Contes turn for a riposte 'a little man now and in the past' paraphrasing but that's a poor comeback, saying nothing would wind José up more tbh, just end this war of words now chaps and concentrate on finishing 2nd and winning a cup.

It's only a matter of time before sometime is said about Conte's hair transplant 😆😆.

Agree2 Disagree2

07 Jan 2018 12:05:49
I think that's already happened. Didn't Jose say something along the lines of " I wouldn't lose any hair over it"

{Ed007's Note - Jose should just go full blown Conor McGregor at his next press conference.}

{Ed002's Note - It is just Mourounho being miffed knowing that Conte will take his dream job in the summer over him.}

Just been out to dinner for my brother’s 21st in London and bumped into Herrera and pogba. Asked Herrera if he will be signing a new deal and he said he hopes so. He was so polite and took time to take photos with us. I personally think he will move on in the summer but I love his passion and you can see he loves the club.

Nice. What did Pogba have to say?

pogba said nothing he needs the 3rd midfielder with him to interact 😀.

Haha unfortunately pogba is too big of a ‘celebrity’ so we were unable to reach him. Leahy with the size of his entourage I would not be surprised if that was the case 😂.

142 million, they could buy Southampton for that, save a bit of time besides going back every window for a player.

Good bit of business for the scousers - a massibe fee and not sure they really needed him any more. If they buy a couple of top class pieces they could be a real threat next year. They obviously need a better GK, 2 CM and they will challenge I think, Mahrez is rumoured, although I'm not sure where he plays. The standard of the Prem top 4 is getting better and better in my opinion.

We have to improve our team again in the summer to challenge for the title.

We sure do DB. We sure do.
I can't believe how many in here do rate him too highly. He is fantastic imo and will be a huge success at barcelona.
The fee of course is ridiculous but all fees are nowadays.
He is by far the best player at Liverpool at at the heart of most of their attacking play and was on the same wavelength with salah.
Vvd is a good player and is a player they needed again a crazy fee. However teams are very rarely better off when they lose their best player.
If they reinvest the balance well then it may work out only time will tell. But salah and mane will follow suit soon enough imo.

Coutinho is a top top player. We have not got anyone as creative as he is. Barcelona now have Iniesta Suarez Messi and Coutinho. That's four top creative players and why we still have a way to go to compete at Europe's top table. If City get Sanchez for £35m and we pay a similar amount for Ozil I think we will have been done. Sanchez us a far better player. Additionally it would mean Arsenal having £70m to spend making it harder for us to sign some players. Ozil is a very good player but let's be realistic he ain't a Coutinho. Liverpool as a team will be stronger if they reinvest the proceeds of sale in a really good keeper and Mahrez. Next year they get a top player in Keira too. Overall I hate to say it but the scousers ate doing good business. Let's hope our board back Jose.

I can't help thinking that Mahrez would be a decent signing for us this January. Brilliant in Leicester's title winning season his form dipped last year but now back playing well. He'd offer a good alternative to Mata on the right. He can dribble, shoot and has good pace. He's available for the right price and would be able to play in the Champs League!

I'd much prefer him to Ozil. That would mean a return to 4-2-3-1 with Ozil at 10 and Pogba back in a two man midfield. There are massive question marks over Ozil's work rate, Pogba often vacates the midfield which would leave us vulnerable much like Arsenal have been since he's been there. I don't see Ozil pressing which would mean us continuing to drop into a very deep defensive shape when we don't have possession. I'd steer well clear, I think Pogba can be just as creative from a slightly deeper midfield position but then again what do I know!

He was their best player. A creator/ scorer of important goals who always turned up in the big games and their one player I worried about when we faced them.

Their other good attacking players play further up top, inverted wingers/ forwards in mane and salah (don't rate firmino), and they have no one to fill that playmaker role.

This will undoubtedly weaken them for the rest of the season, with a lot of football to be played (albeit will lead to strengthening in the summer)

Ozil is a far better player. Sanchez is good but his attitude stinks who needs that. Where would Mahrez play for them?

I must say I disagree I thought he was a good player but the hype surrounding him always mystified me a bit.

I think Liverpool have done incredibly well getting what I believe is a staggering fee.

I asked this a couple of weeks back and this was Ed02's reply. Seems like a real mess. {Ed002's Note - Malcom was of interest to Barcelona, Olympique Marseille, Dynamo Kyiv, Chelsea and Juventus before he left Corinthians for a loan at Girodins Bordeaux to gain some experience. At the time he was expected to join Chelsea but the issues surrounding his ownership was a mess, to say the least. Bordeaux worked hard to untangle matters and persuaded the player to sign a permanent deal which ended a very ugly third party ownership deal with multiple parties involved in January 2016 (to explain - Corinthians were entitled to 30% of Malcom's transfer fee, while his agent Fernando Garcia held 35% of the economic rights. The rest was divided between Nílson Moura, who had 15%, and Guilherme Miranda and Thiago Ferro, with the other 20%) . The head of scouting in France for Chelsea has continued to watch Malcom with scouts from Braga, Juventus, Porto, Liverpool, Southampton, Manchester United and I imagine others taking an interest and watching him play. Manchester United did speak to Bordeaux about the player in the summer but other wide players were preferred by the club - and I suspect that is still the case so the might return again. }.

I still think we're trying to walk the ball into net too much, we are very narrow and at times it's like we let the opposition time to set up and then try and pass through them which very difficult. A bit more wing play get to the by line early and cross the ball, l feel Shaw is provided much more to the team with his overlapping runs and l hope he gets a chance now to improve. A simular attacking RB who can overlap and cross the ball would be a great addition.

I wonder how Mourinho views Fosu Mensah? He seems to be playing right back and won mom there against City. Always had time for him as a player, though as a central midfielder. Maybe that will be factored in before buying someone at RB?

I think they may have. I recall we were strongly linked with Aurier before he went to Spurs. I like Fosu, always looked a good player, hope he continues to do well at Palace and gets a chance next season. How good his crossing is will perhaps be the question if he is to play full back.

Id rather see Fosu as understudy to Matic but as for candidates to buy I'm struggling.

06 Jan 2018 11:55:30
I too would prefer Fosu in midfield as opposed to right back. Although he has done well of late for palace at right back, he does seem wasted there. Can’t really think of any names for right back if I am honest. Fabinho is the obvious one and Coleman has always been linked before he got injured. If he can return to the same good form pre injury then I would love to see him at united. A wildcard/ random option would be Cedric from Southampton. I’ve always thought he was a very underrated player.

Axel Tuanzebe looked good when he had a few games at right back with the first team last season. I hope he gets a few games there this season to see what he can do. I think he could be a very special player and needs to get some game time.

Is tfm good enough on the ball to play the magic role? Not seem much of him in midfield.
