop coming on here and try and fight your urges. I know you love United, but you chose Liverpool and it has to stay that way.

62 years old? Maybe take 50 years off that?

Fergie always seem to praise Cavani, and i think soon we will need a striker when Berba and Owen at least will leave...so do you think he will sign for us?

From what I can see on this page, most people seem to think/ expect/ want that Ferguson will bring in a creative CM. I too would love to see that happen, but isn't it obvious that SAF sees Cleverley as that player? He always speaks very highly of him and he's played every PL game when he's been fit, and if we didn't already have him, everyone would be saying how he could fill that void in the CM. I hope SAF is right and Cleverley is the solution, but that's a lot of pressure on young shoulders! Therefore, I think it's unlikely that SAF will buy a CAM in January and perhaps summer, too.

To make room in the middle i reckon that Fletcher and Gibson should go - Gibson is obvious, but Fletcher may or may not be a popular departure. I think his time here has run its course, much like O'Shea's had - He was good in his time, but since his illness and stuff and i really don't think he's up there. Carrick is outshining - Carrick and Cleverly could be class for us, for a while. Id bring Rodwell in in January, maybe a youngster or two. But no one else, i don't think anything major will happen because everyone is cuptied so it would be a waste of a player for 6 months.

People talking about carick I do agree he had a good game but he always plays well when people dont press him hence his shocking performance in two games with Barca. For me Evra looks poor if villa had put gabby on the other flank rather then pit hin against smalling (who for me is a real player i rate him and jones so highly) they wud have got some change out of evra. Our attacking players seem to be the problem rooney is doing the simple things well but really a palyer of his ability needs to dictate these games more he at this rate he will never truely reach his potential which for me is the level we seek week in week out from messi and ronaldo. Nani well we all no the score there. Young started so well but is less impressive by the game a trend many villa fans have lived through once before. The only guy doing his job was a guy we just lost for a month Chich. I really do feel this side cant compare with the top teams in europe. But we are marching on picking up points if it were not for an person linsman last week the gap wud be 3 points so we do have positives but make no mistake about it this is a very very poor united side.

I think its a catch 22 with some of our players (Pogba, morrison, mecheda etc..) they're not deemed good enough to play for the first team because lack of experiance, but they cant gain experiance because they're not being played enough...
I think we should loan them out, Mecheda could go to everton or sunderland, or even a championship club.
I think its important that where ever they go they need a minimum of 20 games each.
SAF has showed that he isn't willing to play them, even with all our injuries we have, he still avoids them, so I think we should loan them out, and buy a older player like Owen or get someone like Larson in on loan... Not saying a striker, but someone that wont stop development when the youngsters return and add a bit of the experiance we have missed since losing Neville, Vds and schloes.
Just an idea.

Is there any prospect of United pulling their cheque book and getting Bale and Modric or maybe a sneaky bid for Cahill and van Persie due to contracts near ending?

What people forget about Pogba and Morrison is that there brilliant performances for the reserves and youth team are exactly that. RESERVES and YOUTH. They forget that when they were playing for the youth team they were playing against inexperienced players, who allowed pogba the space to smash a screamer in the back of the net. That gave Morrison the space to use his trickery and skill to get past the defender and play the nice little passes. They aren't going to do that against Palace, as much as you think they should be good enough to make an impact against a Championship side. Nevermind them being able to do in the EPL. Yes they have set the youth team and reserves alight with their performances but they are not ready yet. And theres still fans saying play them instead of carrick and fletcher. Its the fact that whenever one of them played good in the youth team and/or reserves, people on here rave about them and other fans get the impression they are ready to compete in the first team. Im not naming names, but you certainly all know who keeps bigging them up. Its unfair to do that as when they do start a game everybody expects wonders and feel let down when they dont perform as highly as everyone would expect from the raving reviews.

Now lazy journalists are going with the story that Ravel Morrison's contract is up at the end of the season. He is actually contracted to the club until the summer of 2014.

But lets not let facts get in the way of a good story eh?

Ed, when SAF eventually retires (who knows when), do you think scholesy has got a good chance of taking over? Seeing as how he's manager of the reserves and SAF might want to hand over the reigns (no doubt he will have an influence on who is next) to someone he knows and keeps it within the system? {Ed007's Note - I wouldn't think Scholes would be considered.}

Ok once again yesterday showed what a valuable player Carrick is as he absolutely ran the game and it shows what you Carrick haters know about football. To move on to more important matters. It is quite obvious why we are not scoring goals. Our wingers are not going past defenders and putting in crosses. Ashley Young always cuts inside and whips that ball to the far post time after time after time with no result. Tony V has either lost a yard of pace or his nerve. He looks very under confident and is always looking to release the ball rather than hurt defenders. Compare this to a Spurs side that attacks with free flowing football and wingers that want to hurt the opposition. We will get the ball out to the wing and then it will be passed backwards and end up with one of our centre backs whilst the opposition gets back into position. Also have you noticed without Chicho there was no one making runs into the box so if we got into attacking positions there was no one to get on the end of them. It was good to see the spud headed nipper playing higher up the pitch rather than him show boating in his own half. Jones was magnificent and brought much needed energy to the side Smalling just oozes class. We got 99 problems but Vidic aint one. RAINFISHTROMBONE

MUFC 2/1 for the title lfc 66/1 think this ends any debate about the comparisons of the two teams, any differing opinions from the scouse side can only be seen as the bitter ravings of jealous fans of a hasbeen team.

"{Ed007's Note - A blind, deaf, mute and clinically insane fortune teller could tell you LFC won't win the league this year, it's not really an opinion, it's a bit of a given, and I don't mean Shay!}"

True ed, very true. But "Scouse Logic" is a completely different science altogether, and the laws of common sense do not apply to it! ;)

"{Ed001's Note - Bilbao have two strikers, in Munain and Llorente, they are likely to sell one to raise much needed funds and enable them to keep Martinez. I think you can forget him moving any time soon. Thiago is also unlikely, Fabregas is there to replace Keita, not Xavi, Thiago is seen as Xavi's long term replacement. Higuain is not struggling for games, Di Maria is a City target and they expect him to go, though nothing is set in stone yet, along with Kaka, Neymar is unlikely to replace Higuain. Sturridge is going nowhere, they have high hopes for him.}"

Thanks ed, top note.

@Red Man.

Funny, how you did not comment on a single player that you thought was "interesting" and we should have bought.

You say couldn't we have bought something better than what we have at the moment, i agree, we could have, but is that what we want and you want? To buy someone simply because they are better than Fletcher or Berbatov? I don't think so. If we buy some player who ain't one of the best, but is better than what we have, i have no doubt in my mind, that you will the first one on here criticizing SAF, Glazers etc. for not buying the absolute top quality and settling for less.

So should we have bought Arteta and Parker in the summer? They are better than what we have, but nowhere near being some of the best. I personally don't think we should have have gone for them.

"I come out with a list of players that are unrealistic?"

YES you did. Please tell me why they are realistic, you haven't been able to done so. You might want to read Ed001's note below my previous post as well.

You say Thiago was available in the summer for 15mil, you think SAF would not have moved for him if that was the case? Seriously, you think he is that stupid and that bad a planner? The very next day after the story of Thiago being available appeared in the Spanish equivalent of the sun, he had signed a new contract, the very next day! So were Barca so quick and negotiations didn't even take more than a day to sign a new contract?

Nasri- Who gave you the impression he came back to United? He never did.

While you are clever to point out to Torres and deflect into complete another situation, you again, do not actually talk about any of the "interesting" players.

Is Mascherano any better than Carrick and Fletcher? I personally don't think so also we did not need him at the time. We had Hargreaves and Fletcher who played in the same position and are better.

Why didn't we move for Aguero and Yaya Toure?
Where did they end up? City! They went where they were offered the most money and oh don't say" we have to pay top dollar and market rate for the top players" what city pay is not market rate, you cannot better them when the only contributing factor is money, even getting into a bidding war is meaningless and that certainly was the situation with Aguero and Toure. As i said we can better them in the transfer market when we both go for the same player only if the player has his heart set on United (Berbatov). And if you are naive enough to think that any team should and can compete with city when only money matters, we should stop discussing this anyway.

Also, we did try for Aguero, so did Chelsea and Real Madrid (now do they have stubborn managers and greedy owners and offer what is not the market price ?) but he still ended up at City, just goes to show the what the only contributing factor in his transfer was.

Do i think every player Barcelona and Real Madrid have bought were available? Yes.

I hope you actually answer the questions in my previous post instead of asking non related questions.
