Well well I made it back in one piece. Just. Stag doo's are great especially with the best man perks but by christ Bond I bypassed the Casino for those other 'clubs' and am now over 4 figures down on the card.

Lets just say Mrs Jono was severly not impressed and still isn't.

Oh well on to footie. Scotland robbed again. What is it with diving away teams at Hampden?

Another qualifying bore for the next year now then.

Am surprised only Smalling of our young players got a pop in the England team would of prefered Clev to Milner easily for a bench spot.

Lets hope they are on bench for Wales game.

Jono {Ed007's Note - Bet you had better fun than you would in the casino but! Smooth Mrs Jono over with a kebab and giving yourself a good scrub.}

www.dailypost.co.uk/sport-news/liverpool-fc/2011/05/05/liverpool-fc-can-now-invest-more-in-team-rather-than-paying-off-debt-says-md-55578-28641649/

This shows that liverppool haev £123 million debt and interest payments on £17 million per year.

Man Utd easily break even and have funds for next summers transfer window.

Admittedly id rather have Liverpools debt than our debt but we are drastically improving revenue to £334 million and this doesn't include our new deals with DHL and the Vietnam deal. Also we have the Nike deal that will be re-negotiated which is currently worth £25 million a year which is rumoured to doubled. This will pay the interest on the bond.

However should the Glazers successfully float Utd on the Asian stock exchange and pay off the debt which is quite likely UTD would be in a very good position.

Liverpool need to buld a new stadium or as is more likely re-develop Anfield which will cost alot and eat into their transfer budget.

Also expect a few more new deals etc from the Glazers as they seek to increase the clubs sponsorship. {Ed007's Note - The Vietnam deal.........is that anything to do with 19?}

Reading the posts from the Liverpool fans here is like listening to my Leeds supporting buddies back home - they follow a team that is no longer relevant and yearn for the past looking to banter with United fans to validate their team. Sad.

I grew up in Scotland and was lucky with the talent the country produced and loved Dalglish as a player - but never liked his move to Liverpool.

Now Liverpool fans want a Scot to believe that fat C*****e A**m is a class player...good God!!

If you Liverpool fans really believe Andy C. Henderson, Downing and Adam will win you the league I'll have some of what you're smoking.

Suarez is your only real talent...so better hope for CL football to keep him when Madrid, City or Chelsea come a-calling.

Never mind if you dream that United, City, Chelsea, and Arsenal (that one is open to debate) will all drop below your level you might just win the League.

Dream on.

Liverpool fc , premership champions 2011/2012 season , theres a nice wee sentence for you tk............lfc
-----------------------------
*roar* Liverpool are not going to win the League. Liverpool will finish, at best, 6th. As soon as you scousers realise this, you will resort to your natural jobs, stealing door handles off whatever cars are available around the area, to put on the pieces of wood you use as doors on your caravans. As Bond said earlier, your big summer signing was a player(?) who seen himself rejected by Rangers, yes the same Rangers that had El-Hadji Diouf starting games for them last season. You paid £35million for what can only be described as a traffic cone, with a cannibal as his strike partner. You sold your best midfielder half an hour before the deadline, so no replacement was really possible was it. Oh wait, Jordan Henderson? Well, then everything is just fine, with the wonderful Henderson running around like a headless chicken. What about Doni? He's a good signing, we only scored seven past him. I'm sure Sebastien Coates will like the wheels being taken off his car by 15 year olds. He should settle in well, with the city of Liverpool being about as prosperous as a second class city in Uruguay. And that's all I've got to say about that.

Wow, the scousers seem to be causing quite a stir on here today. It's probably a good thing though, with the transfer window just closed, tedious international football being played, there's not too much to talk about at the moment. But I'm amazed that so many people are engaging them in conversation. I don't have a problem having a chat with the likes of Blair and lfc when they're interested in having a logical conversation, but it's clear today they're just here for a wind-up. If anyone would like to see Liverpool's current situation summed up rationally, then have a look at Ed007's post at 18:16.

And Blair, lfc, smarten up please? The banter today's been awful.

Matthew... {Ed007's Note - Thanks Matthew ;-)

I know its early(ish) doors lads, but dear me Andy Carroll cannot score for toffee, I lost £30 the otherday and in all honesty was rather annoyed, but then was immediatley not fussed when i realised i had not panicked and bought 35p for £35million pounds. Catch my drift?

The three stooges are back 'Redeyed', 'lfc' & the even less intelligent one 'Blair'. All believe Liverpool will challenge United and the other big boys this season, when they can expect 5th at best. They believe our debt is crippling us and is about to leave us bust, when the truth is we are a money making machine. The boneheads believe they are debt-free, when they actually have a net debt of £123m, plus whatever they spent on them lame players this summer, plus what ever losses they make this season. Gross debt is well over £200m. They don't know that they are paying £17m a year interest on this outstanding debt. They literally have no idea about their own clubs finances.

You plums can come on our site with your lame attempts at banter, but the truth is you have nothing on us apart from the fact you have two more European cups than us, but that is it because in EVERY other way possible, we are superior to you.

utd fans, read this-
1. our midfield is just great,we dont need anyone to improve it.
2. utd fans dismissing other teams, calling them poor and easy, calling clubs like everton and bolton crap, and its a easy 3 points.
3. after 3 games saying the prem is in the bag,maybe other teams should just give up, the title is ours again.
4. making out that young england internationls like henderson and carroll are no good, calling players like jack rowell appalling, in fact it seems any player that does not play for utd is no good.
5. making out your dedt is disapearing quicker than it is, as if paul daniels is in charge of it.
is it any wonder that all other fans dont like you, i wonder why, even the man city fans talk more sense than you lot do..........lfc

Ok, as no one seems to be posting much on here due to no transfer window. Lets start a conversation on who we think the next United manager should be when Sir Alex finally calls it a day and why ?

Okay Everybody,

Well Well, looks like Wesley talked himself out of a move to us, but without knowing the full SP it would be conjecture. Was a little bit disappointed if I am honest we didn't bring in one more big signing, but the great man must believe we have enough, we shall see. I have said all along this is Anderson's make or break season. He seems okay at the minute but we shall see. Saturday will be a test against Bolton at the Reebok. The Scum are on fire so we need to keep up or it could get silly. Early days though.

On another note financially we are looking okay. Lets see where this money from the alleged flotation go's and then I will comment further. I know we are saddled with the Glazer situation but our commercial growth has been astonishing when you take a step back. Not to mention the things planned. New shirt deal, training ground naming rights etc.

Impressed with Ashley Young and the other new signings (including the keeper) as well as the promotion of Cleverley in to the side. Fletch on the way back as well as Tony V. It all looks good at the moment. I am not robust enough to say 20 is in the bag because we are a long long way off that kind of talk. But it shows what a position of strength we must be in when none of the big money teams have made any attempts to snatch players from us. That is what everyone should be thinking about when they say we are financially vulnerable. It the Glazers were that bad don't you think there would have been a fire sale by now. Just a thought

Just like to post this for all true football fans everywhere who know great players. Today is the 80th anniversary of John Thomson, Glasgow Celtic goalkeeper, who tragically lost his life in a freak accident. In those days, goalkeepers were given no protection and it was this young player's courage in diving at the feet of an onrushing player that cost him his life. RIP John Thomson, Prince of goalkeepers.

"The Moon! Referring to Bolton team Sunderland Newcastle Stoke etc re- educating in football I don't need think you should take your own advice. All these teams are a average teams . We should beat these teams week in week out admittedly the odd bad day. If barca can tear apart a man utd team year after year and Madrid they will def not struggle against likes of Newcastle Bolton . Yes it's more physical granted but we should be on level par with barca as greatest team in Europe and we should quash Bolton etc. If we don't then we should start to re valuate how great our team actually is . Don't give me only two teams in Spain coz there are others and even so when them two teams play in champions league they majority of time tear most teams apart. Wise up Moon and stop being so biased."

- They're average teams? so to you, does that mean the only 'good' teams are the ones who seem to be around the Semi-finals of the champions League? The entire EPL and Championship are made up of good sides! or are you one of these people who see trophies as the only justification for being a good side?

well what you've just stated has no Logic whatsoever, What you're saying is because Barcelona dominated us it means they'll be able to walk over our teams? no way. Hercules beat Barcelona last season, Barcelona Beat us, Does that mean Hercules should beat us? going by your logic it does. I'm not sure if you watch a lot of Spanish league games but Real and Barcelona aren't as impressive as they look in Europe, they never do anything 'special' the other clubs in spain just tend to watch.

yes, 99% of the time we should beat them and we have the expectation too, but they have a belief that they can take something from the game. And do you honestly think Messi, Xavi and Iniesta would be as good with players like Barton, Davies, Yaya, Tiote, etc kicking them into next week? If you used a Premier League referee I'm confident the 'average' teams of the EPL would take something from the game, if you used a European Referee I believe Barcelona would hit the ground every time the wind blew.

as i said, is everything about being a good team to you based around success? We don't need to 're-evaluate' anything in our side. Liverpool, Arsenal, Bayern and Real are all very good teams despite winning very little in the last few years...We're one of the best and because our LEAGUE is stronger we have stronger competition.

Put it this way, if Our top 18 (minus the top two) played the top 18 from the La Liga I believe we'd come out with more victories. WE have a bigger standard of teams.

Another example of this would be that Gradel was bought from Leeds and signed for St. Etienne. A very big club, my point is that our Championship teams have the quality which big clubs want. you don't seem to get that much in the lower leagues of Europe's other elite leagues...Well as far as i'm aware you don't.

I think we're going to have to agree too disagree on this matter. We're not on par with Barcelona, we have a more competitive league than La Liga, so we're going to find it harder to beat the other good sides in our league, oh I mean 'Average' teams.

The Moon.

Is it just me or does it seem like the England side of the future is going to include a lot of united players, especially through the spine of the team. Smalling, jones, cleverly, welbeck, Rooney. The Spanish are so good bc they have so many players that play together year round for barca. Same could apply for England, and these players should all mature over the next three years. -KG

'RFT'

I love watching English youth develop under SAF, I like it far more than buying overpriced mercenaries like Sneijder. I know you do too RFT, there doesn't seem to be a better feeling than watching them grow into top talents. Would love to see Tunnicliffe, Morrison, Smalling, Jones, Welbeck, Cleverley & possibly Barkley all grow together with the foreign flair of De Gea, Rafael, Fabio & Pogba. Add them to our core of Rooney, Nani, Valencia, Anderson, Young, Vidic & Hernandez. We will have a very young and talented squad for years. It's evident that SAF is building something special at this club. When he said he will look to close the gap on Barcelona, I didn't think he meant straight away, I think he means he will build a team of youth to challenge for years to come. Watching Anderson and Cleverley pass quickly and keeping it to two touches, I think he is trying to play the Barcelona way.

Hi eds , when ferguson retires who do united fans want as the next manager ? my choice would be david moyes, can you imagine what he could do having a team with a few bob. {Ed001's Note - I think Moyes would be a disaster, unless you want to watch dire, defensive football? Moyes is good at what he does, but he is not right for a club with money to spend.}
