Are we still interested in Christian Errickson of Ajax? Will like to see him in our colours in the summer.

So lets have people's line-up predictions for the Liverpool game and the Ajax opener. I think we will see Cleverley on the bench for Saturday. Scholes will start. Nani will start if fit, but will be replaced later on in the game by Young. I think Hernandez will get a start and Smalling will start at RB if fit. For the Liverpool game I will go:

__________DDG
Small__Ferdy__Evans__Evra
_____Carrick__Scholes
Toni______Rooney______Nani
________Hernandez

I think we will see Young & Cleverley start against Ajax as they need game time. I think we will see DDG in goal again and I think Rafael & Fabio will start as full-backs. Berbatov is due a game and I think we will see Welbeck start upfront with him. I think Evra, Valencia, Carrick, Rooney & Ferdinand will be rested for Norwich away. I think/hope if Nani doesn't start on Saturday he will play against Ajax. I expect to see Pogba on the bench.

___________DDG
Rafael__Small__Evans__Fabio
_____Clevers___Giggsy
Young____Berbatov____SJPark
_________Welbeck

Not United related but I cannot believe the FA have turned down the appeal against Robert Huth's red card. There have been worse tackles that have had cards rescinded this season and nothing tackles have been punished. The FA are consistently making a mockery of themselves.

You say get rid of toni and bring in someone with more trickery and assists and then say get rid of nani who is exactly the kind of player you say we need to replace to toni so at the moment we have the best of both type of player i think you must be confused or maybe rudi has it right and you should lay of the smokes there having an adverse effect

very strange game today, once again we dominated the game and we nearly lost it like we did against Liverpool. Once again there was a contributory factor Patrice Evra. How does he remain as captain whilst making goal costing mistakes game after game. And did Rio turn his back for that deflected goal. All you doubters who have been on here doubting Chicho today saw Fergie admit it was a mistake not to start with him, pure class. RAINFT"""
dear mr rainft
ngiak is surprised he is in total agreement with you
2.5 years of absolutely horrendous defending is rewarded with captaincy
moving forward he is decent
but efending, the defence has always gotta work extra to cover for him and paid the price time and time again
rio is getting past it and this has been a steady deterioration for over a year
and evans... very very ordinary, on his best days.. and even this occurs in the rare occasion
rafael is also way too erratic and dives in too much... from day one. his best display was a right wing role against arsenal last season..
whats that about our midfield...? :) ngiak is very very afraid for the near future... comeback for bryan robson, gary neville and steve bruce?

We need new players its not a matter of if we do anymore. No Question
Just look at this:

Da Silva Twins: Both seem to be always coming back from injury. And when they do play the are very rash and immature with their play.

Ferdinand: Lost pace and fairly inconsisent.

Vidic: Might not be the same quality when he gets back from this injury.

Jones: Seems to be injury prone.

Evra: Seems to be uninterested and rarely gets back into his position in time.

Giggs: still playing at 38 In the centre of the pitch, Not good enough cant play it simple. Played the entire game against chelsea.

Scholes: Has been playing well but cant keep going forever.

Carrick: Seems to be in and out of games, Can make costly errors.

Fletcher: Not sure if he is even coming back.

Nani: The most inconsistent player in the United Squad.

Valencia: Severly one footed.

Rooney: Cant win every match for us and will eventually get tired of the lack of world-class players around him (Like Fergie Promised)

hernandez: Scores Clinical goals but cant seem to pass.

Berbatov and Owen: Both getting old and cant seem to get a game.

This is Getting to the point were i am starting to worry. United need an Overhaul. Dispose of several players and Get in Quality. It will be costly But if United don't spend soon they may not even be making the champions league positions within the next 3 years.
Sign: RB, CB, LB (Short term), LW, CM,ST.
Sell:Da Silva's, Evra, Carrick, Valencia, Nani (if we can get 30mil), Berba.
Retire: Giggs, Scholes. Owen.

And i know United have alot of Quality Youth Players coming Through (e.g. Pogba, Fryers, Petrucci(soon)), But United need Quality now to keep them in good stead until these players are fully ready for the First team!
What do you guys think? Ed?

ok just a thought but since evra is our captain, and thus pretty much guaranteed to start why not play him as a winger and give fryers a stint at lb?
he is still great going forward as we know and would give fryers a bit more protection to ease him in
perhaps nani could be used as a supporting striker with rooney further forward?
anyway wondered what you guys thought on evra and whether nani could play in that role

van der sar
I got a few text messages from friends saying, 'What about you?'," Van der Sar said, when asked about following Scholes' example. "I'm quite happy at the moment. There's no doubt in my mind."

on DDG

"It's always difficult if you're coming into a new club and new league, especially the English one. It's a very demanding one, can be a very tough one," he said.

"He has to deal with that. They paid a lot of money for him and he has to come through that.

Van der Sar added: "I spoke to Anders and he's disappointed of course that he's injured at the moment because he's really been magnificent."

Anyone else see Kenny's post-match interview?

How does he keep getting away with saying Suarez was wrongly banned?

Maybe the FA want to put this whole affair behind them. I get that, but he's said this on 3-4 occasions now.

Fergie would have had his own 8 match ban by now if it was the other way round.
