He is very quick witted and funny at times but he really does himself no favours at other times. While we are winning games like that and playing the football we are at the moment he can do what he wants though.

I don't like him, but if you won't pursue allegations of financial fraud on pl but want to appeal against something some said after you lost the case, you deserve to be mocked and ridiculed.

Well talk about smash and grab, what a game! Didn't think we deserved to win but who cares. Tactically I think this was one of our best games this season. There was times where we didn't close them down quick enough but overall defence were solid, only outdone by a ronaldo special. Martial again was sublime, especially in the last 20 mins or so the way he interconnected with pogba and shaw and rashford should've really ended it at the end. Not a smalling fan by any means but he did well today. Lindelof again was great. Say what you want about mourinho but I loved the hand to the ear at the end. He has been getting so much criticism with people saying he's finished, but he showed today tactically he's one of the best. Mata and fellainj, perfect subs. Immense team effort, let's keep this up against city!

The set up was right.
Game management was right.
Substitutions were right.

Players gave their all.
Concentration levels were high, we looked switched on the whole game.

Martial done exactly the job Jose asked of him defensively and was standout offensively.

Mata yet again Kickstarter the comeback with some magic. I love that little Spaniard.

Juve had enough chances to win the match, Cuadrado should have scored.
However what resilience from this team yet again.
I think that 5 times we've gone behind in the last 5 or 6 matches and we haven't lost 1 of them. This team is playing for the manager. No question.

And the reds go marching on.

Good result but we seriously can't be playing static against city they will eat him alive with their pressing.

Agree0 Disagree4

07 Nov 2018 22:04:29
Wow. What a result. Was not pretty but we showed great character in the end. The substitutions were great from Jose but poor from allegri. Bringing on barzagli allowed us to trouble the defence. I am absolutely buzzing. I don’t care if it was lucky. To go away to this unbeaten Juve side and steal it like that is incredible.

Thought martial’s workrate was fantastic and Herrera must start every game. Pogba was poor and must keep it simple when we are near our goal otherwise we will get punished. We have put together a really good run. This weekend is the big test. City are the best team around for me at the moment. Beat them and what a turn around by the players and Jose. The style still isn’t great, but the spirit and character the team are showing to score late goals and complete these comebacks is phenomenal.

Martial worked his sox off again. Young was good and give a much Beyer balance than valencia.
Matic was good as was herrera.
Good shift by a team playing for their fans their shirt and their manager.
Effort goes a long way and even though some play was poor we stuck at it.

07 Nov 2018 22:35:35
Fellaini's presence when he came on moving up and down the middle between a number 8 and up front as a number 9 made a big difference in the game in the final third.
Like when he played upfront for Everton. He was a headache for Juve.
There was some good build up play for a lot of the game too.

Makes you wonder, if we can get to Jan in a solid position, what we can achieve if we get in a cb and possibly a right forward.

I feel sorry for the fans who turned their back on the team a few weeks ago, they have missed a great time to support us, what a win tonight, Jose has done incredibly well to turn this around since the Newcastle game, I wonder what we can do this season.

07 Nov 2018 22:56:20
I couldn't care less about those fans. I've more respect and admiration for fans of city and liverpool than i do united fans who turn their back on the club.
Id still be watching us in div 2

Yeah we did! We were on the ropes, we rode our luck, but we beat Juve away. The team the conceded none concedes twice in 4mins. Not getting carried away but we needed such a boost. We didn't play bad, just gulf in quality of the players in either side showed in terms of the Juventus gmaeplay. Looking forward to the derby now! Let's keep it going!

Half time and I think that is a pretty decent away performance against one of the best teams in Europe.

Alexis looks sharp and we look like we could get something on the break. Pogba has given the ball away a few times but that's just the type of player he is.

Believable3 Unbelievable0

07 Nov 2018 21:01:20
Shaw needs to tuck in, closer to Lindelof. Quite a few Juve attacks have come from his side, they're excellent at passing from deep. Pogba needs to do better and a bit of belief upfront is needed.

Liking the look of the team again. Herrera in for Fred and Jesse replacing mata. Sanchez up front again.

Another chance for sanchez to demonstrate he's actually still a decent player and maybe make himself a long term starter. Not too confident he'll take it, but at least I won't be left with that horrible feeling when he leaves that if jose just played him upfront with some speed and creativity behind him he'd have been a great success.

Not seeing him given that opportunity has been a major source of my frustration and I'm still hoping he'll see this as an opportunity and grab it with both hands.

They've done everything by the book ED001. We have to forget how City, who only recently have started competing for honours, are now a more valuable club than Liverpool, Arsenal, Atelti, Juve Chelsea etc, bearing in mind they've done so legitimately.

Just watched Every one of Rooneys goals and assists for United.
Sometimes you really forget how much of an outstanding talent that boy was.
I don't think he gets the credit he deserves from our clubs fans. For me there was never any better player than Rooney for Manchester United since he came to the club.

1 thing Jose does not have is a Wayne Rooney. Lukaku may be bang out of form although he does have certain skills, in my eyes he pales in comparison to Wazza who had everything. It's a shame our fans fell out of love with him towards the end,
I was sad when he left United. He epitomized the United team I knew for what 11 years. One also wonders if he had a better United team around him, is it plausible that we let him go to early?

I know a lot won't agree with me on here as I remember how people turned on him towards the end but my gosh what a player, in his prime he would get into my first 11, a striker who could play any position on the pitch.

{Ed025's Note - world class for me ross, as a person a total knobhead who was not helped by his dickhead family, but as a footballer he was top notch mate..

He was great but to me the best player i have ever watched playing for the club was Paul scholes.

Stayed a couple of years too long imo but a great servant nonetheless.

No debate Shapps. Fantastic player, gave his career to United and is our top scorer. Respect where its due.

I will look back fondly on his time at United. Time heals old wounds.

A good player but declined too early and wasnt at his top level in his last 4 to 5 years at United.

Agree1 Disagree2

07 Nov 2018 10:14:45
Why does it have to be a Rooney debate shappy, there's no debate over other players who have contributed a lot lot less to the success of Manchester United.
I can't believe that people would question him, he scored 250 goals for our club, that is an amazing feat which will probably stand for decades, if ever beaten at all.
Ronaldo gets so much more respect from our fans, yet he was only here for 6 years and he left by forcing through a move to Madrid. Rooney was what 13 years at the club, yeah there were a couple of transfer requests but he never went, Ronaldo did.
Rooney was a no.9, a number 10, a bloody central midfielder for the best part of a season.
He owns record after record, look at all the great players that have played here, Rooney sits on top of them all with every record.
I honestly cannot understand why anyone questions him for club or even country.

Agree3 Disagree1

07 Nov 2018 10:33:07
Bull that he declined 4-5 years too early. he was in a declining team or a transitioning team, whatever you want to call it.
We had no midfielders good enough under van gaal so he had to play in central midfield for God's sake.
In the 3 seasons before rvp came to the club he scored 84 goals.
In the season before rvp came he scored 34 goals and was once again shunted our to the left or played behind rvp, could one really blame the lad for having his nose out of joint.
Rvp is looked upon so fondly by our fans for his greatness in 1 season, what about Rooneys greatness every season.

Great player, but could have been so much more.

No one can take away his achievements, and he deserves a large amount of praise for them.

However, myself and probably most people feel a little let down by him in the end. If he worked as hard off the pitch and dedicated himself to his sport like Ronaldo did he could have achieved so much more. He also took the kids out of the club on a couple of occasions with transfer requests in order to leech a few extra pounds out of the club. His poor lifestyle meant he declined early, he peaked at 24 rather than 28. That is why at 32 he is playing in America while players such as Scholars and Giggs played on for a further 6-8 years at the highest level. I don't buy the he started young so was going to finish young. Giggs started at 17, yet he showed if you look after yourself in the right way you can go on well into your mid or even late 30's.

In the end Rooney did well, but he could have done so much more. To a certain extent I feel he wasted a huge opportunity that very few get the chance of.
